I’m sure there’s a rather famous picture of Jinky as a ball boy at Parkhead.

  2. HT

Heard there was a large Dortmund ? fans presence at today’s game and in or around standing section ? Some protest about how they are being treated in their own stadium

  3. JIM PAYNE on 18TH FEBRUARY 2017 7:27 PM

Yes the MOH tackle did cross my mind too. I saw the tackle today from 105, you must be talking 70 yards away at least, it was an obvious red to me.

  4. THELURKINTIM

Many thanks for the video. Brilliant, appreciated.

Another 3 points, well done the Hoops.

Had Cardiff at minus 1 at 6/4. Pity I didn’t take them at -4!

Wil take the Sheep on Sunday at minus 1 or 2. Think that is better than a treble . Do you hear me, GFTB ?

  5. Re the Huns and their money problems

Heard a bizarre story today – not sure if its the rehash of an old story but here goes

Huns have a half time draw – prize £4k- and at a recent game a happy fan won and went to collect his winnings post match. He was offered 2 grand and hospitality for rest of season rather yhan the 4k. The guy acceoted. Strange tale that I am sure is not true. They are not in such dire straits are thry?

If it was up to me I would never let BR leave, like many we all loved St Martin, but he left, I don’t think Brendan will as he has already experienced the EPL shenanigans……

    Big Shuggy :-)

By the way for some budding footballers out there don’t cross your manager at any level, wee Griff is lucky BigShuggy had me by the throat back in the day……I retaliated by scoring goals just to annoy him :-)

  7. ADI D

I have no idea, what I do know, there was at least 8 police on horses, at least 12 on their feet and that does not include the 2 vans with other in the vans – with these vans virtually at the stadium turnstiles (ok maybe 20ft max from them

I find it alarming how they are targeting fans entering the stadium

About time they had the same focus after the games in clearing the traffic around the exit routes ( roads)

  8. Good evening champions….three points and with luck no injuries…was an half hour late for KO and Biton,s hair style fair confused me…thought Lennie had been magiced back in tim time …but hair belongs to the first man on the moon,s blood…great to see him back…..Zig and Zag next week please…

Thought wee Jamsie was MOM ….he is just getting brawer and brawer….nae whinging …gets up and goes again..but faster! Braw…

Weefrathetim. Great to see your moniker again…as ever regards to the boss..

    Hail hail.

    Braw.

  9. Brogan Rogan Trevino and Hogan on

    Evening All.

Not long in from the game and dropping off the daughter in darkest Jamestown.

I thought we Jamsie was man of the match today by a street as did Malorbhoy who was sitting next to me — or should I say I was sitting next to him!!

Good enough performance though the passing was a bit wayward at times but we were always in control.

Timreaper, I think you have mail from this morning re Lisbon.

  10. WeeFra

Good to see you posting big guy I hope you’re well.

    WITS

They talk absolute nonsense but we know that. It’s almost as nonsensical as proposing a cafe outside Parkhead!!!

  11. What is the Stars on

    HT

    Cafe at Parkhead

In fairness even the huns arent that daft

BTW have you seen the Trainspotting movie ? I dont think the PEEPIL will be too pleased as to how their KULTUR is portrayed

  12. Didn’t see game today, was working so gave my dad my seat, went to Bombay cottage for late lunch with step daughter son in law and two granddaughters. Then back to ours to make up the purvey (older viewers will know what that is)for our youngest granddaughters christing tomorrow, absolutely bursting wi pride watching everybody doing their bit to make tomorrow a great day.Sorry for the rant:-))

  13. Cowiebhoy

Thanks. You are right about cops. Wife went to game with me today and said ‘ Why are there so.many police. We dont have a problem & atmosphere is calm.’

When I thought about it she’s right…. as she always is !!!!

But I have been thinkin about it & there is a complete overkill of their presence.

    Thanks for posting the highlights.

Great goal from JF .. like to see him feint cutting in, and then going outside … will open up so much space for him, and others … and a great finish

Never a red card for the tackle on KT … should have been a jail sentence for that. That wasn’t a foul. It was an assault.

  16. The tackle on KT today reminded me of the one Lafferty did on Hinkle, same outcome I recall, just a yellow.

I can understand present players and management saying little as they are obviously instructed to and would be on the end of retrubution from the cheating scum with the whistles, but for the life of me, past players that are not involved in the game anymore remain silent, that I can’t get the head around.

  17. James Forrest for me, has grown into the player he could/should have been a few seasons ago…the transformation in him is a joy to watch as it is with others.

    Who’s it down to?

Our Brendan and the coaching staff.

As someone earlier mentioned, even our defence is not the shambles it was.

    ——————-

Lenny, MON can’t remember them utter anything about the refs, BR has total control no one can pull him up for anything yet no word yet? Maybe waiting for the right time? Though he does hate the pitch :O)

  19. What is the Stars on

    Sipsini

Almost every player who was here last year has improved under Rodgers

He is now qouted as saying he wants the Board to invest in a new playing surface for next season

    He seems driven

He is setting great standards all through the club

  20. TET

BFDJ said on Radio Clyde as I was travelling home from the game that it was a straight red. I couldn’t tell as I was at the other end of the pitch but I’ve just seen it now myself and it certainly was.

I see it like the recent one by O’Halloran. Perhaps not intentionally nasty but a red regardless.

  21. Not one of the Invincibles finest performances but it was more than good enough. And James Forrest was the motm.

  22. 16 roads - Celtic über alles... on

Kieran is going finish up a cripple by the age of 21 if he continues to play his football in Scotland.

Zero protection afforded by the MIB.

Same as it ever was however the thugs have cranked up the brutal assaults on our players there past five or six games.

    Sick to death of it.

  23. BOURNESOUPRECIPE on 18TH FEBRUARY 2017 6:07 PM

Paul67 was spot on with his preview, and Motherwell go away happily beaten.

    Good summary.

    M.O.M James Forrest

    I agree :)

  24. 16 roads - Celtic über alles... on

ICT away was the worst example ever – that evening we lost the title there in Lenny’s first season at the helm.

Kicked up and down that potato field with impunity.

Games against that old dead club?

I’m not even gonna go there.

    HH.

  25. Still reading back-setting free the bears+GARY67,I personally don’t think John Kennedy has anything what so ever to do wi clean sheets:-))

  26. No magic ‘Brendan’ wand, just find the right players even if ‘its the same ones’, for the proper positions, something previous managers didn’t do.

Scott Sinclair does best wide left coming inside onto his good foot, ( Paddy Roberts does the same on wide right moving inside onto his left )

James Forrest and Stuart Armstrong are the opposite and do better on their natural side, put them on their good foot, and its transformation time.

It’s a simple game and not rocket salad CSC.

p.s. Scott ( Right footed ) Brown is outstanding at left mid this season.
