Signing event in Stirling

Joe Miller will be at Waterstones in Stirling tomorrow (Thurs) from 5pm to sign copies of Caesar and the Assassin, Billy McNeill and Davie Hay’s account of managing Celtic from 1978 to 1991, told in their own words to Alex Gordon.

Joe is a great character who worked under McNeill, Hay and Alex Ferguson, and now heads the Celtic Former Players Association. If you’re in the Stirling area, get along and bring your camera.

The 2015 CQN Annual is through design and ready to ship next week. You can pre-order yours now.

  1. I thought for a lot of the game we played well tonight, we just need that wee injection of guile from midfield that we’re lacking.

Oh, and never mind, the huns can have another crack at the Petrofac cup next season!

    They just keep on giving.

  2. Thanks to all who kept us up to date this evening. I think I am enjoying this evening’s results with too much inordinate pleasure. Need to calm down.

The old firm is dead. However most of the people that followed the old club now follow the new club. So it’s enjoyable to revel in their misfortune and eternal humiliation. No?

  4. Can anyone really imagine the anguish the hun hordes are going through. Not just tonight, its every day.Always another bombshell to hit them.No sign of a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel.

    The “Journey”eh.How is that progressing?.

    Luv it.

Super Salary has won 2 trophies out of a possible 19; some going for £800k a year. The ole Rangers must be turning in their grave…

And , never forget, those two trophies are the ones that , by their very nature, afford the greatest opportunities for honest mistakes.

  7. My very first live football matches were at Recreation Park Alloa. Anybody remember Lexie Shields a fabulous winger? Lennie McComb?

    Crowds of exactly 452?

And topically , Hearts fans fighting amongst themselves in an abandoned (due to fog) Scottish Cup game?

Bitterly cold night at Celtic Park saw the bhoys win by a one-goal margin for what seems the umpteenth time, this season.

It wasn’t for the want of failing to makes chances, it was a lack of finish that torments Celtic at home, every forward player was wasteful in front of goal, and it was left to Van Dijk to show the way to goal. Charlie Mulgrew’s baffling poor form continued in midfield and he suffered the half time hook for Nir Biton, whom most were surprised to see omitted from the starting line up.

Countless chances were spurned, and although Aleksandar Tonev shows glimpses but finishes off target too often to imagine a permanent move to Celtic. Scepovic and Commons also could have wrapped it up, in the second half, but 1-0 it stayed and three points were pretty safe.

One good save from Craig Gordon is surely to be expected, but Celtic should have won much more comfortably than the score line suggests, and it’s another three points towards Ronny’s first title.

When Rangers were liquidated, I had hoped that the Old Firm would be no more.
