    Good teams have an imprinted template and the success that comes from that is self perpetuating. Brenda obviously created that for domestic glory in srason one.

     

    However I watch with interest to see how he develops this for Europe. Trickier to do tjisbin a single season I suspect. Once he does howrver it should lead to higher expectations than the support held previously. For me I kind of accepted a hit or miss in Europe hoping for a good go every 3 or 4 seasons.

     

    With the template Brendan’s developing i think we’ll see churn that incrementally improves the team season on season. Whatever happens this campaign its only the baseline for future growth.

    `78 Argentina bribed the Peruvian players . The family of Cruyff was threatened if he played in `78 .

     

    The World Cup in Qatar ? Are you kidding ?

     

    Now a leading Spanish football figure and his son are charged with corruption .

     

    Classic examples of the depth of the problem.

     

    It would be strange if this did not extend to Scotland .

     

    The game stinks.
