    Watched a wee clip of an interview with Wim Jansen earlier.

     

     

    He comes across as just a really nice man.

     

     

    No arrogance at ll. Always with a big smile and always upbeat and positive.

    Said to the guy beside me at half time, my only worry was that thug Lasley or another putting one of our boys out of the game. Brendan didn’t react that much to the tackle on KT. Like everything else he seems to take it in his stride. I would like to see him put a marker down with the refs however. The reason being if he does it after it costs us big time it may look like sour grapes.

    It was always likely that, in the wake of the whistleblowing efforts made down south to highlight this, that there would be many Scottish clubs affected by former players revealing what had happened to them.

     

     

    While it is, of course, inexcusable what happened to those young players, it is a good thing that disclosure is being made and that perpetrators will be named.

     

     

    The fact that we, as a club (because of Torbett and others), have been highlighted as the most obvious historical source for this vile abuse, these disclosures might cause some huns to revise their approach to child abuse one-upmanship. But I doubt it.

     

     

    Above all, may the efforts taken to support the victims coming forward be worth more time and care than we spend on the perpetrators.

    Don’t beat yourself up. You just reacted emotionally, whatever the outcome of any alleged or rumoured story, there may be consequences.

     

    I am now three pints to the good, that’s my limit when I have a long day ahead the next day. It’s also the limit i set myself when posting on here. Looking forward to next weekend when I can resume posting about dodgy hamstrings and even dodgier recipes. HH

    If,as is assumed,the mibs have the backing of their masters then who will hold them to account?I reckon we’d see the ‘paranoia’ card being played again.We would only gain from calling them out if there was proper stewardship of our game,free of any bias or long-held grudges which is highly unlikely at the SFA.

     

    I think Brendan’s wise to how it is up here and plays his own game so to speak.

    That I agree with, but I would imagine that Pedro has things he can hold over those at the top, ie Regan and Doncaster, he must have more over others as well, else he wouldn’t be doing his job, all is fair in love and war, and football of course, he should use it, we keep hearing that he is all about what is good for the club, making money is fine, but when in the space of a week two of our best players were blessed they are not long term injuries cos of the lack of protection from the referees, he is gambling big time imo.

    I agree with you on most of your post however I don’t care whether a disclosure occurs that may or may not have Sevco fans revise their approach. That suggests a hope/want/requirement/need (whichever word you care to use) that something horrible has happened to some young boy at their old club and for me that is not any hope I could ever want to have.

    Couldn`t agree more.

     

    I fear that one of our players will take a nasty one soon.

     

    Tommy Rogic is already crocked for some months.

     

    Usually ,it is the flair players who cop it.

     

    I doubt if there is much joy to be had in complaining about refs. and their blatant failure to protect , and their pathetic slap on the wrist to the offenders.

     

    Our new midfielder ( Kouassi ? ) is reputed never to take a backward step.

     

    Perhaps that is the role which Brendan has in mind for him.

     

     

    Retribution or getting our retaliation in first may well be the plan.

     

    No doubt our targets will have already been identified.

     

    I hope so.
