    What Sandman said.

If we have to play Sevco at all, the fact of which I find loathesome, I’m pleased we got themin the semis, although I would fancy either the Sheep or Kilmarnock to have dealt with them at that stage.

They aren’t very good at playing football.

The only downside is, as usual, the Level 5/SMSM feeding frenzy that will occur; yoking their vile brand to ours.

But we just beat them, three times, and send them into Hell. Again.

Three games that could finish them. Hopefully once and for all, so that we can all breathe clean air.

I hope it’s not too wild, he does seem to spend a lot of time out in it.

  4. Routine 2 -0 won at Ipox , Moreless offside about 10 times , 2 French lhads up front will be too much for them

Not sure what the fuss is about

  5. Hi Bhoys

Great draw today as i’ve been saying the only people that will/can kill these monkeys off once and for all is Celtic.

We don’t need to beat them 3 times, though that would be my preffered choice, 2 league draws and a semi final win will kill their season ticket renewal numbers.

Stop their scum support buying tickets and they die empty their park not ours. It’s as simple as that.

C’mon Celtic you know it makes sense.

Imagine going on holiday this summer going through the airport and not seeing a monkey suit. How good would that be?

Buchan Arms on the Main Street in Broxburn is 100% tims and is the nearest to Houston hoose. If Burghbhoy is on he will recommend St. Philomenas church hall Winchburgh a couple of miles away.

  7. Glad we have then in the semi. Always a better day out in the final free of the bile. Would like Motherwell and Kilmarnock in the other. Part-time glory hunters don’t come to semis, only finals, so SFA can expect a real ‘spectacle’ for the game which will obviously get the Saturday slot and a crowd of under 10k.

We haven’t properly embarrassed them this season. Time for the manager and team to step up.

They have momentum which is always good. We are a bit stuttering so time to impose and dominate with a strong midfield.

Time for our injured to recover before the most important of the 3 games which is the semi. Double treble history should be enough motivation any player needs…

Two more away games (Huns and Motherwell) before the 2 week international break.

Then our next home game against Ross County on 31st followed by home to Dundee and away to Hamilton before the semi-final mid April.

By then we should have Armstrong, Boyata, Ralston and Griffiths available with Rogic, Compper, Roberts plus Musonda with more match time under their belts.

And as we approach next Sunday at The Close Brothers Emporium, good to reflect on Brendan’s domestic record to date:

Played 82, won 69, drawn 11 and lost 2 with 216 scored against 49 conceded.

Artistic Impression points don’t count in winning trophies so just settle with an 84% win rate

Until we scud them – hopefully next week – they’re going to be insufferable, relentlessly supported by the Hun press.

Just off the phone to Teuchter and he mentioned your post about next Sunday.

The Buchan Arms in Broxburn is a fine Celtic boozer and you will be made more than welcome .

However, you are very welcome to join me and the Winchburgh CSC in St Philomena’s Church hall in Winchburgh. There will probably be about 40-50 like minded soul’s in for the game.

Needless to say your experience would not be tainted by any Sevconians.

It would take u 5 minutes in a taxi to get from Houston House.

If I decide to join us great, ask for Burghbhoy and we’ll sink a jar or two….if not I hope you have a great day and your team wins !!

Murty showing his inexperience as a “manager” , squad cheered at getting us , full of confidence and relish the challenge . Bhoy hope That’s posted on our training wall, this mob are gearing for one hell of a fall…..

  16. An interesting few weeks with a couple of ‘massive’ games now looming. Despite the sevco performances which have improved the games are massive due to our performances which have been less than inspiring. The huns have reached backed into the depths of their despair and found some hope relying on games in hand and BBC punditry to ignite their celebratory bonfires.

    Dream on.

We should have more than enough for them next Sunday but I do feel we’ll receive a much stiffer challenge. I’m sure Brendan is ready…

A double treble, count me in.

    Hail Hail

  17. Firstly, well done to Brendan and the team yesterday. In my opinion, we’re just 180 minutes away from a double Treble which would be an excellent achievement. Great to see Moussa regaining some of last season’s form while also good to see Tommy Rogic get another 70 odd minutes on the park before next weekend. I reckon Brendan will pick 10 of yesterday’s side for next Sunday with Calmac replacing Sinky.

On to Sevco, delighted we drew them in the cup semi-final and we shouldn’t lack motivation to give them a pumping on Saturday also. Murty is really bigging up this Sevco side so it’s time we brought them back to reality with a bang.

  18. Watched the majority of the Sevco game today,

what a lot of pish,if that is as good as they are we have

nothing to worry about, they look ok going forward but will be

lucky to get any possession from us at all,and as for their defence,

if we turn up at all we win

    Doc @7:00

Exactly m8, let them build themselves up, mcColl on Sportscene looked full of expectations, three defects within two months will make their ST sales for next season plummet :0)

*On the day of John Thomson’s 33rd anniversary I saw us for the first time beating that mob, previous to this it had been a draw when big Frank contrived tae throw one intae the net in the last minute practically on his doorstep and a humiliating loss in Paddy Crerand’s last game where even bette davis managed tae score, both at hades tae.

On a dreich soggy day reminiscent of the day the wee mhan would score a brace against them at hades which won us the League just less than 3 years later our injury hit team faced a full strength deidco one who were buoyant after beating Red Star in the EC that midweek.

After a 0-0 tie with the Maryhill Magyars at Parkheid in the LC we then went on a nice wee run including a 3-1 League victory at Fir Park and taking 4, 5 and then 6 off Killie, Thistle and the calvinists respectively winning our section before the final game scoring 18 goals enroute and so Rugby Park was a rubber match as far as we were concerned, not so the knights templars.

Both big Billy and Bobby Murdoch were stretchered off and rushed to hospital and so bad were the roughhouse tactics of the home side that, in Celtic supporters fashion back then, missiles were thrown onto the park as Celtic players lay strewn across it, a 9 man Celtic side battled on only tae lose tae a penalty and last minute goal.

However, the consequences were huge as we now faced deidco with a ravaged side not having beat them in the League for 4 seasons it did look ominous, although it could be said it was a blessing in disguise, big John Cushley replaced Billy who had problems with the Garngard born hun centre and Jim Brogan was at right half in place of John Clark who was also injured down in the land that time forgot with Johnny Divers back in the side replacing Bobby Murdoch who was like Billy in plaster.

As I said the weather was brutal and I alighted the train at Queen Street meeting family who came in from the other side of the toon, rather than walking up tae the game we took a taxi where the driver told us that big Yogi had been at the dugs the night before and confirmed he would be in the side.

Now it always depended on what John Hughes turned up on the day and on that one it was the Feed the Bear version. He was brilliant and tore big hynd a new one. He scored a beauty running down the Jungle side leaving hun players in his wake before firing it home only for mitby phillips to call it back for a foul tae us.

We then got a penalty only for Charlie Gallagher tae hit the post and then Stevie, who else, put us ahead. Within 10 minutes if the restart we were 3 up thanks again tae Stevie and the Bear and although they got a consolation goal in the closing minutes we held on for a great victory, well it was to me as you always remember your first time.

Our replacement players made the difference with big John and Brogie having forrest and maclean in their pockets and John Divers nullifying the baxter threat.

Although we lost 0-2 at Methil 4 days later in the first leg of the semis we pulled that back easily a week later with a Stevie nap hand and a singular fae the President.

We went on a nice wee run including a 4-1 aggregate win over Leixoes in the Inter City Fairs Cup, another Stevie double in the second game at home and so it was the huns at hampden. We were really up for this especially after an easy 4-1 victory over the Buddies the week before.

And then it all fell apart, not that we played that bad against them, anything but, however, this was a different hun side, the old warhorses caldow and miller were back, so no prisoners were being taken. We in Celtic style ran at them, a penalty was denied when caldow sent Jinky sprawling in the box, by the same ref who would give us 2 penalties against them a year later at the same venue, but then Jock was in charge and he unlike oul Jimmy was no push over.

The same player heided a John Divers header off the line, they took the lead in the second half only for us to fight back and a powerful Bobby Murdoch shot that Ritchie couldn’t stop and turned to save on his line, or so the mitby said, our players claimed a goal and were jumping around celebrating but to no avail.

The Monday papers showed the hun goalie clawing it back just before it crossed the line, they even had Photoshop back then. They went further ahead before Jinky pulled one back but our players were deflated by this point and so were we on the terracing.

After that we went on a tailspin losing 8 out of 16 games and drawing 3 more although it must be said one of those was against Barca on a cold winter’s night in what was one of our better displays. Bobby Murdoch missed a penalty and Jinky was sent off at hades and it looked as if it couldnae get any worse, and yet by the end of that month wee ten thirty had returned, we took 8 off the sheep with the Bear scoring 5 and Big Jock announced he was coming back.

However, the moral of this story is that after a good wee run including a great victory over them, the loss at hampden sent us falling so hard that big Billy thought about leaving for Spurs and Bobby Murdoch was looking at Oz, so let’s send this mob on a downward spiral that they may never recover from.

  20. If we go into Soft Loans Co. games confidently, (and we should), we will have nothing to fear.

TonyRome: I spend a fair amount of time in the Costa Del Sol and it’s rare that you see people dressed up as Sevvies. Long may it continue.

    Oíche mhaith.

  21. By my calculations there’ll be roughly 5 weeks between Sunday’s game and the cup semi final. Currently, they’re full of confidence and that’ll be bolstered by their subservient, complient media lackies.

Win on Sunday Celtic and by the time of the semi we’ll all be in a completely different mindset.

  22. I spent last weekend with the wonderful Kirkintilloch Emerald in Aberdeen as a well looked after guest of their club; they’ve agreed I can tell a tale or two later.
