I think next week will be interesting to see what RD does/ changes/ or doesn’t change…
Mancini is an excellent manager, and they are a very efficient team, especially for Italian football.
Even if this tie doesn’t go our way, what level of team will we have by next autumn after these Inter ties. “Progress” should be the key word here I suppose. After “Celtic” of course :)

What was pleasing about tonight was our attacking verve. None of this “let’s contain them, take the sting out of it”.
We attacked, we went for it. That – IMHO – is Celtic. It’s why we aren’t Sevco, Chelsea, or AN Other EPL team.

McManamen sees a huge club like Celtic celebrating a comeback against Inter and equates that with Liverpool.
Yes, Liverpool with hundreds of millions don’t want to draw with a poorer Italian team.
But we are Celtic, and that felt more like Celtic than it has for ages.
And it was wonderful.

Watched the game in a, dare I say it, ‘local’ pub tonight (still harbouring desires to return North of the border!)
Couldn’t hear anything of the commentary or comments, but from what I gather from reading back, they were none too complimentary. Away to hell with them all.
I watched the game tonight with an Inter fan who works with Mrs Cosenza (also watched the 2nd Salzburg game with a Salzburg fan who’s Mrs works with Mrs Cosenza) and he likes to talk during the game.
I imagine I missed most of the good stuff, but I told him “when we beat Barca, we didn’t play like this.”
I don’t remember a Celtic side so confident going forward against what I would still class as a top European side, despite whatever ills they may be facing currently.
I was immensely proud of everyone tonight, regardless of mistakes that were made. Let’s face it, some of our best performers this year were due a mistake, they’re only human. And for them to happen in a game where we came away still in the tie is fine by me.
I honestly believe our boys that we’re unaccustomed to this stage now have the beating of this team.
The bloke I watched with was forever talking about how poor Inter have been defensively. If we can shore up the back line next week, we’re golden.
My only gripe was that this otherwise lovely fella kept telling me “If we go out to your team… Oh my God!”
Well get praying, my son, because I’m keeping the faith!

I’m going to defend McManaman slightly because other times I’ve seen him he’s spoken well. Was he possibly trying to say that with a bit better defending we could easily have beaten Inter by 2 or 3?
If he genuinely thinks we should be beating them by that, then I’m afraid he needs to lay off the Chianti.,
He actually said”This Celtic team should be beating this Inter team, bye 2,3 or 4 goals !!!!!!!”A total clown.

The BT pundits comments tonight were unbelievable.
Criticising the players/fans for staying to applaud a late (and thoroughly deserved) equaliser which keeps the tie alive?
Spurs trooped off disappointed after a draw with Italian opposition they told us. Yes, but they led and then conceded an equaliser. So no wonder their fans were a bit subdued.
Chris Sutton is really very bitter about something….and I don’t think it’s really the state of our defence.
He should remember how the pundits sneered and wrote our team off after the home game against Blackburn.
That was a fantastic fightback tonight. A great game to watch.
Anyone catch the earlier highlights of Celtic 2 Real 0?
Johnny Doyle is flying past a defender who sticks his arm out and catches him on the throat. “Nothing much in that” says the co-commentator!

We shouldn’t be surprised that BT Sports will do the same to Celtic.
But we should be concerned that one of their former chairmen is on the Celtic Board, and one of the few comments from him recorded in that role, was to show his contempt for Celtic supporters.
It all lends a powerful argument to those that have been rightfully questioning the Celtic Board’s behaviour and lack of. They treat us with the same contempt that the MSM do. It’s starting to annoy me all the more, as a few young intelligent heads could take us out of the SPFL corruption and doldrums and create a new, glamorous, and ethical football competition. At the snap of a finger.
Folk need to stop thinking, “is that right?”, and start thinking, “let’s take our club back”.
And likewise to you, thanks again for a great time at the weekend. Yer cooking gets a massive thumbsup. ;)

The Fugitive was the night we played Rangers. Losing 0-1, they got a penalty, Johannsen hit the bar and headed into back into Gk arms , we ran upfield, Bobby Lennox scored and then we added 2 more. It also poured that night too.
*correct but it was Wispy who equalised, Bobby Murdoch put us ahead and the Buzz Bomb scored the insurance goal….all at the deid team end….after the 3rd a hun ran on the park, grabbed a corner flag and made for Lemon….big Provan body checked him ontae the track.
Prior to the game the polis announced that anyone waving a flag or banner would be arrested….the hun end was awash with them, wee horses hoof on a white pony…French flags with masonic symbols and of course the butcher’s apron…..nothing happened and then a tricolour appeared in the Celtic end and in they went and huckled the lhad waving it….that night the chant of “you can stick your orange banners up yer erse” was christened.
