I agree with the general sentiment of your post but I don`t agree that `arrogance` is the reason for seeing the Cups as relatively unimportant. I think the desire to win the League and do as well in the EL as possible simply out weigh the injury/fatigue risks possible when competing an all fronts.

We do have a squad of very decent players. I feel we can still win the Cups whilst resting the likes of Calmac,Forrest,Edouard etc.

I want us to win everything but I definitely see the Title as number one priority.

  2. Hot Smoked,

No problem with that team for me,although ,cant see Hendry playing.Big Tam partnering Jullien, would do me.Let them play together. The rest, why not,and a lovely subs bench, including a few of the new kids, like Olafabi.

I think your team will be pretty close. Surely O’Connor is ahead of Hendry in the pecking order now?

I’d think we will see Gordon in goals. Bauer & Taylor at fullback. Starts for Ntcham, Rogic, Bayo & Elyounoussi.

I don’t know if Shved is even back from injury.

Fatigue should not come into it if the squad is maximised. We really have a super squad of players, enough for this league.Of course the League is the priority,it was the last 3 seasons also.Did not stop us,and should not this year.Best all round squad,I can remember.

I did think of Big Tam at CH but I just thought Hendry MIGHT show what he`s got in a game like this.

    Yes, I was thinking that when I `selected ` him ( Shved).

I don`t know much about O` Connor…..maybe that would be a good reason for his selection !

” Fatigue should not come into it if the squad is maximised.”

That means we are in agreement :-))

  7. Hah ! I have found the higlights on BBC. For whatever reason, ours are separate from the other SPFL teams.

Anyway, it was quite an exciting game but surely not THAT exciting that the highlights couldn`t find room for the `penalty` incident when a Killie player handled in the box?

Also, from their chosen angle, it does looks as though Broonie caught their player but, as we know, different angles can show matters very differently. The Beeb only showed the one angle.

  8. I think we might find out that Griffiths omission from Sunday’s squad is an indication that we will rarely see Griffiths playing again

  9. Last night they showed the penalty, pundits said, stonewaller.I thought Broonys looked like a penalty, bit of follow through, caught the guys boot.Unforttunate.The Red Card in the Livi game was ridiculous. The St Johnstone goal, showing the whole ball never crossed the line.Defoe, last goal, clear yard offside.

Some howling decisions in EPL,even with VAR.

  10. Re st.johnstone game,BBC angle showed defender stopping whole ball crossing the line and the obnoxious Thomson agreeing that it was so.

SKY angel seemed to show the whole ball was over the line.

This imo shows VAR might not clarify all situations

  11. Have said this before, the Hail Hail 67 site needs a bit of watching.Today they are focusing on our “Diving”.Citing Ryans yellow yesterday?????,Jameseys,”Soft penalty”on Thursday,??????,and Eddys dive on Thursday.

    Wit!!!!!!!

“Surely O’Connor is ahead of Hendry in the pecking order now?”

Sinéad O’Connor is ahead of Hendry in the pecking order now. 😂

Griffiths was still injured at the weekend, whether we will see a lot of him is a different debate but I would expect him to be in the squad for Wednesday.
