Dallas had, in my opinion, a good enough game today. Got most of the decisions, apart from the Sevco passback correct. Ross County were “agricultural” in their tackles and each one was deserving of a yellow card. No honest mistakes here, even booked one of them for simulation when he could possibly have given a penalty.

    Thomthetim,

They were waiting for me – one of them spotted me and was doing the wave with the other hand pointing at me. He was waiting for his mates before starting…..I presume a wee kicking for me was the plan….so I latched onto the copper – nice English guy – and he says no worries, I’ll walk over the bridge with you and you’ll be OK from there.

The only other fans who appear to have gone public with the failings of the SFA are those of Aberdeen.

I read a suggestion on another blog, perhaps TSFM, of perhaps a joint banner protest at the upcoming Cup Final.

Would there be an appetite for this and would there be enough common ground for this to happen?

As I suggested earlier, Aberdeen will be one of the clubs to suffer under Honest Mistakes 2.

The Cty manager, Jim McIntyre came out after the game and slated Dallas Jnr for not reffing the game fairly, he had no prob with the bookings his team got but he questioned why he didn’t book the huns for the same thing.

The past few weeks-decades have shown how we are being reffed differently to the huns.

And he added on six extra mins today.

  6. Turkeybhoy,

I more or less agree with you but the referee in our game yesterday was dreadfully biased in favour of ICT for eighty minutes. For the final ten , he was just useless. Crawford Allan was the name. He could have featured in one of Billy Connelly`s tales of surnames as first names !

Celtic PLC is responsible to all its shareholders to ensure that it trades within a sporting framework that is properly administered allowing the club to trade on an even footing with all other companies or organisations within the same trade associations. It is clear from all the above that in this instance, when the Celtic PLC CEO properly sought explanations from office bearers of those trade associations he was given less than candid explanations and may well have been completely misled.

would love to agree but compare any two games that the sevco are involved in and us and you will ALWAYS see a heavy unbalance, Point in fact yesterday, 5 or 6 bad tackles and nothing, this has happen all season, We tackle back and its a first yellow of the game every time.

They are so bad now that even with the refs help they are still losing.

I wish you were right and its always just been in all our heads.

  9. Good result yesterday, like the way Brendan is brave enough to use squad for these matches and talented enuff to get a good win.

    Interesting stats from Dingwall…

    Ross County 45% 19 Fouls

    Sevco Rangers 55% 11 Fouls

    ——————————————-

    Ross County 38% 6 Fouls

    Celtic 62% 12 Fouls

    Odd… wouldn’t one say….

    Sure there’s a Honest explication;)

  11. Turkeybhoy , all fans watch games with our natural bias filter set to the max.

Often back home watching the recording and only after the result is in the bag do we watch with detachment and often see that the ref got a few more decisions right than we gave credit. At the game we fail to notice any 50/50 in our favour as we see them as 60/40’s

Last week I was at Pittodrie ( undercover in the Dick Donald Stand) When I got back to ‘safety’ I read the contemporaneous blog posts noting every transgression by the ref…allowing us to be ‘ kicked off the park’s etc. I didn’t disagree with much of the sentiment.

However in the midst of the Sheep Pen you will not be surprised to learn that Aberdeen fans were going nuts that they were ” playing against 12 men”. They were bemused at every decision in our favour no matter how blatant the Aberdeen foul. Everything confirmed their bias. It is the natural order of being a fan.

I also loved the end of the game having to smile at my fellow Tims who were taunting me (and Onlooker Jr) that they were “going to win the league”.

We joked that there should be a secret Tim signal that we could use to show that we were Tims working behind enemy lines.

    The Onlooker.

  12. Chairbhoy

…..and with 66% of the play yesterday, the ref still managed to penalise us 17 times for fouls compared with ICT`s 15.

anybody know where to find the injury time awarded in each match – not on spfl, soccer stats or bbc?

  17. Got off a train earlier, an announcement was made, “Mind the gap”.

I am tired and sick to the teeth of awe you whiny arsed tims bitching about the revived hum zombie cheating who in all considerations should have been obliterated from existence and consigned to the dustbin of history for all their previous cheating of biblical proportions. But naw your beloved PLC’s conspired via silence and an unwillingness to discuss past realities to simply facilitate further bigot buck income in conjunction with all the corrupt entities related to Scottish football.

The PLC are very well aware just as I am that your blind hatred trumps the right thing to do and be on the take.

  19. The ole SFA book of injury time

However as the season approached the closing stages there was all the evidence that any Celtic fan needed that certain match officials would do all they could to help Rangers win the 10. Chief suspect was referee Bobby Tait. Refereeing a game against Hearts at Tynecastle in February he not only disallowed two legitimate Celtic goals he also found an incredible five minutes of injury time in a match with no injuries or stoppages. It was no surprise when Hearts equalised in the final minute of injury time. Quite incredibly (or not for the paranoid amongst us) Tait was put in charge of the return game at Celtic Park at the end of March. On this occasion he added no injury time despite two injuries in the second half and the game ended 0-0.

With both teams still challenging for the league title a draw was of little use in both games to either side. In fact only one side could benefit from the draws and it wasn’t Celtic or Hearts.

And so it came down to the last two games with Celtic one point ahead but Rangers with the better goal difference and Hearts having fallen away as the pressure got unbearable.

On the second last week Rangers were at home to Kilmarnock. Surprise, surprise Bobby Tait was given the match to referee. Once again he tried his best and with the scores at 0-0 he added on his traditional five minutes of injury time. This time it backfired in spectacular style as Kilmarnock grabbed a late winner.

La Trinita Santa still capable of tearing good defences apart.

I am off to Goteborg tomorrow for a 4 day conference and that means a 6am KLM to Amsterdam to start the day. A couple of beers with the match and off to bed early looks like a plan.

  24. CMcGREGOR ?

Yesterday i posted about his vision and sublime skill in setting up Griffs shot against crossbar and Sinclair goal.

He also had the second assist on our other two goals.

The boy has some fantastic moments in a Celtic shirt.

The question is where does he fit in our normal system?

He is still erratic positionally and not great defensively.

His running off the ball into positive zones is good.

He definitely has a place in Brendan plans but do we need a personnel and system adjustment to really maximize his potential.

Anyone else looking forward to when Agent Barton has departed Sevco with a ton of their money and lifts the lid on that cesspit? Should make for excellent reading in the New Year, by which time the League will be over….if it isn’t already!!

  27. Is it possible that warburton is actually good? They are two or three places higher up the league than I thought they would be at this stage. It could be that he has a distinctly average squad of players playing well above their capabilities. Seriously.

And I think the refs, being up close and personal to them know that they are beyond their help.

But to go back to my first paragraph – naw, he is Turkish delight and his squad is too.

  28. RAY SINGH-CARR

There is no way they will pay Barton off without a confidentiality clause.

Even if he did spill the beans you won’t be able to read it in the mssm.

Just watched the RC game on Sportscene. Watched 3 Sevconians in the RC end celebrate the Sevco goal. They had disappeared from the stand shortly after. This may have been the fans that you posted about earlier and left due to your intervention.

    If so, nice one.

turkeybhoy – according to spfl matchday reports , the average final second of injury timein which action was reported was NEW RANGERS : 164, CELTIC 165. New Rangers had 2 matches in which there was no action was reported in injury time, celtic had one!
