    A red all day long in any league in the world, I was very surprised the ref had the bottle to send him off.

     

     

    Celtic TV showed quite a few replays of it, it got worse from each angle it was shown.

     

     

     

    And the ref was too leniant imo, some of the stuff he let away was well out of order, if we-scotland want to play with the proper footballing nations, they need to get their act together and come into the real world, the world where footballers are allowed to play football, and feck the hun agenda of boot them football.

    The media will start their usual stirring the brown stuff with Ronny as he’s starting to win games and with John Guidetti being linked to a move away as we still have the biscuit tin mentality.

     

     

    I liked the players backing up John G when he was scythed down, always a good sign of team spirit especially Mikael backing up his countryman.

    If we are drawn v thems in the semi final, the game is played under the auspices of the SPFL, who will write the programme and make all the match arrangements. Celtic will have no input whatsoever.

     

    We can opt to attend the match or not.

     

    Such a game will not reflect our club’s attitude re the newco/oldco debate or the “history” of thems. That “test” will come when/if we play them at home in an early cup round or the league.

    I think only the fans and Ronny have the power to keep John. It’s down to Ronny to treat him well and make him a better player (positive signs so far) and the fans to make him feel like a hero and give him a packed arena in which he can be proud to play. It’s how we kept Larsson.

    Really really hope that we don’t draw them in the semi or meet them in the final. The reason, I don’t think I could stomach the inevitable constant references to the ‘Old Firm’ in the build up, the fact that there would be clips showing games and goals involving the deceased club.

     

     

    I doubt that a single main stream media outlet will point out that it is the first meeting of the teams.

    It’s not about the money with Guidetti, it’s about convincing him to stay at Celtic and that we have a vision for the future in Europe, he can go and play in a better quality league all day long, he has the talent, can we convince him that our future includes building a team around him and VVD and CG etc.

     

     

    There’s no point in signing Guidetti and then selling VVD in the next window, I think if we were building toward that kind of future he might be tempted to do a Henrik and stay if not he’ll be off I guess.

     

     

    We do have that kind of vision don’t we Pedro, Pedro, Pedro I’m talking tae ye!
