I was at Tannadice in the 66/67 season when we lost 3-2 and it still turned out not a bad season.
We do need a goalscorer.

We do miss Hoopers poaching instinct.
What we really miss is a playing system that puts our players in scoring positions.
The Utd goalie did not make a decent save till the last ten minutes.
He was practically a spectator today.
This is happening all to frequently at Celtic park.

That’s pretty much what I was thinking too. Much of our build up play was good, especially when you consider how well organized Utd were. We mixed it up well with some fast play, both down the wing and through the middle, but today it didn’t happen.
For sure if we had a bit more quality up front, both in terms of finishing and guile, then today would have been very different. Sammi would have given us the guile.
I’d have liked to see Rogic get a game, I like what I have seen of him, he holds onto the ball extremely well and breaks through tackles. I’d like to see him and Pukki play together.
They would cause defensive all sorts of problems and create space for Stokes or Balde.

We are supposed to have a creative player in Rogic.
He does not get picked.
We prefer to play Mulgrew a defender in midfield.
Our system is based on countering rather than creating.

If people think constructive is being harsh on the team they need to get out more. The team is crying out for goals in the shape of a player or an improvement in our fk,corner and final balls , its there for all to see, utd could have won by a few today without reply and that’s a worry, we are not better from last season, we are a lot weaker in MD and up front and it needs addressed. I will get it in the neck for my last comment but we need a forward thinking addition to the coaching staff. Johan and Neil were masters in defence.

Had to miss the game today and listened to it on shortbread – pundits all absolutely gutted when we equalised, they just couldn’t hide it.
Sounded like a pretty forgettable game but we remain unbeaten with no new injuries and I’m happy enough with that ahead of Amsterdam.

Just back in record time from Celtic Park after sharing the day with loads of CQN legends.
Always puzzled by the dafties that leave before Celtic equalise, this time through majestic
Mulgrew.
Celtic did enough to have won this game, and it’s not often you’ll leave CP happy with
a point, but today was one such day, against a very good Dundee Utd.
Anthony Stokes had an instant dose of new contractitis, missing two guilt edge chances, and overhitting his passes, Balde failed to dominate and didn’t do enough to keep the equally
ghostly Pukki, off the park.
When you consider the ‘no cutting edge’ cliche, and add no shooters from the final quarter of the pitch, it’s no surprising that we’re not scoring regularly, so no surprises when hungry professional performers leave with a share of the spoils.

The footballing world is a different place now mate. They bought a £3m player for 12m because they were silly and MON got the best out of a great player, but i don’t think they make them like Chris anymore but their is plenty of flos out there. Also if fees don’t matter did you see the Man City score today? Money can’t buy success but it can help it.

Stokesy had a good volley blocked early on in the game and forced a great save from his flick on near the end, he is my motm, we carried too many passengers today
21 competitive games played this season already.
The first game played was in July.
That’s a lot of football in anybody’s book.
Try not to be too critical of the players and the gaffer.
Disappointed with our lack of clinical finishing and our reluctance to shoot from outside the box.
That said – was pleased to see us pull a rabbit out the hat at the death! There’s always going to be days when we are not firing on all cylinders but the Team can’t be faulted for effort.
Do we go with watertight defensive tactics or hope we have our shooting-boots on .v. Ajax on Wednesday?
I would take the draw now!

I know mate, Chris Sutton. I think the whole epl proves this on a weekly basis, best league nonsense that its a gamble either way. Liverpool game should be good though, Pool got a chance to go tops. On a side not I just think we should have better striking options for a club the size of ours.

Back from game today. Bought ticket as for the family today. 85 bucks. Celtic were awful and Pukki and Balde are never anywhere near good enough. We are pedestrian and one dimensional.
But we have loads of money in the bank. So its all good.
No more money gets spent on celtic until they buy a decent striker.

Not convinced a specialist coach is necessary in any department, with the exception of goalkeeper.
Breaking down any packed defence with fit well organised athletes is a tough task and a great leveller.
Just back from game. Firstly well done Jackie McNamara & Dundee United a good young team who defended well and looked very dangerous on the break. I’d forgotten what a good attacking positive midfielder looked like, Stuart Armstrong was exceptional today and highlighted what we are missing.
Celtic. Side pass, side pass, back pass, another side pass and hoof long to a collection of forward none of whom are good in the air. Everything was done at snails pace. The centre backs, Mulgrew, Izzy & Forrest played well, the rest were poor, especially the captain who was awful today.
Still unbeaten and 16 wins & 2 draws in last 18 home league games a great record. Bad day at the office, move on to Wednesday.

I had said KevJ should be banned for his disgusting personal attacks on our manager not for his opinions on how the club is run or the team is picked.
Mr Lennon has sacrificed & tolerated an awful amount for Celtic and should be treated with more respect.
