Despite being a whitewash as was designed by Regan and Doncaster, the LNS report acknowledged the role of Campbell Ogilvie in the Rangers EBT scandal. That he was the man who signed them off.
That he himself was an EBT recipient had also been known prior to that cf Chick Young at first denying it and then protesting that the EBT in question wouldn’t fund a night out live on Radio Scotland circa 2010/11.
Yet a matter of mere months after LNS reported, Celtic allowed Ogilvie to stand unopposed for reelection to SFA president.
I posted on here at the time that I thought that was really poor on Celtic’s part.
Some people are now suggesting that Peter Lawwell is standing down from the SPFL board in order to chase a role at the SFA and clean up the game.
Celtic could have stood a rep against Ogilvie to do precisely that in 2013 but choose not to.
In running a candidate, they could at the very least have shone a light on the dodgy practices and character of our game’s administrators.
Instead it’s up to the Res12 guys, a bloke from Channel 4 News, and a few bloggers to take up the cudgels.

Unfortunately, the only priority and legal duty is for Celtic PLC to act on behalf of her shareholders.
The sooner that point sinks in to everyone concerned with Celtic the better.

There could unfortunately be a negative fall-out from last night for both clubs who are each facing two UEFA charges on today (Thursday) from the first-leg in Belfast.
There were songs sang from either set of supporters which could be construed as sectarian and two banners were held aloft by the home fans which had clear links to the Troubles.
Sleekit ,sniggering huns will try everything to undermine us.
Just cause these huns don’t like the songs and banners does not mean they are sectarian.

it’s in Celtic’s financial and sporting interests that football governance in Scotland is sorted out and that justice is done re Rangers cheating on EBTs.
So the club should be pursuing this and if it comes to it engaging pr specialists to broaden support for the campaign to clean up Scottish football.
Individual People have crowdfunded newspaper ads, have given their time to researching, lobbying, crafting and following up on AGM resolutions. It’s not enough to expect individual fans to fund any more or to fight tooth and nail for what should be a given – a fair and clean sport.
Celtic and other clubs have either been sleeping on the job or acquiescing while cheats and compromised characters like Ogilvie and Dickson assumed and held onto office.
It’s time for Celtic and the rest of Scottish football to become part of the solution, not remain a complicit part of the problem.

Just seen the 2 of them pictured with Scottie Sinclair and the Man himself, Brendan. Aidan and Dominic have had a tough few months.
So good to see them so happy. Both pictures tell you that.

Stuart Armstrong won’t be good enough for a Brendan team, I think to be fair, Stuart has decided that… although if he was a bit younger, I reckon he could have been a contender. Quality player as well… I genuinely think it is a ‘I just wanna play fitba decision and nothing to do with Money’.

Somehow the tape of the game never made it back to St Margaret’s Drive.
Some excuse about the sun getting into camera, or the cameraman was drunk or the BBC sports desk wouldn’t touch it.
I heard the score while we were down the park play a local grudge match, 5 the change, 11 the game.
None of us could believe the score and the game was abandoned when we all ran home, me to my granny’s across the burn, to check it on the wireless.
