    Thomthetim,

They were waiting for me –

Ya madmhan….you should have given me a shout, would have came and got you.

With the boundary charge my Christmas would have been sorted :O) hh

SPOT ON …….. DEED, GONE, BURIED…… and we are perpetuating the myth, not challenging the lie …..disgusting…

    however – spfl matchday reports

the average final seconds of injury time in games in which new rangers are losing/drawing is 201

the average final seconds of injury time in games in which new rangers are winning is 113

looks like a bias to me – what the cause of it is anyone’s guess

  4. These are unbelievably good times to be a Celtic supporter. Unbelievably good.

Aye, things can improve, corruption can be challenged and the great myth exposed. But the fact remains that despite the cheating, despite the institutions of Scottish football being run in a way that promoted one club above all others and actively discriminated against the uppity Tims, we beat them. Permanently. And we are now out of sight from the rag tag outfit who seeks to emulate past ‘glories’.

We did it honestly. In the Celtic way. And we’re back playing beautiful inventive football.

Confidentiality Clause or not. I still don’t think he will be able to resist spilling at least some of the beans. I already have my own suspicions as to what the “lifelong Rangers diehard” Halliday might have said to provoke the initial response from the bold “Joey”.

Then again, maybe I am just paranoid? HeeHee

    fan-a-tic,

I agree with you re Mc.Gregor.

He is a talented boy and we have no one better in that position for taking and giving the pass as quickly.

After he passes, he moves and is ready to receive the ball again.

His one – twos with Roberts are crisp and effective.

He is a good man to have on the bench, should plan A get bogged down.

    A keeper for me.

Watched the Ross County – Sevco game today.

Could not believe how poor they were.

    And Sevco were even worse.

At the beginning of the season their slogan was “Going for 55”

    However having watched then today, and knowing their manager is 54 years of age, I’m beginning to assume their slogan was about him and was simply misspelt. It was obviously meant to read;

    “Going BEfore 55”.

  9. Warburton’s post-match comments are comedy gold.

Largely unintelligible, haunted expression on his coupon, the most absurd excuses…

Like a sketch from ‘Chewin’ the fat.’

    Long may it continue.

I was working with two English contractors today, big football fans. They were under the impression that the deadly bears were relegated due to financial irregularities etc.

When I informed them the truth they were truly gob smacked, asking where was our MSM, well where do you start ……

  12. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Gerry and Adi Dasler , from last night.

Sorry for not replying sooner, I was out last night and working today .

Foran was a greetin face get as a player at both Motherwell and Caley.

He was one of these players who moaned at the ref when he conceded a foul and when he got fouled.

In one game for Caley against us, he pulled Broonie back , the ref blew and he was right in the ref’s coupon saying he was the one fouled . A few minutes later , one of our players collided with Foran . Again , he was in the ref’s coupon demanding our player get booked.

Like his fellow ‘good honest pros’ Lasley, Jamie Hammill, , Frazer Wright , they dished it out but didnt like it back.

According to today’s etims diary, Foran mentioned to local media that we should have had two players booked, Griff and another. Wenger and Mourinho style tunnel vsion from him.

Kille tickets bought. I got there about ten to four and the ticket office was queued out the door.

It turned out the cup final tickets went on sale at 2pm on Friday so I managed to to get them also and this explained why it was so busy.

anybody know where to find the injury time awarded in each match – not on spfl, soccer stats or bbc?

Not seen the new direcrivè from FIFA that games are now 95 mins , increased from 90.Last week we ended up 96 and a half , the huns today were 95 …..but finished when Ross Cty put in a corner kick.

  14. 1-0 Sevilla, they look decent. Nzonzi looks a player. Some of Barca’s new signings don’t look Barca class. They are definitely weak in defence.

  15. BSR- The hun rat Tait from EK tells a story , on the over crowded ex referees after dinner circuit of Masonic and Orange Clubs, a game at Kilmarnock with Oldco.Myth shouts over to him after 96 minutes, to tell him to blow for FT as ‘we are never going to score here…..’

  16. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Bada Bing, if you watch any of the update programmes on BBC, BT or Sky on a Saturday afternoon, if sevco are at Ibrox and are drawing their games are usually the last premier league game to finish in Scotland.

A number of years ago a poster had mentioned the above . i watched soccer saturday for this over the next four weeks and the poster who highlighted it, was right.

‘Aye Ernie….do you reckon Celtic fans would be waiting outside for revenge?’

    ##

Possibly yes. Particularly if the’d traveled up by bus and had to wait for the game to finish before getting home. I might have been inclined to do it myself at one time.

It’s hardly an excuse or justification anyway for getting them flung out of the ground though, is it, given that he couldn’t have known how they were to react?

Just imagine if it had been Celtic fans kicked out and you then read on Follow Follow that it had been a hun who was responsible. There’s just no need for it.

  18. Looking at this makeshift Barca side we can rattle them. We play them 10 days before Real Madrid play them so they need to win that one or they will almost certainly be outsiders for La Liga.

Getting ahead of myself right enough.

  19. Ming- i agree , it is poor bang for buck too.Italian and Spanish games regularly have 7 or 8 mins, which covers subs, trainers on pitch, cheating etc…the amount of time added5 when the huns are chasing a goal is plain cheating HH

  20. Just recieved a text from a guy who texts about these things infrequently but when he does he’s never wrong.

Brendan to sign, in January, Midfield sensation and play maker Mind Zegap.

Aparantly team will be built round this guy for next 5 seasons.

    PS – ;-)

  22. KEVINLASVEGAS & Hot Smoked, from earlier…

In light of Turkeybhoy and Matt Stewart’S comments regarding the bias and the contetion we see what we want to see and what we are looking for. Thought I’d take a look at some stats, maybe play a bit of Devil’s Advocate.

So, I had a quick look at our UCL games…

The first one is an outlier but could suggest there maybe something to the claims we are obsessed &/or paranoid.

A’mean the conventional wisdom would state that the better team with the greater possession are going to foul less than the poorer team doing most of the defending or even on the back foot.

Well away to Barca… they fouled us 8 times we fouled them 3 times. Now that goes against the conventional wisdom. But Why? You could argue that we struggled to foul them because their passing and movement was so good; we couldn’t get near them. You could likewise argue when we were in possession they pressed us hard, so aggressively in fact, they committed Fouls.

It could reflect the foul “anomolies” in our Scottish games where we are the better team.

Ok… Let’s check out the other games… closer affairs of course…

    Celtic 8 – 8 Man City

    Celtic 9 – 7 BM

    BM 10 – 11 Celtic

Well those figures look more of what you would expect, the counts are relatively even. In the second BM game we were away and committed one more foul. At our home game BM were the better side and we committed two more Fouls than them.

So what does that tell us?

Maybe the Barca game does point to a trend in which the better side is more difficult to foul and are more aggressive when the opposition are in possession.

Yet to me we were very passive in that game and I wold view it as an outlier.

The other games are more indicative, I believe and the number of Fouls in the game seem to be ballpark.

Which begs the question why did we fouled Sevco Rangers so much in the semi final and why did Ross County foul us so little.

All in All I believe we are not paranoid enough.

    Hail Hail

Sorry , (possibly) meant to post ‘ Don’t bother answering’.

Tried to contact you a wee while ago but as you were in Italy I probably didn’t use the right number.

Just to let you know I’ll be taking my bhoy to the airport on Tuesday as he flies out for ten days to stay with his Italian girlfriends family next to Madrid.

Wee wido never told me until last night him and his girlfriend have booked a two day stay in a hotel in Venice.

Oh to be a pup again. HH my friend.
