I was told that if we’d sold Biton in the summer a big name was coming in.

Biton was second choice and the club got their first, subsequently he didn’t go so we didn’t get our target.

it’s easy, I look at Jobo’s weather report every morning and think,- – – thank goodness I’m not in EK!

  3. Prestonpans Bhoys: I had a similar experience with a Dutch guy in Spain last week. We were watching our CL match and he asked me was I glad that Rangers were ‘back’. It is only when you begin to explain to people what really happened that you realise how the SFA, the MSM and, as Mags McGill alluded to earlier – Celtic PLC’s possible complicity – helps keep this narrative of ‘Rangers return’ alive.

Big shout out to the John Lemon pub in Benalmadena on the Costa Del Sol. It is always nice to watch a Celtic match amongst your own and that is certainly true of this bar.

  4. I see the FBI have taken one for Team Clinton again, timing is everything, shows how scared they are of Trump getting in .

Having read back and seen your earlier exchange with TGCW regarding Lewes and their sectarian parade. You really are incredibly narrow minded about anti Catholicism. You have no interest in opening up to reality, you’re only interested in portraying Scotland as the only sectarian country on earth.

Many of us learn from the knowledge and intelligence of others on here. You should try it.

  6. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Bada, Brendan’s dealings with our media have been very good so far.

He is subtle in getting some of his points across and also won’t take any rubbish off them and they know it.

Like Martin, he is too smart for them

Good night all ad seep well.

  7. War of Attrition

Attrition warfare is a military strategy in which a belligerent attempts to win a war by wearing down the enemy to the point of collapse through continuous losses in personnel and materiel.

This is Celtic’s long term plan and always has been.

We have exposed their illegal practices and their friends in the public eye, The football association are now exposed as being involved in all the above.

We have cut off their route to Europe. We are Financially starving them out.

They now have to use the same legal routes as the rest of us to come about money and pay taxes.

This team today was them still spending over 2m a month of someone else’s money and couldn’t beat a team that tried against them unlike ICT and Killie who both played against them like a testimonial game.

So long term the war is over………………………………………

    Soldiers are we , whose lives are pledged to Ireland;

Some have come from a land beyond the wave.

Sworn to be free, No more our ancient sire land

Shall shelter the despot or the slave.

Tonight we man the GAP OF DANGER

In Erin’s cause, come woe or weal

‘Mid cannons’ roar and rifles peal,

    We’ll chant a soldier’s song.

In valley green, on towering crag,

    Our fathers fought before us,

And conquered ‘neath the same old flag

    That’s proudly floating o’er us.

We’re children of a fighting race,

That never yet has known disgrace,

And as we march, the foe to face,

    We’ll chant a soldier’s song.

I suggest you contact St Pancras and ask them why they are engaging with such anti Catholic bigots.

Be sure and let us know if you get a response.

  11. Outstanding start to second half from Barca brings a Suarez goal, either side would romp the EPL.

For us, we look about two years behind Sevilla at least.

  12. i'vehadtochangemyname on

I did a chi- squared test on the matches this season asking the question – is there a statisitically significant difference between the averages for injury time reports (on spfl website) for matches new rangers are winning against matches new rangers are losing/drawing

You guessed it – it is significant at a very high level of significance!

  13. HT: No, not since it was moved to the Friday night. I sent that in an email. Next match, hopefully is December 17th. I will look at away matches after Christmas. Dr. Marc’s return and pursuit of employment is complicating matters for me. One of the many reasons I didn’t renew this year but hopefully I can return the fold next year.

  14. Bonfires, nothing to do with old anti-Catholic bias, just squibs and that for the weans. Why rake up things from more than one hundred years ago???

Poppy wearing, nothing to do with modern day jingoistic display, just remembering the war dead of more than one hundred years ago…

    Ernie lynch,

The St Pancras lectures are in a Catholic church and not conducted by anyone associated with the bonfire societies and I assume aimed at many of the tourists who arrive for the event. Why do you think such lectures exist? Is it to counter the anti Catholicism associated with the event? How well attended are they? As well attended as the bonfire marches? doubt it. I cannot believe you think there views are flippant. Anyone who remembers the pre 80s will recall that racism, sexisms;sectarianism;homophobia and many more were passed off as flippancy and humorous and usually the victims were derided for taking it too seriously.

  16. Evenin to all my fellow Celtic Supporters..

Just my thoughts from the weekend.

Well Done Andy Murray.. A Great Athlete, Great Sportsman, A Nice Guy and he’s a Scot!!

Well Done my Team yesterday, We march on.. Despite the on field assaults, bad sportsmanship and a level of refereeing that was, quite frankly, Staggering, ( 2 minutes ET first half, 3 minutes ET second half) we prevailed.

Refereeing AGAIN being the centre piece of sevcos existence.. Latest example from the game v Ross County.. 4 County players booked in the last 15 minutes, 3 in a 6 minute spell, and 6 minutes added ET second half.!

And cant miss mentioning the Green Brigade.. 2 years consecutive ‘Biggest single Foodbank uplift in a single day’ and this year wont be any less generous. Has anyone stopped and spoke with the Ghuys?? We all see and hear them, but have you ever met with any of them?? A bunch of mostly young people who are devout Celtic Supporters and equally devout and passionate about supporting the Foundation and all the ethics of our Founding Fathers. Next time you get the chance, speak to Mark or Martin, intelligent, open and honest young men.

Its Great to be a Celtic Supporter.. God Bless every one of us.

  17. Watching this Barca front 3 brings to mind an old tale from Shankly’s boot room.

Friday team meeting before a home game against Man U and Shankly has the Man U Subbuteo team laid out on the pitch to talk through tactics with the Liverpool team. Both teams are set up on the board as if the game is due to start.

Shankly picks up the Man U goalie. ” Stepney, blind as a bat , absolutely useless” then throws the goalie figure in the bin. Shanks goes through another 7 Man U players in a similar fashion describing them as slow, scared, one footed, a loser, all of them had a weakness which Shanks picked on and threw the player in the bin.

There were 3 players left on the board at the end, Ian St John pipes up and says ” Boss , what about these 3?” Shanks says ” that’s Best , Law and Charlton they’re fantastic, but surely we can beat 3 men?”

I feel a bit guilty – but vilified – a bit like I have taken things for granted – and not contributed – and I’m worried about my moral fibre

This is the first time I have posted in a while (about 4 months) and I questioned myself as to why

    The Guit

When Ronny was around I posted regularly about the “underperformance ” and I wanted to see a change (nice guy Ronny just not good enough to be a Celtic manager)

    Vilified

Obviously Brendan is better ( I assume I don’t need to justify that comment)

    Taking things for granted

Because we are cruising playing beautiful football at times and simply dominating when we should be ( my criticism of Ronny was we we’re not dominating in the SPL) I have not been posting in CQN

    My moral fibre

So does this mean I only post when unhappy – do I not have the positive motivation to celebrate the great stuff Brendan is providing

Well I have used up all of my catholic guilt and I feel bad – SO

Thank you Brendan thank you CELTIC I love we are a top team building credibility and punching above our weight

I promise never to take the positives for granted again

I see that the BBC redacted the sevco singing during the minutes silence at Ross County today. At least they are consistent in protecting their own.

  20. Stairheedrammy

I switched from 810 mw to Digital.

You could hear the background singing clearly on 810 but not on Digital.

I can’t explain the difference in the broadcasts but both were BBC.

I was up at RC a week and a half ago. I doubt if those entering the ground would have been aware of the minute’s silence. The lack of sound from the terracing would have enhanced the noise from the entrance underpass.
