1 of the reasons a lot of us have asked for Ronny to be given more time was the injured players return and what difference they may make to us.
I like Efe, his biggest asset is his composure on the ball in central defence, but he offers little going forward as a right back and any team setting their tactics against us will be able to concentrate their defensive energy’s in fewer areas making it even harder for the players that are a threat.
The more dimensions we have to our game makes us harder to keep at bay and Lustig is our best option at right back, both as a defender and as an attacking threat.

Great performance. Shame there were not more fans caring enough about us succeeding in league cup tonight. Still always better to have fewer volunteers than a stadium full of season ticket conscripts.
Still rangers support officially boycotting last night and game on TV get 13000 and we have no boycott, not on TV and yet only 17000 turn up. Some might suggest our supporters are a wee bit spoilt.
I hope these who went tonight get priority for semi final and final briefs.

Well that is a shame. It doesn’t seem that long ago that bad language in general was pulled up and/or removed from CQN, now it seems to be acceptable to throw it at other fellow supporters rather than just enjoy our victory.

Let’s be perfectly clear about this. John Guidetti is on loan to Celtic until the season’s end, by which time the player’s contract will have expired. Loan deals are subject to legal contracts.
There is no way Man City can sell Guidetti to any club, because on January 1st, he can sign a pre-contract agreement with another club, to join when his contract expires at the end of the season.
Celtic could agree a pre-contract with the player in January and ask City to let him sign immediately, for a fee. But Celtic already have him till end of season, so such a request would be nonsensical.
If Celtic want to keep Guidetti on a permanent deal, all they need to do is reach a pre-contract agreement with the player in January and he signs at the end of the season, with no transfer fee involved.
There is no way City can sell Guidetti to ANY club, because the transfer window opens in January, by which time he is into his last 6 months and is already legally committed to Celtic.
If Celtic can agree the pre-contract with Guidetti in January, he is our player and we won’t need to pay City one thin dime.
The Daily Record is telling porkies. It’s what the SMSM do best. As soon as a new Celtic star begins to rise, they feel obliged to put a dampener on it.
On top of all that, I am astonished to read comments on CQN such as “Get it done Celtic” and “Get the finger out Lawwell” and “Come on Celtic pay the 5 million”.
It’s the stuff of nonsense. Stop listening to the Record and doing their dirty work for them. We’re better than that.

In good times and bad, our attendances at LC games has generally been poor.
Unfortunately, attending tonight will guarantee you nothing ticketwise. :(

After the first 10 minutes we always looked as if we’d win comfortably. The sending off just meant it was 6 instead of 3 or 4.
That’s two games with that starting 11 and a 5-0 & 6-0 win. This Ronny fella knows what he’s doing.
Excellent result . Some better performances . And starting to hit the net . One wish I have though is I would have liked victor Wanyama to still be donning the hoops in our midfield , as I feel we are still soft in that department . It’s not a complaint , it’s a wish

I hear what your saying, but in many leagues around Europe, the cup games are a bit more physical and that’s how you get the wee teams having the occasional run. I’m not condoning it (entirely :) ), but it does create a bit of interest.

I know if big wages are thrown at him by English or European teams, it may affect our chances of keeping him but I pray he sees what can be achieved by staying with us.
We have been fortunate that our three Swedish players in the last seventeen years have all been great for us and it would be great if he became our fourth great Swedish player.

Let me re-phrase, any SFA sponsored cup competitions
I point blank refuse to support/fund that organisation
Celtic, do not get the gate money from tonight (yes they get part)
If they Did, I would have been there
And to be clear I have no interest no matter who we draw in it
I also think we should play our under 21s in this competition, that’s the respect I would give it

Again I differ from your opinion, most cup games in the rest of the world are a one of, teams sometimes are just no up for it, the standard of refin is normally the same for all games, be it a cup game or a league game, in scodland, they can kick the eff out of our players at will, cos it’s just the way it’s always been, be it a cup or a league game.
