    I see Ange was quoted the other day saying that we didn’t intend to bring in prospects or squad fillers, only players who would enhance the team.

     

    Get rid and take the loss if we have to to get some serious wage earners off the books and replace with Ange type quality, that will be music to my ears, eyes, nose and mouth >:)

    Do you know what sometimes we just don’t realise how lucky we are ….

     

     

    Ange is such a positive influence on our club, even the media can’t have their usual digs …

     

     

    The last couple of decades have been nothing short of amazement … am not going over old ground because none of our supporters being in the ground was more of a factor than the board, Neil or the wantaways … the one constant is the fans … pre Covid team was flying, we now live in this moment what’s done is done

     

     

    Ange in my opinion is perfect for our club and I hope he stays for many years …

     

     

    Still buzzin … as the Maestro would say “there is a buzz about the place” we are living in exceptional Celtic times, on Wednesday night my mind will drift to 2008 when Tommy Burns and ma wee maw passed away within weeks of each other … Tannadice that Thursday night brings happy & sad memories … this Wednesday it will be smiles all round

    A few days after that game I left Ireland for Spain, the biggest bonus was a massive win at Paddy Power, should have been a grand more, it was five but I hedged my bet and put the grand on the huns winning the league, just in case, fool that I was, but it was a great week all things considered.

    I was working today and when the Hearts opener came through my first thought was “thank eff we didn’t lose last Sunday” any dropped points today would have gave the Europa finalists a total lift for a possible treble

     

     

    Thankfully our team just dine what they have done for the last 30 games domestically … not lose :-)

    A wonderful display, a wonderful way to win a League.

     

    Dave King can shove his pack of cards up his arse.

     

     

    The Huns are not bad & they had a 7 or 8 point early lead, it was all doom & gloom, but Hail Hail to the Bhoys who never showed the white flag.

     

    Led by CalMac we kept it going for over 30 games & won one of our sweetest Titles ever,

     

     

    Yes there is still a lot to be done in the team building and yes we will need to be better in European games but all that can wait, let the Party begin,

    I’ve noticed in the past 2 or 3 Liverpool games

     

    Vvd is overweight

     

    Vvd is not as quick

     

    Vvd is prone to some howlers

     

    Vvd is more prone to bookings because he’s being caught out of position

     

     

    He has to lose some weight

    Hearts at least tried to play the game today, and got off to a good start. Once we began to find our feet though we played some terrific football at times. Haven’t read back through all the comments during the game so I’ll take Burnley78 (best wishes by the way) on his word and spare myself the grief. At 2-1 Hearts had a good spell but I knew that if they did not turn it into a goal we would soon shown them once again how it is done, and some. Good performances all round, and one from Craig Gordon to keep Hearts in it for a good part of the match.

    The Mrs has another couple of books on the go, a bit to adult for your wean right enough, but delighted she liked it, aye memories are precious and winning a few bob is even better, that was my last big win BTW, had a few others but nothing like 5K, but always trying and hoping, I bet 3sy will be sick when his bet comes up and he really hasn’t put it on >:)

    What an achievement to win the league.

     

    Well done Ange, I doubted you.

     

    Also some fans are trying to downplay how good “the rangers” are, but they have got to a final by beating some good teams.

     

    Their style, and to a lesser extent hearts, causes us problems. Big hard men with a bit of skill in Kent and aribo and very good delivery from the wings and set pieces by their full backs,. We have found them difficult in the last 2 games, but something we should take note of is how effective this has been in Europe.

     

    Let’s see what Ange does to move us on and handle this

    My best ever (Celtic related) bet was back in the Wim season, coming up to the New Year game I lobbed a £10 on Burley and 2-0 at 110/1 … Burley scored in 77mins and Lambert 86mins … and that bam Negri dived for a penalty in injury time .. am still shocked it wasn’t given … put the bet on in Willie Hills in Sauchihall street so got the train into town the next day to get the winnings … big Hun manager in the shop gave me my winnings and even though I had hardly spoke to him he said “I was wondering who put this on, I might have known it was you” … I said “here’s a tenner mate get yourself a drink” … young nephew was with me at the time only about 15… he said “uncle I was counting the notes in case he tried to rob you”

     

     

    Happy days … in the lead up to that game Craig Burley was terrific for us and always good for a wee goal, just a pity shots on target wasn’t a thing back then as that bam Goram must have saved about 5 Brattback shots as I had a tenner on Harald hattrick as well :-)
