  2. Good morning cqn from a dark and cold Garngad

    Change is still coming…..

How many times will we here that.

Surely our wonderful insightful custodians would have been sounding out managers in case NFL could not turn this around by January.

Surely we should not talk about change, we should just do it.

    Bring on the Livvy again.

    D :)

  3. So England are opening 10 mass vaccination centres today. London’s will be open soon 24 hours a day.

Northern Ireland are now vaccinating over 75s.

All great news. Does ANYONE know what’s happening in Scotland regarding our vaccination programme?

  4. Good morning from a dry and mild North Staffs

On the Picasso discussion – beauty is in the eye of the beholder – not for me 😉

    BlackadderCSC

  6. For me , Picasso (and surrealist art in general) looks interesting but I haven`t got a clue what make some paintings in that field so much `better` than others.

    Golf beckons.

    Cheerio for now.

  7. Hot smoked

In England churches are open but golf courses closed whereas in heathen Scotland 🤭

  8. PICASSO ?

He has been Painted Good and Bad on here etc..

Was he in his ” PRIMER” when doing the good stuff ?

I am filling up with EMULSION…so..lets

    GLOSS over it all !

When Picassco Died…did his mates pass a SHEET around for him ?

I once worked in a Paint Factory, y’all must have seen it as it was SPLASHED all over the papers ?

    I havent a clue CFC.

    LOL.

    HH.

PS. The sentence about working in a Paint Factory/Works is TRUE ! It was a great wee Job for a few years but the Wages were Crap. Back in the min 1990’s my Take Home Pay was £112 per Week…that was for a 40 Hour Week. Other workers were on the same as me.

    HH.

  9. Paint works…

IF One of us had a WIN at the Bookies…we were all lining up to borrow some cash from whoever won at the Bookies…..we were literally all living out of each others Pockets.

Some nasty racist Huns in that place…..even the ” decent” Old Rangers Fans didnt like them.

    HH.

  10. PICASSO….

    Final words on Picasso…

Pablo Picasso surprised a burglar at work in his studio

The burglar got away, but Picasso told the police he could do a rough sketch of what he looked like. On the basis of his drawing, the police arrested a mother superior, a washing machine, and the Eiffel tower.

    ‘exit stage left’

  12. Everyone knows there needs to be major changes at board level as well as the management and coaching staff. PL has clearly lost his effectiveness and its looking unlikely he can recover, it is now mainstream news that he is too involved in the football side of things which will prevent us from getting a proper coaching and football team in place.

But I ask this… Can we afford to sack him? He’s on. A ridiculous £3m per year, what would it cost to get him out the door?

Is the alternative to being in a proper director of football and DD to ensure he’s not overly involved and doesn’t have too much power?

  13. Lawwell is on a bonus system that defies belief, he requires to be removed from the club whatever the cost as he interferes in the signing of players who eventually go elsewhere, it’s not his club but he treats it as such due to a pathetic board.

My wife (Social worker) has had hers already, all 3 of her elderly grandparents have also had their vaccinations.

    It’s being rolled out.

  17. Who is this Picasso of whom you speak? Does he play centre forward? If so paint him into a corner and sign him up. We could certainly do with a Masterpiece…

    HH

  18. Embdy got a couple of Picasso’s paintings they don’t want?

If so get my email from Paul.

    Thanks in advance.

  19. Thanks for responses re vaccine

I just feel we’re being left in the dark about it while our neighbours are setting, and achieving set targets

  20. GENE and FRIESDORFOR…

    Very Good Bhoys LOL.

    ………..

In that Paint works, when my take Home Pay was £112 per 40 Hour week, I would get a ” Rent Rebate” from the Housing Dept DWP etc each Month via a GIRO….to supplement my low wages.

It really was/is SHOCKING that someone with a FULL TIME Job, MUST get a hand out thru the benefit system to just survive.

I was made Redundant by this Paint Company around 1996….but my Main Boss knew that I was a ” Good Worker” unlike some others and promised me to get me back to work as soon as possible ?

About 3 Months passed ( NO Redundancy Money), and I was on the Dole. I was watching ” TV one afternoon when my old boss phoned me and offered me my old Job back…as Plenty of New Paint Orders had came in ?

I immediately said ” Yes” to his offer….My Boss then immediately replied with ” I KNOW that when you work here that you NEED to rely on a Rent rebate each Month etc…is it worth your while working here, because of of your low wages etc” ?

I said..” I know what you mean, but I am sittiing here ” watching” Feckin “Neighbours” on TV on a Wednesday afternoon with about £2 Quid in my pocket….Any Job is better than being on the Dole and doing nothing” !

So I started back again in my old job the very next Morning…only to be made Redundant again some Two years later when the Company was sold.

I wasnt the ONLY Guy in there who relied on some Housing Benefit because of the Low Wages.

It was a disgraceful situation to be in, but I NEEDED to have some kind of work or else I would go Nuts on the Dole.

  21. Big Georges Fan Club - Hail, Hail, Wee Oscar on

Just read that CQN piece about Oko-Flex’s miss – https://www.celticquicknews.co.uk/x-certificate-celts/

What a horrible, nasty, spiteful wee article it is – just be cause the young man couldn’t get to the ball in time. If his leg was two inches longer he would have scored a barely-deserved winner – it isn’t, we didn’t.

The “Hero to Zero” caption is particularly poor, as is dragging up an old social media post when the laddie wasn’t happy that he hadn’t got on the park as a sub.

Reads as if it came from the pen of Red-top bitter hun – really, really poor show.

  23. Really interesting updates on vaccinations.

Of particular interest to those above a certain age and those of us approaching same.

One thing which would be very helpful, and provide context, is a note of which country the recipients are in.

I’m aware CQN has a strong international presence

  24. BGFC

    Agree!

    Appalling article!

I hope the young lad doesn’t read CQN.

    Shameful stuff.

  25. GuyFawkesaforeverhero on

My neighbour up by the family house was a bit shifty. I just always thought he had something to hide.

I said to him, why do you keep your Picasso in the garage?

“Well, 90 miles to the gallon. I don’t want it to rust.”
