I couldn’t possibly comment on the specifics.

But someone seemingly got in touch and offered their services over a specific timescale.

He knew about the club / liked the challenge / the visibility / EUFA comps.

Not sure how detailed it got or if other offers got in the way.

Again possibly too good to be true but we do have some pulling power left.

So wary of the story but it is not BG / HCA / fairy tale material.

BR coming up here kept him in the shop window,

BR going back to Egg Chaser Central and getting them up to second has been noticed.

We are not the backwater many suggest we are / soon will be.

The stories now doing the rounds would suggest that big change is coming to CP.

big change is coming to CP.

Going back to calling it Parkhead 🤭

£60K here / £60K there — it soon all adds up.

It could be the starter for 10 — 18yr old project / punt.

Not sure but the number seemed ubiquitous.

Another story is AA — Did WHU incentivise his agent to move him on?

If yes how much was involved and did he pay tax on that fee or was he able to move the tax liability on?

Seemingly DM did know that he was in the squad when he got there.

  4. Thanks MadMitch – I’ll draw my own conclusions and suggest I’m not far off on the basis he has a “no other premier league jobs within a certain timescale” clause in a pay-off in the same way Brendan had, which explains the timescale and desire to remain in shop window (PSG would just bung him the money).

60k bung sounds ominous – perhaps part of Desmond’s findings and reason for things changing around – if it were one person in particular, it would explain why he wasn’t keen on Rodger’s level of control…think I read that the individual signed Kazim-Richards as a “favour” to Dudu Dahun…

    CP = 80’s / Yuppie nonsense.

    P/head = correct name.

However CP is quicker to type.

  6. Gene – Big Sam was my first suggestion, but read into MM’s first reply that it wasn’t him…

  7. Haw!,…Initial Caps….

Do you now or have you ever hud a dug?

    And a dug that talks?

  8. Maybe AA is the answer or perhaps RAC.

Possibly one of the two can tow us home following our breakdown.

  9. S101 @ 8.47

The pet agent on speed-dial was always the angle I thought was in play.

Not sure how the boats would be floated — selling club end was always an option.

However there is talk that the £60K figure is quite well known in agent circles.

Some agents know about it and price the deal accordingly.

Other agents get a surprise and the horse trading starts.

And we seem to trade a lot of donkeys.

Stake money would be one suggestion.

  10. Just before Ibrox I posted on here that if we win we go on to win the 10. We didn’t of course, in the main because we were not good enough, only three efforts on target, poor decision making on our behalf and bad decision making by the referee. Two points out of nine since the turn of the year hardly suggests that we are any more likely to win the title than we were any time before then with the present manager in charge. I’m guessing here but I think that Neil Lennon will be in situ until May 31, to allow for the possibility that we might reach the Scottish Cup Final, with Lenny leaving in a blaze of Glory. Dermot Desmond is not going to take his cue from the Green Brigade. Who would? It is one thing being at the back of the bus but when you are running behind that is something else altogether.

  11. CM @ 8.56

SC — bit of a stretch objective at the moment.

Not sure if we are going to have another play to rule protest from the Scotland Squad?

L/town is not a happy training ground this season or even last.

I don’t think we got a receipt or even a guarantee — car boot sale more like.

  13. On Ajeti – agents are often incentivised to get rid of player, especially now there’s FFP to take into account (it’s often worth EPL clubs taking a hit on transfer fee to free up wages), so not that unusual. Of course if someone got a kickback/cut of the agent fee to take him on (and knock back Toney) then things are worse than they seem!

  14. Hear rumour Donegal man Fergal Harkins coming to Celtic as director of football

    Just got this…

  15. Good lad. Ex player in League of Ireland. Worked at Nike and most recently at Man City, Recruitment and Operations he worked in to my knowledge…..

  16. BB – had to google him – scouting and recruitment the loans and pathways manager at Man City. Odd one, given the vast disparity in budgets, and o worry he’d be too close to PL (there’s a good chance Fergal is Lawell’s boy’s boss/peer/underling)…

  17. Bada, He played with Finn Harps saw him play against Cork a few times.

Didn’t know what he had been up to since but was a bit shocked when I saw you mention his name as a potential Director of Football.

  18. gene

Point being the change had to be made earlier, but wasn’t.

Lenny got the vote of confidence from the Board, while for most of us the writing was on the ceiling.
