Ange Postecoglou when asked by BBC radio whether he has a preference for clinching the title, Rangers dropping points or without home fans: “Only you could make winning a championship feel like a downer. No, mate, any way it comes, thank you.”

  4. Celtic restored and unfolded “like a pack of cards” to wrap up the league title last week and this, fittingly in Parkhead with the manager of Oz.

With Sky’s scripted Andy Wanker, and BBC holding out for the inevitable Rainjurz 23-0 win the clamour for a Tommy Burns Wednesday ticket at Tannadice gathers pace for midweek and another fly the flag day in Paradise inside seven days. Resting Rogic and Hatate with more games mind, it took another old fashioned offside non VAR Hertz goal to waken Celtic from cloudy East end non cup football slumbers.

Turnbull lacked Hatate’s dynamism but O’Riley amply filled Tom’s magic boots for the afternoon, and the swivel hipped Danish international hopeful, punctuated his superb January signing with another fine goal. Daizen Maeda never stops and and on another day, we’d have scored six or seven. The sun came out for the obligatory full ground huddle before the ground even began to empty and prepare for next weeks natural order day, that makes sure George Square and the sons of Glasgow can rest easy for the summer.

Well no last minute corner theatrics from Gordon to taint a league winning (99.99999 degree of probability) result.

Wonderful turn round from last year – than you Ange and the Bhoys.

We are Campions AGAIN – 19 from 11

    16 times this century

Lurkin Huns – still your calculators …….

  7. Just in from the game.

    What a second half performance.

Hearts couldn’t have complained , if it had been 7 or 8.

    Well played bhoys

  8. Well that wraps it up … Hearts came with an attitude and tried their best , hope they do the same at hampdump , (will they be allowed to ? ) .

Another quick free kick stopped from being taken and ref robertshun gives the hearts player a wee talking to , walker ” some refs book them some give a warning ” wonder what the rules say ?

Any way sod them all … We won the league again …fly the flag

    Mon the Hoops

  9. Sensational second half performance from Celtic today as well as a number of outstanding individual performances from our players. Matt O’Riley, Greg Taylor, Jota and Callum McGregor. We were superb. We’re Champions! Congratulations to Ange, the players and back room staff. I’m not looking forward to the end of the season being unable to watch The Bhoys for a couple of months but I can’t wait for the start of next season and getting back to Paradise to watch our beloved Bhoys!

Incidentally, while we all moan about SKY, the BBC and the chip wrappers lack of grace towards Celtic, it is precisely that lack of grace that shows them up for what they are and makes our wins so much sweeter for us and a punch to their solur plexus.

    Hail! Hail!

Cheers mate! She has “cabin fever”! Bored out of her skin but still testing positive.

    Hopefully not for much longer!

    I’ll keep you posted J!

  11. If, when a free kick is taken, an opponent is closer to the ball than the required distance, the kick is retaken unless the advantage can be applied; but if a player takes a free kick quickly and an opponent who is less than 9.15 m (10 yds) from the ball intercepts it, the referee allows play to continue. However, an opponent who deliberately prevents a free kick being taken quickly must be cautioned for delaying the restart of play.

I think you need to get a bigger telly.

I commented to my son at the game, that it was good to see that very few left before full time today.

    The wee yins got covid.

Cold symptoms and tiredness, so could be worse.

Thanks for the goal links. That ball was well over the line. I hope that prick Wanker apologises.

    As if!

    Hope you are good mate!

  14. A wee negative on a fine day.

Why did we have blaring music whilst the players and the support were enjoying mutual celebration?

  15. Superb season Celtic, champions, I would wager not a single poster on here would have envisaged this at the start of the season.

Didn’t bother with the blog during the game, just read back, Dearie Me, some shocking posts, disturbing really.

Watched the game with an Arabic speaking commentator, he was delighted with us, their goal was off BTW and Jota’s was on, we blew them away, well deserved champions and we will only get better.

  16. Champions and showed all our class today

    Nothing more to be said

    Let’s enjoy the week ahead

Are there any plans for a Gallowgate trophy parade next Saturday?

    Early start

Also worth remembering direct entry in to CL group stages means the players should get a decent break to recharge and refresh. Another bonus.

  18. I prefer to comment on my desktop so I will just say quickly that I felt Cameron Carter-Vickers was superb.

Philbhoy…best wishes for a speedy recovery to her…aye, isolation will do that to you…then when she’s better she will voluntarily avoid you n C lol

An apolgetic Wanker…it’ll never happen ;-))

  20. Sluggish first twenty minutes but then really kicked on against a decent Hearts team. To be fair, it could’ve been six or seven today.

Fitting way to clinch (shut up anyone who uses the word “mathematically”) the title.

  21. Weebobbycollins on

Can anyone tell me why footballers tear their socks at the calf? I see Jonny Hayes and David Bates do it regularly and I have seen it before in the epl…

I am such a happy clapper. If we were in old firm’s position I’d be saying “If we just win the last three games 8:0…” Quite naturally I didn’t doubt, from the second he was signed, that Ange would bring the League back for us. Fantastic!

*aye me tae and even with Eddie Howe in charge, he has proven himself with the toon so far.

Cannae blame him for rejecting us after that bunch of savages were escorted twice tae George Square tae pish and defecate on each other

Last season was a farce, we wurnae going tae be allowed tae win it and as far as Europe and that mob are concerned

This will be their 5th final and they have shamed the country twice, in Spain and Manchester

After Barca the smsm jumped all over them, didnae happen after wrecking Manchester and I doubt it will after Seville.

Unless it’s counting the bodies as the pile up as the 3rd reach seek revenge for the Dambusters

I thought Levein (?) and English were really effusive in their praise of us today. Long may they continue to give us the credit when it is due.

Hi PCS,this kudos attached to reporters A la Andy walker, anyone on radio ebt(scotland) or radio snide(clyde) or written by rugby reporting uncle Tom’s,

    It is not there.

    2012 showed that.

I would take an honest summary, from any fan attending.senior posters like you anytime over msm.

Your a good Celtic man, going 50/60 years, you imo have more experience of watching football, talking football under your fingernails than any paid hack/story diverter who is a member of our “run it by minty” meeja here in Scotland.

Hope you have a nice dram tonight and savour it.

I was listening to them in the car, whilst waiting to exit the car park. I agree , they were very complimentary.

    As for big Packy, embarrassing.
