I watched today’s game on the telly and I have to say it was a dreadful advert for Scottish football. The lack of ability to carry out even basic passing was remarkable. Sevco are a very poor team. Halliday is the player that they all want to talk up. The only one who seems to give them hope. Why? He is a Real Rangers Man, brought up next to Ibrox, in Copland Road. He has scored a couple of good goals for them but that’s about it. He is a very ordinary, limited player. I noticed on our recent 1-0 victory over them in the League acup semi that he came for some heavy tackles from some of our players – threat nullified. Today he came in for two heavy challenges from Ross County players. Same result. He’s a middle of the league type player. No more, no less. If he’s the best they’ve got, God help them.
I should also have pointed out that Chris Burke as Man of the Match is a joke. He was terrible! He looks like a geriatric. No pace. Continuously gave the ball away or got caught in possession.
Looks like the very place for Mr Warburton to go. :-)

Good Morning All.
Sparkling performance from Celtic especially in the second half on Saturday and Stuart Armstrong was simply outstanding!
However, the highlight of the weekend for me was the half time chat I had with the officials of The Greenock Celtic Supporters Club who voluntarily agreed to make a fantastic donation to the charity sleepout fund taking my sponsorship level beyond the £5,000 mark.
Thankyou gentlemen that is an outstanding gesture which you know takes me beyond a personal goal.
The sleepout is next Saturday and as I type I am being told that last night’s overnight temperature was -4 degrees so just think what it is like to have to sleep in a doorway or in an underpass in such temperatures.
If you have a spare fiver or if you are willing to pledge £3/goal scored on Saturday or any other amount then please donate here.
Oh and a good few years ago I described telling my wee boy to stand on the seat as Nakamura’s free kick against Man Utd was a certain goal. He didn’t believe me and was frightened that the people around him would be angry at him for standing on the seat and blocking their view. Of course, Naka scored, the place went wild and I told him that STRANGE THINGS HAPPEN AT CELTIC PARK!
Today, said wee bhoy turns 22!!
Happy Birthday Declan — Long may your freekicks hit the back of the net!!

Jobo is still thawing out from Saturday I think!
Anyway, In Dennistoun it’s a crisp but pleasant morning with a fairly cloudless sky. The light is breaking through near the home of the famous Glasgow Celtic; I suspect it’s still midnight darkness over Ibrox way!

I’m organising a Race Night as a Fund Raiser for St Mary’s in The Calton. We’ve had a few and they are good wee nights. If anyone is interested in going, it’s on Friday 18th November. Tickets £5 each and usually involves some free grub as well – pie’n’peas, some home baking etc.
I know this is unlikely as there is a game on that night so for those who cannot go but want to contribute, I will also hold Races 1 and 8 as the CQN Stakes & Handicap. You can buy (and name a horse) or buy in as the Jockey; £10 a go with £50 to both the winning owner and jockey.
A good few people have jumped on already but there are still some horses and jockeys available.
If you don’t gamble but want to contribute, races can be sponsored for £25.
Now visited Helix park and the Kelpies yesterday for first time ( I do live less then 10 miles from this), well worth a wee day oot walking the dogs :-) beats watching rubbish on the tele as well
