  1. where is the money going to come from for the rebuild – is it going to be a MON style 25 million which we’ll have to pay for later? We don’t have the ability to deal with outrageous debt like the huncheats

  2. When we get around 30 m for Eddie we will need someone who knows how to spend it……….

while accepting he is getting on, I’d have MoN back in a flash in some role in support of the next manger / coach………..

The huns didn’t beat us today – Collum denied us momentum and the second goal.

Saint Stivs thanks for your reply and had suggested it is our Government to blame was what I was angling at my friend suggests it more to do with the underfunded Police?

    —————-

    Hello,

unless your a polis yirsel, what actions of the polis regarding policing a rangers assembly of fans is underfunded ?

they allowed them to congregate at Ibrox, were after they escorted them to george square, via PRW, “under the bridges” in an orange walk tradition, where anti irish/anti catholic anthems were sung.

there are many clips, pictures, gifs of police officers enjoying the parade. or witnessing crimes in front of their eyes, public disorder, breach of the peace, sectarian singing.

the only part that was underfunded was availabilty of the mounties to clear the square.

Not bad today but not great either.

Lack of proper coaching there for all to see.

I rarely watch Sevco, and have a missed a few of our games against them recently, so today was a bit of an eye opener.

    They are fit and organised.

They are super confident and they how to milk fouls.

    And they are very average.

Attack to defence transition – one trick pony.

They simply show the opposition down one side and diagonally fade their whole team across.

Defence to attack transition. Just one trick involving five guys.

Straight line pass up the middle to either short or long recipient with two supporting players going narrow ( from wide ) to take second ball.

A moderately decent coach will drill us properly and decipher their tactics after just one video analysis session.

    Our trajectory is upwards.

They’ve reached their zenith and are heading the other way.

    ‐————————–

Deserves a re post. I don’t have the same knowledge or lingo but that is pretty much what I’ve seen of them and been saying. They arevlike Walter Myths uefa cup team. One dimensional. Organisation covers many deficiencies. It was always the way they would be able to compete with us – don’t be incompetent, be better than the rest of the spl and play the percentages. It has paid off especially against a Celtic team that blew it.

My abiding feeling for this season is one of regret. If we’d acted in October and changed managers I think we would at least be in a race. We didn’t. So we need to ingest the hurt and use it to get better.

When we get around 30 m for Eddie we will need someone who knows how to spend it……….

    ——

Will be lucky to get £15m as in final year of his deal. A player of great potential but clearly hasn’t been coached well enough, overplays far too much and lacks killer instinct. First thing i would say to him, watch videos of Cristiano Ronaldo, when you get the chance to shoot, hit it hard and low.

Yesterday someone took the trouble to post a Union flag through my letter box with a message suggesting pilots in bombers could use it to ID me, and it could then be hoisted when I die. Am gifting it to the police.

  8. DENIABHOY, AT 3.51,

When I posted on here a couple of months ago, that we should sign Declan Gallacher, after a Well v Hun game, when he headed clear more crosses in one game than our entire defence had done all season,I was shot down with comments like”How low have we sunk, when all we want is a CH who can head the ball clear”

I said today we should have gone with Biton, for no other reason than his height at the back.Again shot down. The pathetic attempt by Ajer to get his feet off the ground, and nowhere to be seen Welsh,at the Hun goal, kind of backs me up.

  9. JACKIEMAC,

Not Frimpong, but Boli is doing OK in Turkey.Playing well by all accounts.

I noticed you advocating Bitton being used the other day, meant to jump in and agree with you, our Achilles heel all season. Oh and no one at the post for bloody corners😱

  11. Big Georges Fan Club - Hail, Hail, Wee Oscar on

Me and Wee BGFC drove through Armadale around 5:00pm today – looked like Shankhill Road. Drunk, fat ugly Hun men and (I think) women everywhere – large groups, all steamboats, flegs, Lambeg drums, etc.

Police? Not a single one in sight (unless they were undercover).

    HH

They are a horrendously ugly lot

  12. BANKIEBHOY1 on 21ST MARCH 2021 8:42 PM

I think the idea of Martin O’Neill is the heart over the head scenario. His age isn’t a problem but the fact the game has moved on a lot and he hasn’t. He’s done nothing since leaving us, his time at Forest was a disaster with the players questioning his methods and man-management and if anyone on here saw his ROI team play…well, they’ve probably just woken from their coma.

Love the guy and is a great part of our history but not today – let’s move forwards and not look backward. Imagine the mirth on here if Sevco appointed Walter Smith. That’s kind of what the MON appointment would look like.

  13. David 17 @ 8:52

Agree on Eduard – I think the very best we’ll get is £12m plus add ons, taking all factors into account. Dembele was twice the player and we got £20m in a pre-Covid market. How much of any fee will be directed back to PSG?

Ivan Toney of Brentford will command £40m if he moves to EPL – scoring in the Championship counts much more than scoring in the Scotland…fact.

The going into debt question will have to be addressed to facilitate significant rebuilding. We are in an almost identical position to when MON left, except our debt will be zero – that offers hope…….is there another Gordon Strachan out there?

  14. lets all do the huddle on

    whoever the new manager is

i hope he watches football outwith scotland

    watching the english football today

all the teams are made up of fit physical athletes

no wee- b(h)oyness to be seen

thats why we do fk all in europe – our squad of wee boys just get swatted aside

and that is why the next manager has a nightmare job

has to basically replace a full squad

and almost certainly wont be given the cash to do it

  15. JHB on 21ST MARCH 2021 9:34 PM

I think there’ll be a few for the off. Eddie, Christie, and Ajer should bring in enough to rebuild if the money is invested wisely and recruitment is spot-on. And that’s the issue, it’s not about spending big, it’s about spending wisely.

Bolingoli will be sold (obviously for a loss) Duff, Moi, Kenny and Laxalt wages freed up and I think Barkas might be loaned back to Greece.

Problem is, we probably need a whole new strikeforce and good strikers aren’t cheap. If Eddie does go and it’s to be Griff’s last season, do you fancy going into next season with Klimala and Ajeti?

  16. lets all do the huddle on

and to those who think we should just ignore the cheating-bastardness of the refs like we seen yet again today

you can stay at the back of the bus then

but our club need to start making a stand against it

    but i suspect we wont

but think of it this way – consider how much money/work etc is needed in our club to get us back near where we should be

well, add a fair percentage onto that to cover the cheating

these are real league points that have to be made up because of it

we should call it out at every opportunity

  17. LETS ALL DO THE HUDDLE on 21ST MARCH 2021 9:36 PM

It’s true. It might be stating the obvious but the SPFL is awful. Yes, we’ve improved the coefficients but that’s down to us and Sevco (admittedly, more Sevco the last two seasons).

Aberdeen never making it to the groups, Kilmarnock losing to part-time Welsh sides….

Despite the fact, we’ve been so bad and we’re god-knows how many points behind Sevco, we’re still 13 points ahead of third-placed Hibs. Speaks volumes….this really was an opportunity for another team to break the top two.

  18. First thing we need to do is replace huns in their box.

Football may have moved on but the SPFL has not and to win the League next year and secure the CL booty we need a sure thing.

There ain’t many of those within our reach, MoN is…….to nip the huns in the bud we might just need to employ tactics as well a strategy – more short-term defo but needs must.

We’ll get Big money for Eddy,………..more than enough to furnish a League win next year.

  19. lets all do the huddle on

bud we might just need to employ tactics as well a strategy

    tactics?

yes please, that would be great

not much evidence of them this season

  20. Important to get someone who can bring in the right players and at least right and steady the ship. Theres too many going out the door – If it’s MoN it needn’t be a long term thing.

Martin’s achievements dwarf The Auld Ned’s.

  21. The continuation lie is one of the biggest travesties in modern sport. They openly protested against liquidation because it would end their history but moved the goalposts when they didn’t get the outcome they wanted. Charles Green bought a basket of assets and nothing more. 55 is a lie.

The refereeing is the most blatant and bent it has been for many years. They are refereed to a different standard to everyone else. It’s another lie.

They lose eight figures millions every year. This year they must be close to £20m in losses. Live within their means and they would do nothing. It’s another lie.

Newco Rangers is a lie. Thousands of people week in week out following a myth, a blatant lie. No amount of fireworks or union jacks can perpetuate this reality.

  22. Thought the huns looked a tired team today, but we weren’t good enough to take advantage of it. We should have be putting their right back under more pressure , as he was blowing out of his arse after about 20mins.

They never put us under any serious pressure until the last 10 mins of game after they made substitutions.

We waited too late as usual to make changes

  23. GeeBee 1978 @ 9:40

Thank you for your response – I agree in principal with what you say. However I believe we will need a new keeper, two full backs, two central defenders, two strikers & at least one winger.

Who will leave? ×Barkas, =Kenny, *Bolingoli, =Laxalt, =Duffy, *Christie, *Hendry *Ajer, *Eduard, *Shved, =Elyounoussi, ×Ajeti, ×Klimala, & ÷Griffiths – only Ajer. Christie & Eduard will bring in fees – in my opinion £35m is the best we’ll get – remember, Eduard & Christie will be in the last year of their contract.

I reckon our loss this year will be c£15m. That may leave £7m in the bank plus our £13m overdraft facility – total £20.

So a total of £55m to finance our rebuild (min 8 player) – will that be enough? Will it be enough to tempt a top/ambitious manager?

The continuation lie is one of the biggest travesties in modern sport.

    correct

but you would expect the hun fans to perpetuate the myth

they are just an embarrassment to humanity

but the worst part was the media who had rangers r.i.p. front page headlines when they died

and have now all backtracked by peddling the myth of continuity to sell papers

  25. prestonpans bhoys on

Well if I’m logged in…..if Kennedy is after the job might suggest he improves tactics and strategies and substitutions😯😰😱

  26. lets all do the huddle on

    Words fail me.

What does their football match operations run book actually say?

    Celtic fans?

    Kettle, harass, arrest, criminalise

    Sevco fans?

    —-

    yes

    that probably covers iy

    but like cheating refs

the club should be calling out the treatment of our fans compared to the huns

but yet again they are silent because it rocks their cash boat

  27. PeterLatchfordsBelly on

20 pts behind a revived hun in the 10 season. Looked the other way on EBTs, LNS and 5WA and whatever financial doping has occurred these past 8 years. Allegedly failed to disclose the truth to shareholders. All because the plc deemed the blue pound worth it.

Worth their rampant supremacism. Fireworks all over the city, mass gatherings (again), banners all down the M8, the Pope’s Wall painted red, white and blue.

They’re back in the ascendancy because guys like Desmond that don’t have to live with the consequences deemed it worth it in the name of ‘the business’. And his willing henchman in Lawwell and Lennon were only too willing to oblige.

It didn’t have to be like this. We had a once in a lifetime chance to put them away, but we brought them back. Because the bigot £ was deemed worth it.

Then you have to read plonkers living 200 miles away telling you you’re entitled blah, blah. A fat cat no doubt.

Let them eat cake, right Chuck?

  28. Understating the obvious and too late at that:

““I don’t want to be overly-critical (about set pieces), it’s something that’s given us a few problems this year, something we’re well aware of.

“But we just have to face up to that and fix it.” JOHN KENNEDY CARETAKER MANAGER OF CELTIC

This was after yesterday’s game. Wish I could say I made this up.

  29. More nonsense:

MON talking up Roy Keane’s suitability as Celtic manager despite the fact that he hasn’t managed in 10 years and before that was conspicuously poor as a manager. Gordon Strachan apparently is worried that is as good as it gets for now. He said: “The only problem that worries me is, ‘can we get any better than this?’ Well let’s state the obvious: there’s the play at set pieces – that could get better; there’s the concentration down one side of the park with Kenny unable or unwilling to head for the byline that could get better with a proper attacking full back or better instructions; there’s the terrible lack of finishing – that could get better; there’s the switching off of Ryan Christie – his awareness could get better, there’s the nonsense of substitutions – those could be better. What is the purpose of coaches if not to help individuals and the team play better. Well I’m sure you have your own grouses. The lesson seems to be let’s keep these old bhoys where they belong – in the past, thanked for their contributions but having no bearing on the future.
