  1. it may not be the right time to reflect on the season but both Sevco and ourselves lost only 3 matches this season. Our winning margin was gained by turning two draws into two wins.

We could point out that two of our wins were achieved with last minute goals from the unsung Anthony Ralston and the unheralded Leil Abada- who was having difficulty being selected for the Israeli national team.

There will be some sour reasoning from the blue half of Glasgow that we have been lucky this year. I never felt this was lucky; I felt we scrapped and fought against disadvantage and game management by refs to claw our way to victory.

Amongst the flair and skill of Jota and Kyogo and Rogic and O’Riley, we added the strength and grit of CCV, Starfelt, Ralston and Giakoumakkis, and the tireless running of Taylor and Maeda with the forward facing drive of Hatate and Calmac. This was a hard fought win but was never due to a fortunate set of circumstances and we must not let that narrative take hold.

We played some great inventive football but we allied it to a willingness to wrestle, disrupt and out run opposition efforts. Those who finished behind us did not match those efforts; we beat them on strength and skill. We have a manager who was getting criticism as a romantic all-out attack man. Yet we lost only 22 goals in 38 domestic league games, while we scored our 92 goals. We are led by a man who values skill and entertainment but is not fool enough not to realise that battles need to be won too.

And that’s why we’re champions. Isn’t it great?

  2. I won’t be listening to any of the so called”Transfer experts”,you know the ones who write as if they are in the know, like the bam who was reporting that Jeahzde was coming,we had talks with the club, any day now, think its the Joseph guy.Turns out,all bollox.Hopes raised and dashed for nothing.

Will wait a lot longer.Same with Jota,CCV,been writing guff about them for months.

Charlatans.Know as much as we do.

I missed the first half but decided to watch the second half of the English cup final.

TBH wished I had went to penalties, a bore feast😕

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

If only they had the penalties first, you could then have watched something else.

  6. I didn’t watch the cup final yesterday and it seems the general comments on here is that it was nothing to write home about – but if you haven’t got a dog in the fight lots of games seem like that.

    Still buzzing from yesterday.

Sky sports 2 30 today has a programme about Ange. Followed by highlights of some games including beating the huns home and away this season

Yesterday was just magical..I watched the match at home with my son before being joined by a few friends.

The beer was flowing, the atmosphere was joyous and the weather played its part too.

My son left to join in the celebrations in the Trongate whilst we continued the party in the garden..

He returned home a good few hours later, a big drunken smiling wreck.

To top it all, the wife didney moan once

    What a day

Yesterday was an occasion that will long in the memory, for many reasons, well articulated on here by numerous posters

The summit of the season, for showmanship, excitement, sheer skill, and for putting your deadly enemy to the sword, is encapsulated in this short clip.

  11. Good afternoon one and all. Yesterday was a great day – terrific way to sign off the season, with a last minute goal nailing the “we never stop” mantra 💪

I had my grandson’s first holy communion yesterday, so I a hectic day all around.

Mass was at 3:00 in St Joseph’s (Tollcross) with drinks afterwards in Bridgeton community centre. Both venues situated each side of Paradise, with 60,000+ fans attending that venue.

The day started with a drive past the Forge retail park around 10:30 enroute to Bridgeton community centre – to help set up the hall for the after mass gathering. Loads of early Bhoys and Ghirls milling around as the atmosphere was building up before the game. Managed to finish decorating the hall around 12:00 – then a quick 5 min drive to daughters house so that said daughter could sort her mother’s hair for the occasion (whilst I watched the first half in their house). 25 mins into game and I realise that neither my daughter or my better half appear to be on script as to the tight schedule we have.

“Daughter dear, can you stop messing around, and sort your mothers hair please. I want to leave here at half time.”

(I’ve got a 15 min drive home – passing Paradise again – to then give ourselves time to get ready for said communion…whilst trying to watch the 2nd half in my house) 😁

    “How long til HT, da?”

    “20 mins”

I then get the look – you know the one…the look that says…da I love you, but jeezo 🤣🤣

Anyway, 25-30 mins later, we’re leaving to drive home. Miss first 5-10 mins of 2nd half 🤷‍♂️

Then try to watch game whilst running from room to room, getting ready. Manage to see some of the post match celebrations, incl trophy presentation. But then need to leave home to get to St Joseph’s for pre-service photos before 3:00 mass. Manage to get there before traffic builds up, as most fans still in stadium.

Mass was over by 3:45, so then had to drive from Tollcross – via Carntyne – to Bridgeton, whilst navigating traffic as fans were heading home from Paradise.

Eventually got the car parked up…and started enjoying some beers to celebrate the day (communion and footy). 😁😁

Terrific and memorable day all round. 👍

Confession being good for the soul, I was that bam, although I did not report it originally. I saw it on a couple of Celtic sites, watched the video, and copied and pasted it to CQN.

I’m sorry if it turns out to be a fake rumour, because we have had some luck with Swedish players in the past, and the clip of the Hammarby left back was impressive.

  13. I wonder if the reason SKY are giving us a fair crack of the whip recently is because they are beginning to realise our manager is big in Australia and Japan. I’m sure Murdoch has his own TV stations in that part of the world.

The unique angle footage is up on the official site and as always it’s wonderful to see the togetherness and camaraderie in the goal celebrations…plus seeing big CCV ping that ball onto Maeda’s head for the sixth is a thing of beauty…

Michael Stewart described Giakoumakis’s overhead goal as a miss-kick and went on to say his 6th goal “also wasn’t very pleasing on the eye.”

He’s just a clown who loves the sound of his own voice.

I feared the worst at 2-0 especially when we pushed up for a corner and should probably have gone 3 down – but everything to play for on Thursday – however we are usually better away.

Man City had 79% possession first half, and still ended up 2-0 down.

If West Ham win, it pushes Man U and Cristiano Ronaldo into European Conference territory. I am sure he is going to love that!

They do have a lot of back 4 players injured, and a midfielder at center back. They are still an amazing football team.

  23. What a day yesterday.

Yesterday was perfect in every way for me personally after a challenging 7 days. Huge credit to everyone involved. One of my all time top Celtic days ever. The shared energy of management, players, staff and supporters was special and the ‘total team’ ethos was accentuated by the inclusion of the families sharing their personal engagement and joy / wonderment with the support also.

Surgeons / Nurses and others were simply incredible in dealing with me and my challenges so skillfully and with such care, earlier in the week but Ange, Calum and all at Celtic provided the perfect tonic to get me back on my feet.

Some much to enjoy this season and so so much to look forward to. With the energy we had as an entity yesterday it is easy to see why May. Believe we are on the cusp of something truly special.
