  1. Just waiting for the usuals to suggest we bring in Jackie, I suppose he’ll be free by the end of the weekend, clowns

  2. 3 things to be happy about from todays game

    1. Tom Rogic had a good performance

    2. James Forrest had an excellent performance

    3. The Defence kept a clean sheet & hardly gave the opposition a sniff

Other than that……….Well, that is that!

Why do we make it look so difficult to put the ball in the net?

Maybe it has something to do with the immense pressure our Manager outs on the players when he makes statements like “I don’t care about what Aberdeen do, we will still win this League” or after 2 months of poor form followed by an tremendous run of 2 games he says “We are moving in the right direction, everything is looking on the up”

  3. Captain Beefheart

    Penalty for hand ball

Numerous fouls on James not awarded

Constant pushing and holding at set pieces not punished

  4. Not seen any footage of game and relying on CQN updates. Thanks to all.

We managed to escape defeat after umpteen chances to win.

If the chances were there then there is no one to blame but ourselves: not Hearts defenders nor referee.

Only a last gasp foul by Efe saves us from yet another late goal concession.

Boyata misplaces pass in dangerous area.

The updaters may soon be able to do their scribing before kick off.

Referee shouldn’t have mattered, luck shouldn’t have mattered.

We could have had 4 or 5 but at the end of the day were not competent enough to get one against a Hearts defence that was shredded by Aberdeen last week.

Maybe Carlton Cole would not be such a laughable idea after all.

We will leave the sheep trailing in our wake eventually but we need to find a way to turn our possession and

    dominance into goals.

  6. No the best day at teh office, should have had the game wrapped up by half time.

Referee cheated us as ever, the fouls on JF were shocking, and a stone wall pen.

Thankfully aff oot so I won’t have to see the trolls and huns that will decend on the blog.

  7. Just exactly what has Anto Stokes done that means he can’t get a game ahead of Ciftci? Outside of Kris Anto is probably one of the best ball players in the squad plus he has a fair goal scoring record in the Hoops. Ciftci has yet to show why he was, allegedly, Ronnie’s main transfer target.

  8. Iki,

The foul on Bhoyata in the first half should have been a yellow too, booted on the calf, no attempt to play the ball, might have been feeling it by then.

As for Efe saving us, naw he didny he prevented them for having a shot, having a shot is no the same as scoring.

  9. GreeninbingleyinOslo on

On another day we’d have gone in 2-0 or 3-0 up at half time, got the pen for handball, they would’ve been down to 10.

And people on here are screaming Deila must go.

I’m a bit p*ssed off that we haven’t got Lewandowski up front as well, but get a grip, eh?

  10. On any other day it would have been 5. Decent performance. Efe saved a point with his foul. We are a point closer to the to winning the league tonight than we were this morning.

Bitter malcontents will see it different.

Rony haters can go put on your magic hats.

  11. NZB - Beelin' and greetin' Troll Heids on

Canamalar – that is a fair point, well made. He was getting clocked every couple of minutes pretty much for a period there. But don’t you know….We get all the decisions?!

  12. CANAMALAR on 26TH SEPTEMBER 2015 5:11 PM

“having a shot is no the same as scoring.”

    ========

And we certainly are proof positive of that !

  13. 2 Celtic players sent off in 90th minute. One also scored the goal which pulls us a point closer.

Well done young Ryan Christie !

  14. I’ve been annoyed at poor showings this season, today was not a poor showing, Celtic played excellent stuff and should have won easily, today I put it down to tough luck and a cheating ref, that’s it.

The strikers got chances, midfielders got chances, so we made plenty of chances, keep making the chances and the results will come.

  15. Tricoloured Ribbon on

Missed a lot of chances in the first half and were far too predictable in the second.

Janko on for the last half hour could have drawn their left sided defenders out and gave us more room.We were continuously pumping useless crosses into their box which a junior team could have easily defended. In fact,Janko should have started the game I reckon.

  16. Silver City 1888 on

Don’t say this out loud but, having pulled a point back on Aberdeen today, I think we might just win the League this year.

As for the dodgeyness of the referee, Checking our game stats on the BBC, it’s amazing how often we have almost twice the possession of the opposition but a near equal foul count and somehow more bookings. You’d think the team with greater possession would take proportionally more fouls. I’m off to check stats on today’s other games.

  17. Greenwells Glory on

    Hi Ghuys, Salve salve;-

A really good game, usual poor reffing though, no doubt poor finishing cost us.

I thought Commons did not do anything today and this caused the right side to be ineffective. I would have withdrawn Commons at half time and put on Janko, this I believe would have stretched Hearts even more.

    What do I know?

Still at the end of the day we are 1 point closer to the Dandy Dons. One last point, the Jambos did not try to kick us off the park. Oh and a big well done to Effe let’s hope he gets credit in the bank for that red.

  18. Obviously disappointed, you should be winning your home games. Missed 3 or 4 gilt edged chances in first half, if 2 of them go in we might have won by 6.

All I can say it could have been worse, if Efe didn’t take out his man at the end this place would be in meltdown now. If the Dons had won we would be looking at a 7 point deficit now and again place would e in meltdown. The reality of the day is we closed the gap at the top from 5 to 4,

I don’t mind anybody having a go after dropping 2 points at home but it’s guys who couldn’t be arsed coming on after the Dundee game who are now on with all guns blazing that I have neither time or respect for.

  19. A couple of red heads in the Seminary choir in Philly.

I wonder where their heritage can be traced to. :-)

  20. I heard he was dead on

    I’m not a Deila fan.

    I’ve made that clear.

There is little he can do about poor finishing in one match like that but if he cannot see that going wide and crossing the ball to no one isn’t working for 25 minutes and he doesn’t change it what are you supposed to think?

The players should be looking for better movement ON THE DECK, moving the opposition around and creating space.

Too many square balls and pointless crosses.

    Not enough guile.

That’s down to the coaching and training for me and the inability to change things.

There’s an argument about the personnel not being there to vary the play but it’s still not good enough today.

Huge match Thursday – there what will be will be.

Next Sunday at Hamilton is a must win. We could be 7 points down by that time although they are playing shock troops St Johnstone who won against the greatest team and manager in history so that might be a trickier game than people think.

  21. Listened to the game on Celtic TV, sounded in control for the entire match but for weak finishing and a weak ref we could easily have picked up three points, still it’s a point gained. I will watch it later on tonight to see with my own eyes how we performed.

    Hail Hail.

  22. One point gained on the league leaders, two defeats in a row for the league leaders, wonder if the league leaders manager has lost the dressing room.?

Celtic should have been 5 up before half time, this was like the Dundee game where we took most chances, on this occasion we wasted every single one. James Forrest was excellent today, no protection from officials. Some great crosses in the box today, Carlton Cole would have enjoyed playing today. Upwards and onwards. At least Peter Lawwell won’t get any blame today…we’ll see.

  23. Blamers and complainers.

Apple think they know better than me what I want to say.

I bet they think they are as learned as my wife

Some nice and sweet eejit has hijacked your log-in.

Get it sorted, bud. You’ve got a rep,and he’s ruining it wi pleasantry. Which obviously won’t do.

Me,times like this,I’ll give the blog a miss. No offence intended to anyone.
