    Was it just me or did partizan belgrade cross anybody elses mind tonight. What a rollercoaster but you know what…in actual fact apart from a ten minute spell they offered zilch.

    I don’t disagree – I just wish the points could be articulated without further humiliation or critique of Ronny D.

     

     

    Sutton is undoubtedly pro Celtic, but if I were to start banging on about Anton Rogan, people would scratch their heads – Comments about Ronny are heading the same way. He’s irrelevant. Chris needs to move on and anchor his points on different logic.

     

     

    Other than, possibly to counterpoint how good Celtic are now.

    Chris Sutton said all last season that RD was not a good enough manager for Celtic, he is paid to call it the way he sees it

     

     

    Many in here were of the same opinion but not as “in your face” desperately wanting RD to succeed

     

     

    Others in here had it right from the off saying that RD should never have been near the managers job at Celtic if we had ambition

     

     

    I was on the fence- wanted him to succeed but looking now at the difference in the team with Brendan it’s difficult not to compare the remarkable change both with the same basic squad of players and the type of signings we are adding

    Geordie, I agree totally. If nobody on our team made an error we would be in contention for winning the Champion’s Cup. We have a good squad who are well motivated and there is no one hiding. They are playing for us supporters and for the jersey. Mistakes are made, hopefully they will learn from them and as you say we move on.

     

    I’m off to my leaba, a Happy if nervously exhausted Tim.

    Can anybody explain the changes in our movement and options -has BR introduced rotating positions or is it that we’ve now got two effective wings or that SB doesn’t have to cover the defence as much?

    Sipsini – Gordon’s use of the ball was better tonight. I think that would be a big thing for BR. I think we’re seeing a response already to the new keepers arrival.

     

     

    I’m not his biggest fan but I he deserves time to show what he can do in terms of improvement

    Unbelievable game.

     

     

    5-2 feels like 3-1!

     

     

    They look good going forward. Don’t know what was going on with our right side in the second half but we need a plan for the second leg to fix it. Toure was going mental at our midfield for not closing play quick enough.

     

     

    Craig Gordon had a cracking save but looked suspect at his near post and didn’t get as close as he should at their second.

     

     

    We will score over there but for gods sake I pray we fix the right side issue as well as packing the defence a bit more when they get in front of our box.

     

     

    Shane Duffy has now scored 3 goals… Oh wait that is own goals and a red card tonight as well! Nightmare.

    Makes me think, from my low down corner Celtic end seat I have no perspective of the first half incidents.

     

     

    I thought rogic had tapped in beyond the keeper. That Griff was fouled in the box.

     

     

    Second half close in, I thought bitton scored the header.

    Haven’t seen replays of their goals to judge Oconnels role in them if at all but the young lad looks good. His long range passing was Stibbs like.

    I like him think he does a decent job pro celtic wants the best for the club, don’t mind if he sometimes says something which I don’t like – all about opinions and he knows more about it than me

     

     

    He also said the dynamics of the team had changed with addition of players and extra effert from players that looked to be on their way out of the club

     

     

    I suppose it depends on what you want to hear

    Leigh Griffiths just made himself a £15m plus player. Outstanding.

     

     

    His heading ability is incredible for one so diminutive. His free kick was Big Pierre like.

    delighted with the result, will be well hoarse tomorrow over these nights at Celtic Park. Think our vulnerability comes from midfield would like a real central defence midfielder to play in a Lennon role freeing up Brown to move more forward. I think we ae to light weight when Macgregor plays in central midfield for European games.

     

    Still buzzing think we will go through as we will score over there, love the fact we have so much pace in the team now something we desperately need great to see LG score 2 & to see Scott Brown sore.

    Decent result , but a lot of work to be done. They are a decent side, hard to comment. From TVs coverage but I thought Scott Brown was our best man.

     

    Bring it on, next Tuesday is a long way ahead but we are still in there.

    Big dembele scored. Fact. He needs it more than Nir.

     

     

    On that goal three Celtic players against their keeper.

     

     

    We scored 5 against them.

     

     

    I’d be fairly confident of at least 1 goal out there. They were awful at the back. We are going through. The score could be anything next week. I’d give dembele a start as an outball. I think he really disrupted them when he came on.

    What a night

     

     

    Wonderful performance- then the roof falls in- but this time we get the breaks- two handball claims overlooked by the ref that could have cost us- and then 2 wonderful late goals as they were smelling blood.

     

     

    Tremendous atmosphere and we definitely deserved the win but, with fortune falling differently, we could have been involved in a 6:4 game there. I think we have done just about enough to qualify but an early goal in the Turner Stadium would get rid of any nerves.

     

     

    P.S. MWD- I think you were a bit premature with the half time assessment but I can fully understand the enthusiasm. I am just asking that we give Brendan a bit more time to do the job we want him to do. This is not yet a totally different team but it is getting there.

     

     

    P.P.S. Chris Sutton is a fast track bully who will ride any popular scapegoat player BUT he is also quite interesting when he talks about the fitba rather than the personalities. I can’t help liking him despite his mince.

    Brendo’s words on Leigh Griffiths reminded me of MON’s debut at Tannadice.

     

    After the game the player’s were bouncin in the dressing room- when MON came in he went straight to Henke and said ” I knew you were good but I never knew you were that ******* good ”

     

    Great result.

     

    Great header by Leigh.

     

    Headering the ball cannot be coached, it comes from within, with a will to be stronger and higher than your opponent.

    Broonie had his best game in a Celtic jersey tonight.Mad game with throwbacks of last 2 seasons.I think Brendan learned a lot from players when we lost the 2 goals, he made his name on being a counter attacking coach,give us 1 goal next week, hope its the 1st one
