“But some players just seem to attract the ire of the crowd. It’s as if they’re waiting on him making a mistake just so they can go nuts.”
That is exactly the case. there are a lot of angry, hostile wee guys at the game, from the “I’ve paid in so I’m entitled to my opinion” brigade. Problem is these clowns are spouting other’s agendas and opinions as they seldom have the gumption to form a valid opinion themselves. It’s why a section of Celtic supporters don’t like NFL in my opinion.
I occasionally post about the antics of these abusers. Some of it is truly vile and a Hun would struggle to do worse. Thing is these guys are there every week…… I had an altercation with one guy, in 409, over abuse he was dishing out to Mark Wilson. Thing is this guy thinks he is a great supporter and told me so and he is there at the Arbroath and Morton games.
Their behaviour and outlook towards Celtic and our players says a lot about their personality and psyche.
Well there was certainly plenty of guys like that in my section yesterday. I was also embarrassed by their language. There were a lot of kids there and absolutely no need for some of the remarks.
On another note. The Green Brigade were excellent all through the game and provided a great atmosphere in what were dismal conditions.
Also – I got to see the Kano Foundation flag which was great. Well done to all involved!

A team who bring in promising youngsters then try to improve them before selling them on for a profit are hardly likely to splash the cash on a proven goalscorer just as they would be reluctant to sign an older player who is coming to the end of his career. When bringing in these youngsters they are aware that not all of them will succeed so if two out of every say five make it and earn the club big money from transfers im sure the club would be happy. Some of us as Celtic supporters still have not accepted we are now a feeder club.In 1967 we were the kings of Europe but we have never reached that height again and the way football is structured and the money involved we are most unlikely to do so again.Taking that into account Neil Lennon is doing a first class job at Parkhead and if you are unsure just think back to the recent past and our performances under Tony Mowbray.H.H.

Its surely better to have 3 or 4 forwards chipping in with goals than a reliance on 1 player?
The problem with goalscoring we currently have is a lack of chances created. When Commons doesn’t play there’s no creativity from the midfield and our wide players seem more intent in cutting inside and into packed defences than getting down the outside and getting the ball into the penalty box. On the occasions we do get wide and a cross comes in its generally of poor quality.
Create more chances and our forwards will score more goals.
