starry plough forza oscar,
Agreed. A box to Box midfielder if such a thing exists and two strikers are needed. The rest of the squad is fine but I fear the price being right on the spreadsheet. I would expect an offer for Izzy and or one of the other defenders this window.
I often wonder what Kris Commons would be like with less bulk. Hold up play less effective but with a wee spark more of pace?
Forster will be gone this summer. Lenny more or less said so.
Adam seems to have one eye on his welsh buddies fortunes. Clearly the plc will not improve deals for players who delivered. Therefore everyone knows what the ceiling is at Celtic
Selling Hooper and Wanyama does not indicate to me that we will hang onto anyone. Peter Lawwell confirmed that selling players is now our clubs main objective.
I would be anazed if that is not how we pitch any deal to any player.
It is my belief that MON wanted out due to the slow lane. WGS got sick and tired of his sqaud being undermined by sales. In fact Sammi and Joe and WGS are of a similar mindset. They helped to deliver millions and improvements in the clubs fortune but get the rug pulled from under their feet continuously. That is what we are. Nothing will change.
If Lenny conrinually accepts being undermined then I will be surprised.
If this window is a flop. I expect him to resign in the summer.

PFayr supports WeeOscar, I am certain how Neil Lennon has reported his thoughts. same goes for his manager at Lierse and Billy Stark. They could all be worng of course. they could also be correct. Either way i’d like to see him fulfill his potential.
He could be a 20 goal a season lazy striker, a complete blow out, or an absolute top drawer player. Looks as though the experts know what they want.

In the interests of balance Neil has bought a cracking backline that deserves credit, a central midfielder who turned into a 13m player and a centre forward in Hooper. I think Biton will be superb but in kissing too many frogs our consistency middle to front has been a poor return for our money.
So I guess I’d say yes I would but we just need to recognise more money for a centre forward with a less risky track record is now imperative. Worth their weight in gold…

A couple of weeks ago some on here and the media were waxing lyrical on DU style of play and free scoring forwards. Suddenly it has gone quiet, lost their last 3 games 4-0, 3-0 and 2-1. Amongst other things it shows how form can quickly change. Whilst we are not setting the world alight we are grinding out results -i would suggest that if the second team in the league were only 3 points adrift of us then results would be all that matters and posts on here would reflect that.

Firstly Happy New Year to all. To the game, I thought Partick were one of the most entertaining teams to visit CP this season. They never gave up and could have had a few goals themsleves. Celtic were poor, not for the first time. Forrest does not seem capable of understanding his best position is OR, take players on at pace get by them and shoot or lay off a pass. For the rest, to often the pass is sideways or backwards. We need to move forward. A good midfielder, or two, is essential, with ability for spraying passes forward, as is a centre forward. This wee chap tried hard, was all over the place, but too often not in the penalty box.

You would have to do a Steve Austin on Kris to make him fast!! I think his game is suffering at the moment as he is under pressure to deliver the goals, quite a few time recently he would have been better to pass than shoot..

The next couple days should be interesting for Jim if he is hosting the show.
The msm’s self interest in a Ranger’s recovery is more obvious than ever, they are used to the wineing and dineing that tax payers unwittingly paid for.

You think a different CEO would help us to attract and keep players?
If Lenny goes in the summer then we’re bak to square one, new man, new players, new style all in time for the CL qualifiers.
It makes no sense not to back the manager in this window if it pushes him out the door and we have to start all over.
Either we are all aiming for the same goal or we are not and that’s the question, I can pout up with days like today but to see the team sold off every season would require us to have a fully functioning academy of players who make the first team, like Basel, their stats work out about three players season from their youth set up into the first team and beyond..
