Right, so you’re solution is sack Ange and do what?

    I’m a fan. I’m calling a spade, a spade. We’re clearly shyte. And our manager clearly hasn’t a clue.

By the sounds of it, our manager is not alone

Yep, dozens of crosses to a plank of wood supported by 2 players who blow hot and cold.

  3. We’re a couple more bad results from being told that we’ll be signing no one in January because we’re not wasting money on this manager.

You should be more worried about the manager to be honest.

  5. CalMac has a hamstring strain,

He is back running on grass & will be rejoining Training this week.

I’d say unlikely for European game but might make Sheep game.

Not alone are we missing the individual injured players, CalMac, Kyogo & Forrest in particular but I think their absence has caused squad to lose confidence,

Even though there were mistakes all over the place today , I think we had 4 off the bar.

Our luck is out & our Confidence is low.

Kinda dreading Thursday night but will be glued to TV all the same.

  6. However disappointed you are, this was not dross. We hit the bar three times. One mistake by Ralston cost us. And I thought Dundeee Utd were excellent, much better than the other teams who get everyone behind the ball at Celtic Park and pose no attacking threat. The injury list contains about 9 players who would start for us.

  7. We’ll be getting pumped during the week and can look forward to a trophyless season finishing anything from 3rd to 6th. And September Weekend isnt even out of the way yet. WTF ! This is feckin murder. Various Idiots, Clowns and Imposters finishing that game.

  8. I get we hit the post and were unlucky not to score more.

Dundee Utd should have had a pen and had a couple of excellent chances to win it near the end.

    The league table doesn’t lie.

  9. As long as the majority continues to blindly give money to the tories that run our club nothing will ever change.

Lambs to the slaughter on the pitch and in the stands.

I’m off to naples in two weeks paid for by my season ticket money, best decision I’ve made for years.

  10. SIONNAIGH @ 5:08

“Thank God der Hun are woeful.”

Well, what does that say about us, in 6th place? Woeful or not, it looks as if they will have an unassailable lead by the end of October. Lawwell – job done.

I know people on here are sick of hearing about Toney, but consider this: How could anyone, scout or no scout, have compared the rapier like, supremely fit Toney, mustard keen to join us, with a corpulent, reluctant Ajeti sloth, and opted for the latter? That the CEO who took that decision was presumed to be acting in Celtic’s best interest has proved to a sick joke. That’s the last word from me on it.

  11. I said this last season but missing chances, especially sitters isn’t “bad luck”. That’s why clubs try to identify and pay for good strikers. I’m not buying the line of “we were unlucky because we missed lots of chances”.

    Ajeti isn’t “unlucky” – he’s gash.

  12. can’t believe how meekly we accept the ref decisions , case and point when McCarthy was violently tackled in the first half we as a team should be surrounding the ref demanding action against the offender but no we always accept the decision while we all sip water from a water bottle at the dug out , pathetic.

  13. Ajeti isn’t “unlucky” – he’s gash.

    —-

Same thing could and probably should be said about the manager.

  14. Reduced to rubble before the September weekend staycation.

Match day four, at Celtic Park though it really doesn’t feel like Celtic Park anymore, the season ticket debits are the only things kicking in at Transitional FC, where £Millions of redirected supporter’s money gets spent to watch ‘kick n rush’ football leave with league points from Celtic.. If you’re wide enough to have avoided Leverkusen good on you, but the Celtic Cynics are slaughtering the Skeptic’s for a season ticket some working men, have only just begun paying.

Fancy the Celtic Job? – ‘ too right when’s my jet ‘ How are you on defending? – Look mate, don’t do it, my game is attack ! Download your tickets, see you after isolation. An unmitigated disaster unfolding before our eyes, they chased a playing legend out of town, then bought millions more wingers to bring us this.

For blameworthy bad pitch last week? see great pitch this week, Celtic couldn’t beat Clancy’s drum ( is that a thing?) dire performances from middle to front, Dundee Utd, like Livingston ( see my post last weekend ) couldn’t believe their luck. Wanting to attack includes scoring, and if Albian Ajeti ever finds a club he can do it for with any consistency or regularity given the tools he doesn’t have, he’ll be a lucky man.

Turnbull, Rogic, McCarthy were awful in any order you like and the sheepishness with which we announced MacGregor’s ‘deal’ tells its own story. If Rogic could ditch Babar’s touch he might have been a player, right now he’s not what we need. McCarthy looks like he wants to play ‘walking five a sides’ down the Crown till retirement, Turnbull another that looks like he just cannot be ars@d.

This is a Celtic side from the ghosts of the past, in the sh8te not doldrums, and the revolution will not be televised, welcome to the lean years, where your season ticket could only have been previously devalued, by a Fraudulent FC.

I think Ajeti had only played 45 minutes in the 8 months before we bought him.

It was impossible to scout him. Cavet emptor buying sight unseen.

Who actually bought him and Barkas?

  16. AN DÚN on 26TH SEPTEMBER 2021 5:34 PM

No, you can’t criticize “Angeball” (how cringey does that term sound with each dropped point?).

Either you’re delighted that we missed some chances at home to Dundee United or you’re a hun. That’s how it works, I think.

  17. @ AN DÚN on 26TH SEPTEMBER 2021 5:00 PM

Sorry, but it’s nonsense to put this all on Ange.

Zero options on the bench, zero ability to change formation. Playing the same guys for 90 mins x3 games a week because of no other options. This is the weakest Celtic squad in a long time.

Still had net £16m in the bank as at 30 June, so will be winning the balance sheet cup again this year.

  18. I agree Ajeti is rubbish, but we have Kyogo & hopefully the Greek lad once we get him on the pitch will be an improvement, I reckon when those two are available, we will see very little of Ajeti..

Forrest, CalMac & Julien will also strengthen the team immeasurably.

Ange wont be sacked any time soon, we cant get anyone in till next Transfer Window, so it’s just one game at a time & see where we are come Christmas.

    — Yes that seems to be the general rule of thumb. Also I’d add my personal favourite – you better have a manager and back up team sorted if you say the current bunch aren’t up to it.

  20. onenightinlisbon on

We all knew that the new manager would need time yet some want him bagged before the end of September….wonder who would get the job?

  21. We all knew that appointing Ange was a gamble. We went into detail about the merit of such a gamble, however the die has been cast.

The journey has just begun, we’re not even at the first station yet and we’re definitely not yet firing on all cylinders.

It is far too early to disembark.

    HH.

  22. ONENIGHTINLISBON on 26TH SEPTEMBER 2021 5:44 PM

I don’t want him sacked – that would just set us back even further.

However, I’m far from convinced we’ve made the right appointment. I hope I’m wrong but I’ve not seen anything yet to raise my confidence on this one.

  23. ROLLING_STONE on 26TH SEPTEMBER 2021 5:41 PM

I won’t go round the houses on this but I have not criticised Ange’s use of subs today. I’m criticising our play. Something we’re suppose to work on in Lennoxtown.

Our starting 11 was more than good enough to beat Livi and Dundee Utd and we’re performing shockingly bad.

  24. @ GEEBEE1978 on 26TH SEPTEMBER 2021 5:06 PM

Sorry, but that’s nonsense. Just throw out a potential plan B that Ange could try?

We have one striker. We have a 22 year old and 19 year old winger, with Montgomery as back up. We can’t sub Turnbull or Rogic as there is no one else.

These guys are playing x3 games a week and Ange has no other options. You need a big pool for the amount of games we play and Ange currently has about 13 he can make use of.

We have £20m in the bank. The issue, as ever, is with the Board.

No one on here is happy with the recent results but look at the players the manager has had at his disposal.

So many who would be first team picks are injured.

Pep or Jose would struggle with the guys we have at present!

We should judge the manager at the end of the next transfer window and when he has a fully fit squad to use.

Let’s not forget what he has inherited…..
