  1. The mis-placed , mis-guided arrogance of the bt Sport panel…

Funny how Spurs with 100’s of millions of pounds spent, can only draw versus average Italian opposition.

Total tossers the 3 of them.

  2. Fabulous character and a stunning performance.

Right proud vof Ronny and the bhoys.

Great to see the ground full…

Sutton’s failure to evaluate the difference between the Celtic of today and the team he played for is confusing & not realising the players were giving the fans thanks for such awesome backing was equally so. However tonight is not a night for bashing Celtic greats. Yes his comments were more than harsh but the big man in my opinion is a total professional. Celebrating calamitous defending & a 3-3 first leg draw at home, is most probably an alien concept to him. He jumped to conclusions tonight & was wrong to do so, I think some on here may be guilty of the same.

  4. brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

And the emotional roller coaster that is Celtic fc grinds to ahalt after another fantastic 90min nerve shredder.

if i concentrated on the errors I would weep :))))

But I sit here confident we can progress,

The 3rd goal was crucial any win and we are through.

I said tonight would be a sign if we have progressed again apart from unexpected howlers for me it is a 100% YES.

Well done Bhoys a massive learning curve tonight and we live to fight another day

    Hail Hail & good night

To all my Celtic family .

    Ps

Looks like BTsport have crumbled to threats and intimidation from the sectarian racist mob tonight.

Stan Collymore stood down from his show tomorrow.

    Disgusting

  5. I think we saw tonight the birth of a team that will get better and better under Ronny D, I was impressed with GMS tonight I didn’t realise he was such a tough wee guy, kept coming back for more and picking up the ball.

Nir Bitton looked like the player we hoped he was, well played Big Chap.

Jason Denayer I thought filled his jersey tonight with a desire to win the game that impressed me greatly.

Stuart Armstrong what can I say I hadn’t seen much of him but tonight I thought he was great, a future Celtic great perhaps.

Stefan Johansen I like a lot, I thought he was a little upstaged tonight by the new Bhoys and I would love to see him work on his decision making when passing the ball, he chose the wrong options several times tonight and once or twice dropped us right in it.

Craig Gordon, I doubt he’ll ever make so many mistakes in the one game again! Chin up Big Man we’ve a second leg to win.

Somehow I just knew Guidetti would score when he came on, the game was set up for him to do just that, I would consider letting him lead the line next week.

Sure we still have a long way to go but tonight I was impressed that we are on the way to where we all want to be.

I think we still need a couple of players and I’m sure Ronny has his eyes open for them.

We need as a team though to conquer this first 15 minutes stage fright which is costing us so dearly…

From green roots grow big Celtic trees CSC

  6. Delighted that big Craig made that last minute save, he does not deserve to come away from this or any game thinking that he has let anybody down.

But for his performances prior to this we would not have had the privilege of watching such fantastic game of football

I would never say that our fans would accept a draw or defeat easily but I would always accept a display like tonight’s, full of passion, commitment and effort.

You could sense at the end of the game that this young team is starting to develop a special bond with the support. Young lads are starting to get what Celtic are all about, I think Ronny deserves a lot of credit for that happening

  7. An astonishing game of football. Despair after 10 minutes, ecstasy by the end. Best celtic performance in years.

    Wow.

    At Maggie Mays.

    Breathless

  8. Thanks for clearing the Mulgrew question up Jude. I thought he was in his jim jams questioning why can Effe make the Celtic bench.

Finger out Charlie we are going to need you soon.

    Hail Hail.

  9. Very unCraig Gordon performance tonight. Dare I say it.. I felt he played to the camera on 1st and 3rd goals. Both balls going out of play.. Good thing is howlers are behind him.no way he’ll have another similar display in return leg. He is now mega motivated to make good….!!!!!

  10. Well done tonight just never got the breaks, feared the worse at 2-0 , well done Broonie and the rest of the young guns, and drive safe all the way to Thurso Foubie with £12,000 in you hip hail hail

  11. Awe_Naw_No_Annoni_Oan_Anaw_Noo on

Have not read back just finished watching delayed transmission. Thought we were excellent tonight The manner of the performance and the result very heartening. Real signs of progress. I thought our new signings were great tonight. Outstanding in fact.

Nothing we dont know already. The problem is how to solve it. It is a combination of tactics and ability. It still needs addressing however.

    Well done the home support.

A magnificent night tonight. The celebrations emphasise the unity the fans felt with the efforts the players and coaching staff are putting in and their understanding of these issues. Searingly the BT pundits fail to understand these issues.

The defensives lapses cant be scapegoated on Efe, Mikael or Chaz this time. Big Jock would have converted Izzy to a goal scoring midfielder by now.

  12. Ellboy – I am Neil Lennon, YNWA.

Sorry mate how could he not know Celtic were thanking their fans, he jumped on the same bus as the other two who were saying they thought we were celebrating a draw..

  13. No jude, but I did see that remark on a Hun site, OK and just thought it was funny. I hope you noticed the little funny signs I attached on, to show I was just joking.

  14. Just back from game, wee glass of red to unwind. Brilliant game of football, both teams went put to win and a draw was a fair result.

I take it the failed Lincoln City manager has been bumping his gums again? Sad man!

Why don’t BT replay the games later like Sky do?

  15. ....PFayr supports WeeOscar on

    Starry

A fairly balanced post …I agree entirely with you

We were dreadful fir 15 mins …after the second goal we lost our way …could retain the ball and were running about like dafties…somewhat like some of our poor shows in Europe earlier

We quite quickly got into our stride and at the finish We were unlucky just to draw

We harassed ,bullied and outplayed Inter for periods of the game …..we would not have been capable of that a few months ago

If we cut out the daft mistakes we can beat them

  16. Evening fholks.

I’ve not read anything today here, but just finished watching the game on an hour’s delay.

    WOW WOW WOW !

The first two goals were very very unlucky imo, and no one could be faulted, despite what McManaman said.

I settled into that usual feeling of acceptance that it wasn’t going to be our night, but willed the team to stick to the agenda, and not give up.

    How they feckin responded !

With the support who were amazing.

Phone switched off, I’ve just seen our third goal, which I really didn’t expect to come, as luck seemed to be against us.

    Feckin feckin delighted.

Roberto Mancini is an outstanding manager, and the only reason he isn’t hailed as one of the best, is because he wasn’t given any time and/ or due respect when at Man C.

His team were outstanding, especially for Italian football – lightening quick, pacey, well organised, clever.

Ronny proved himself tonight in showing that we can compete with such a team, we were just unlucky.

Really looking forward to next week, to see what happens tactics wise, between two very very good football managers.

PS. Loved seeing the Lions, the Inter team from 67, and the support banner with the 1967 TV.

Also delighted Guidetti got that amazing goal.

    Brilliant brilliant brilliant. Delighted.

We have a real chance next week, but if not, and it doesn’t go our way, then fair enough. I’ve got full confidence in our new manager now.

That the establishment are still trying to put him down, even on BT Sports, is another warning shot. If we have a good manager, he’ll be attacked from all suspect angles by the British Establishment. The obvious way to attack Ronny was at his managerial abilities as they knew he was trying to create progress which needs time, and thus doesn’t have immediate effects.

Usual strange refereeing stuff, denied stonewall penalty, denying us the advantage from fouls in the last crucial quarter, and commentary wise, Steve McManaman, wtf? He really doesn’t like us.

Delighted with the 3-3. The first two goals were very bad luck for the back four and CG, and also down to the efficiency of Mancini’s team.

With a bit of luck next week, we could get through by putting out a serious contender for winning this cup.

    Great game, great football tonight.

  17. Armstrong, Bitton, Johansen, Henderson and the maturing Captain Broonie. Midfield looking very strong for CL challenge next season. Now if we could only sort out that defence, keeping Lustig fit would be a start.

  18. Ronny now has a great ding dong with Guidetti and Griffiths. Give them 45 mins each. Take turns at starting. They will spur each other to greater things.

  19. Jist back,Whit ah night they they fairly put you through the Ringer, would,nt have it any other way, God Bless the Celtic, never let you down, and the Fans fantastic, giving C. Gordon a chorus of Backing, after his mistake.

    Wher’s ma tablets, Awerabest PJ

  20. Second leg…

Play Guidetti and Griffiths up front with a midfield of Armstrong, Bitton, Johansen, Brown and Mackay-Steven, and with Izzie, Virgil, Denayer and Matthews at the back.

I reckon both front men will score, with Johansen and Virgil also getting on the scoresheet. Then bring on Gordon for Griffiths after around 70 minutes, so he can make the stunning saves to earn us the 4-4 draw we need to go through!

    starry plough

He should know I agree but I think the big man deserves the benefit of the doubt. Like everyone I find myself shaking my head at some of his comments but for me he will always be a Celtic legend.

    HH!

  22. Disappointed with Sutton, he’s became a fault finder rather than looking for good points in our team.

I get the impression he has no time for RD.

Yes, mistakes were made, as there was in other games, picking faults is the easy part…fixing them…go for it Ronny and prove them wrong.

    For by that…an entertaining game.

I thought GMS imposed himself on the game in the latter stages

He played very well in the last 20 mind

Re the other midfielders you mentioned …I agree ….I thought they were excellent

How Bitton was able to find such time in the midst of that maelstrom was incredible

  25. I’ve got to agree with this ..

Tonight just reminded my why i love this club so much.

celtic a club like no other.

  26. I have said from the word go that Biton was a class act.Happy with that.Broony was immense tonight.Have always said this also.Happy also with that.Dont have to mention what I have always thought of RD.To the people who were slaughtering him,all we were saying was give the man some time.Same as players coming back from long ,bad injuries.Everything takes time.Mathews covered 100 lengths at least of the pitch tonight. As for Izzy having a bad game !!!!!!A clearance that unluckily hit an Inter player on its way out.What?.Thats it?.An absolute joy to watch this team flowing forward tonight.
