Yeah, I’ve just written a load of crap.

But it’ll all appear in print, sports commentary and radio phone-ins this week.

There may even be old referees thrown a few quid to muddy the sewage waters further.

My response to the same lasted 30 seconds-I’d posted at the same time, and he couldn’t miss it!!

    So,the refs. What’s your thoughts,preferably without the oblique references…

So Celtic make a few changes a we aren’t good enough to take on a Hibs team managed by Neil Lennon. Well that must put Brendan Rodgers starting line up yesterday on par with the likes of St Johnstone Motherwell and Dundee who only managed draws against the now mighty Hibs. According to this blog on Friday night the Hamilton team sent out to face the Huns is the worst some have seen playing in the league etc etc. Was this the same Hamilton team that slaughtered the same Neil Lennons mighty Hibs side at Easter Road less than six weeks ago.

Let’s look at yesterdays starting line ups,who in the mighty Hibs team would be a straight and better replacement for anyone in Brendan Rodgers starting 11

If anyone else had been in charge of that Hibs side yesterday i doubt very much that so many on here would be so commending in their praise of a team that struggled to get out of the 2nd teir of scottish football for the last 3 years

I am not going to look back but i wonder if St Johnstone deserved their draw at Celtic Park a few weeks ago or was it all down to cheating refereees and industrial play. I think that St Johnstone may be above the mighty Hibs in the league.

    Hope all is well

Just watched a disgraceful decision to chalk off a SW goal against Leeds for offside.

Sheer incompetence. But I get the feeling that no matter the referee; if it was against Celtic we would all be shouting cheat.

IMO, in 2017 that is the lazy option for all things that go against us.

We should be above that, although I think historically we have a grievance.

Never seen the battle just a sympathetic trail that betrayed an appeasement agenda that allows ones as bad as the other, it’s Scottish diplomacy, used to be we could argue anything within the rules. Now there appears to be an agenda to blur the difference, it’s ok for Celtic to be portrayed as an imperial force to be reckoned with, ready to accept our role as invaders and antagonists with full cognisance of our victim mentality that brought it on ourselves and we’re as treacherous as the compromise justified by their own personal values

  15. So the song for Callum is to the tune of the hymn Abba, Abba father.

Thanks for whoever it was that put me out of my misery. I was thinking it was the Vangelis tune Chariots of Fire.

And even now I’ve only just realised how alike those two songs are. Did someone break copyright?

  19. Take your pick.

Being a referee colleague, I can assure you that no one will be more gutted than him that he missed the infringem by Ambrose.

Being a referee colleague, I can assure you that Willie was in the best position to judge if the pull was sufiicient to impede Sinclair.

Being a referee colleague, I can assure you that Willie has only a split second to decide.

Being a referee colleague, I can assure you that Willie is a highly regarded official and he is more experienced than you lot.

  20. Disgraceful scenes on social media of state sponsored brutality against peaceful protestors and voters in Catalunya. Think the Spanish government have made a huge mistake, it seems as ever, the people pay for politicians poor leadership.

  21. Good to see Callum McGregor brought into the Scotland Squad.

Maybe McGinn and CalMac to replace Broonie and Armstrong?

Hope Gordon doesn’t go back to the old guard.

    Hail Hail

  22. Just watched the game on Celtic TV. We were okay in the first half not so good in the second. A draw was a fair result. Not one of the Hibs team would get into our lineup and that includes our bench. Hibs played well as a team and could challenge Aberdeen for second spot. As for Collum, we are not the only support who think he is useless at refereeing a football match. I said it yesterday, if I had been offered two wins and a draw last Saturday morning for our next three games. I would have grabbed it with both hands, especially the where the two wins occurred. Onwards and upwards to seven in a row.

  23. GlassTwoThirdsFull on

Delighted to see Callum called up for Scotland, although it’s a bit strange that it didn’t happen straight after Scott and Stuart had to withdraw and also after the Strong Rangers Association said there would be no replacements.

That’s twice now this season he has kept our unbeaten run intact.

    Top player.

  24. Thouroughly enjoyed yesterday’s game. Hi sunshine provided a very tough challenge which is just what we needed. I thought we dominated the first half while they dominated the second. Four great goals scored made it a great afternoon’s entertainment and our unbeaten record remains intact.

I feel that Craig Gordon is getting back to the great goalkeeper he was during his first season with us. Some of his saves recently have been absolutely amazing. Keep up the good work Craig. Delighted to see Calum score two great goals and to hear his new song. (Abba, Abba Father, if I’m not mistaken). John McGinn is an excellent player and I’d love to see him as Broony’s understudy and eventual successor at Celtic.

What can you say about Willie Collum. An incompetent with a Narcissus Complex. I’ve got news for you Willie, it’s not really all about you. A good referee is hardly noticed in a football match. He booked James Forrest for simulation when James had been fouled. A short time later James was foiled again. Collum had a good look at it but waved play on. Surely he was then duty bound to book James again for simulation and then issue a red card? Inconsistency or dishonesty? How he failed to award Celtic a penalty and red card Efe is anyone’s guess after Efe held and then pulled back Scotty Sinclair in the dying minutes of the game. This was absolute incompetence and Willie Collum should be censured by his superiors for it. Perhaps a month of refereeing lower division games might improve his decision making in big games.
