Another magical night in Paradise.
We’ll never know what would have happened if…………………..
Celtic were superb playing against a side from a different stratosphere, and the home support were the extra man we needed.
Two down before we kicked a ball, we somehow clawed our way back in, and showed something that wasn’t there at the start of European campaigns. Players in the main played out of their skins, with very few that didn’t step up a grade.
Never have two signings had the start made by GMS and SA who both revelled in the big time atmosphere. Progressive management and a joy to watch are RD’s attacking side set to sweep the domestic board.

I’m only going to say this once, because I don’t want to focus on this.
But I’ve just scanned the goals again on the telly and I am staggered at the BT Sport comments from Sutton and MacManaman (a guy I’d respected)
For him to say that “this Celtic team should be beating Inter comfortably” is staggering, absolutely staggering. Especially when they all do down the SPL all the time.
Sutton was a hero as a player for us, one of the giants of MON’s rebirth of our club. To hear him now is so so disappointing.
Ray Winstone's Big Disembodied Heid on
For McManaman read McFannyman. A plastic scouser whose football abilities were in inverse ratio to his overblown opinion of himself.
This trumpet doesn’t have a clue about what supporting a football team means, nor about the special relationship between the Celtic team and its supporters.

It sounds like it is a good thing to be watching abroad on a channel which is not in English going by the ire Sutton and other’s comments are provoking.

When the Battered Bunnet posted earlier
that no one could predict what would happen tonight he was bang on.
British football commentary is on the whole poor, under researched and lazy, it smacks of the arrogance that the English have always had about their game, Chris Sutton was a great Celtic player, no argument as a pundit he strikes me as be a tad bitter to be objective, McMannaman just sounds like a hysterical Scouse Hairdresser…
did anyone think that at the beginning of the first half we kept loosing our footing, slipping all over the place on the wet surface?. I didn’t help our confidence.
Delighted with the draw as it represents progress from the earlier rounds v lesser opposition. Can forgive Craig a very uncharacteristic mistake, or maybe two depending on your view of the first goal, however, several managers have failed to recognise the liability that izzy is as a defender in Europe, and I sincerely hope Ronnie saw enough tonight to realise he isn’t good enough at this level.
Atmosphere electric. Thrills and spills. Superb stuff, but as I say, from a pessimistic viewpoint, we need to sort that left back slot out.
Return leg? We will hopefully be on the right end of a 3 2 result.
Well done bhoys.

Just back from game….1st European game in a while…picked a cracker..still buzzin’
I didn’t think the first two goals were erros amigo.
Watching it on delay by an hour, I kept rewinding at the significant moments.
The first goal, big Virgil did the right thing, he blocked the return pass back into the box, so that CG only had to cover the near post – it was the rebound and the very quick reaction from the Inter player that led to a very very good first goal.
The second one was again unlucky – Izzy’s clearance coming off of Virgil and landing at the feet of the Inter player, who again, showed their value, by making it count.
On the other hand, Ronny said in the post match interview that the defence should have done better, so I bow to his better knowledge and your own. Certainly the third was disappointing.
The first two goals just seemed to me to be purely bad luck. But what I took from that, was excellent management, as we held our ground, and got the equaliser quickly.

Biton was immense tonight. He was in total control in the middle and never panicked.
Armstrong was a hero too, worked hard and always played with his head up.
Brown was immense. Not always the tidiest, but he really is the drive and spirit of this team.
GMS is a true Celtic player. A winger in the classic mould. Won’t always work and come off, but love his attitude trying to take the man on. Hope he keeps this spirit.
These were the standouts, but many others put in great shifts and most importantly didn’t let the roof fall in at 0-2.
Can we go through? Why not?
In terms of the rest of the match… it struck me again that CP is a truly magnificent arena in which to watch a game. The noise is contained and the crowd are right on the players. Wonderful.
Great too to see (most of) the Lions. Age shall not weary them.
Well done too Nessun Dorma before KO. A beautiful song, from a beautiful country, which speaks to the heart of every single person in the world who hears it, every time…

Such entertainment. Anybody with an eye in their head only has to look at the spending disparity between the two teams to see what an unbelievable result/comeback that this was for such a young Celtic team.
As for those two oil tankers on BT Sport. Mc Manaman states that Celtics lap of honour demonstrated how far we have fallen ie celebrating a draw against “the worst Inter team in 40 years”.
Completely ignoring the fact that the celebration was as much about rescuing the tie with an equaliser so close to the finish. If brains were Semtex and their was an explosion in Mc Manamans head his hair wouldn’t be ruffled.
As for Sutton. Dear God. What is it about criticism of our team by our ex players? The ex Huns don’t do it (it must be written into their EBT agreements). What do we do as a club which incites such hatred from past players?
Scottish v English TV revenues: You could have a whole season of Celtic games or Man City v Newcastle and Everton v Leicester this weekend (for about the same money).

Just in around ten minutes – having tea and toast – still buzzing!
Bitter sweet tonight – 1% bitter, 99% sweet
We can take great heart from what we all witnessed this evening.
I said earlier today that the right sort of performance could do wonders for the squad as we look to put the treble to bed.
Tonight Ronny’s team came of age – this result so much better than a stodgy 0-0 draw.
The mistakes by Craig were unfortunate – amazing really as both the shot and the through-ball were wide of the goal.
However I am ‘splitting hairs’
We are still in the tie and quite frankly I am sure Ronny and the players will, based on tonight, fancy having a real go.
Yes we still have a way to go, but think how far we have come since last August/September.
I say to Ronny – go forward and build this team – make it into what you want – you’ve earned the right
Summing up – the belief is back and we are playing like Celtic. There is much to be optimistic about = HH
