On the positive we have given ourselves a good chance to go through only if we screw the bobbin and cut out the poor defending , which Brendan mentioned in his report on the radio. More to the point, who will he replace in the team? I thought the team performed brilliantly, and no one deserves to be dropped. James Forrest ran riot – really enjoyed his game tonight. Sinclair is a must play too…
All in, it’s much better to be wondering who to drop than hoping he’s fit in time. Good place to be on the team front!
I think he’s happy with forwards this window, but he won’t be happy with the two quick goals 2nd half although players still to come back from injury

That said, Joey is right about him and Brendan Rogers not moving in the same circles – Joey likely prefers gold teeth so he can sell them for snout in prison. That or the smoking ban has meant pub and eateries are out for stubbing cigars out in youth players eyes. Poor Joey, always the bridesmaid and never the bride.

Off MA heed with tonight, brilliyant. In Englandshire watched the game wi bhoy wearing the pink strip, it’s no that pink, it’s, Fuck it, doesn’t matter it’s Celtic an so was he, great nite. Hail hail.
Some great goals against a fairly tidy side. Brown, Griffiths, Forrest really good. Rogic good but faded. Sinclair a few heavy touches but always dangerous and dragged them around. Dembele and Biton good when they came on. Tierney good going forward. Lustig and Toure solid enough but gave me the odd conniption when they decided to maraud forward. O’Connell decent but at fault for the goal. McGregor a good game but could also have snuffed out the first goal. Gordon could maybe have saved the first, maybe not.
The return leg still looks nervy and exciting though as the current defence does look likely to ship goals whilst we look like scoring. I don’t know yet if Brendan Rogers has the tactics or the uninjured manpower to get a clean sheet away.

Poor tactics in leaving an inexperienced back-line of Macgregor, O’Conell and Tierney at the corner which lead to their goal. Similar goals were lost last season – but that was the manager’s fault. A similar narrative is not permitted this season: just ask Chris Sutton.

Sutton is entitled to his opinion, I genuinely believe he wants the best for Celtic
He was right to say at 3-2 that the team on tha park have been here before and didn’t see it out
The difference tonight was the confidence Brendan instilled in the team with positive attacking substitutions which was the opposite from the RD tactics in a similar situation
————
You can’t have it both ways either Brendan has transformed the team or he hasn’t, picking and choosing what parts are Ronny’s fault is pretty poor
________________________________
My point is that RD would not have gone 442 at 3-2
He would have tried to see out the game in defensive mode whereas Brendan made positive attack minded substitutions which sent the right message to the team on the park that we are going to score again
Don’t know what your getting at with can’t have it both ways, every commentator this season makes the same observation that RD was too predictable and unwilling to change formation whereas Brendan changes in play 2 or 3 times in a game depending on how the game is progressing
