  1. Stringer Bell on

Though we looked a bit tired and leggy today. Bug Eric was a bombscare and a few of our bigger players didn’t show.

    Such is life, it happens.

The point for Bobby Madden’s Rangers will come back to skewer them at Hampden next month I hope…..

You’re absolutely right. In the grand scheme things the result matters not a jot. What matters is the players reacting in the right way and also learning how to take the referendum of the game.

  3. They deserved their point at end , we lost midfield with NR & SA going off but ref was shocking as forecast , thought we got the subs wrong today .

Their tactics were to rough us up as they knew the ref would’nt act and they got away with it all day.

  4. Also, Sky coverage of the game is rubbish. Action going on in the game and they are showing close ups of a player, coaches, coaches to be…

    And the commentary is puerile.

  5. Losing Bitton and removing Armstrong conceded the midfield, despite McGregor’s efforts. Quiet games up front from Moussa and Scott. Shaky game from Sviatchenko. No impact from the subs. Thankfully Craig Gordon had a fine game. Dear me. Sunday lunch spoiled.

  6. Complacency, dodgy ref and bad subs = poor outcome.

Sinclair and Dembele should’ve been hooked, Armstrong and Forrest were our most effective players in the last third.

Armstrong in particular looked like he had another goal in him.

Disappointed we couldn’t dispose of a piss poor team

  7. There will be a couple of trolls & Huns on after that performance, don’t feed them. Every team has a poor performance, so far we have had a magical season, we can forgive our Bhoys one off day.

I sincerely hope all those who enjoyed win after win will be tempered in their response.

  8. We were very poor, bad marking, from our defense, for them to equalise,as for the ref ,can’t keep blaming them,we weren’t good enough,4 players in the Celtic, team, who were not in the game to day,but we move on,and as hill said, those in the media, saying how they Sevco, hadn’t a chance against Celtic,so there is a lesson for us all don’t ,take down other teams,as for the penalty, the man McCann on Sky,will never be positive regarding Celtic, terrible presenter

  9. McCann is tying to find any excuse to justify the unjustifiable.

We are all at fault to allow them to continue cheating us over and over agin. Our board don’t mind. We all turn up and legitimise it.

  10. What Tanner should ask is, if that was Miller through on goal and Boyata cleaned him out the same way, would Rangers (sic) have got a penalty.

I think we know the answer.

  11. McGregor is a terrible player to have in team when you need to defend he never picks up players always ball watching

  12. ....PFayr ..SACK THE BOARD on

Sky engaged in an exercise in sophistry re the non pen

A distinct lack of comment re the Hun tackling in the first half

Incidentally the foul given which led to their goal wasn’t a foul …

    Madden at it all day

Huns celebrating a last minute draw …

If you’d missed the game and watched Sky after the match you’d be forgiven for thinking the Huns won

  13. Thought we lost the midfield when the Griff came on.Too many slack passes today especially from Bitton in the first half, his passes put team mates under pressure,Sinky and Dembele cant be as bad again for us.It feels like a defeat but when we concede so much possession in the last ten minutes an equaliser was always on the cards.I hope this is a reality check,I wouldn`t like to think anybody was taken in by the rubbish spouted by Walker and MacAvennie during the week. The bigger picture is one point nearer the title and take the referee out of the equation in the Semi.

  14. Erik is not much better than Efe.

He has to many mistakes in him for the vital area he plays.

Th amount of times he was wrong side of Waghorn today was shocking.

  15. ....PFayr ..SACK THE BOARD on

A midfield of Scott Brown on his own wasn’t going work

    BR made big mistakes today

  16. BR told Sevco how to set up last week by his comments about St Mirren, why is anyone surprised how they would play or how it would be refereed, he will probably get the semi final and this will give them hope, I cant help feeling we had our foot on their throat prior to this and we have let them get up, 1.0 in a game like this is too close but reading the updates here we didn’t seem to pressure them , why I dont know but BR did not make like for like subs today.

  17. A bad day at the office today i can except that, madhun is a cheat anyone that is suprised at his performance hisnae been paying attention.

As long as we face huns wae whistles his will continue to happen,

  18. ....PFayr ..SACK THE BOARD on

Both CB’s were poor today … Neither will do going forward

Erik terrible in the first half ….as he was at ibrox

  19. Melbourne Mick on

O.K where do i start, referee, well we expected that but Moussa

and Sinky hardly touching the ball KT probably as nervous as i’ve

ever seen him, Broony just never got going maybe it’s a wake up

call before the semi. lets wait and see.

    H.H Mick

  20. We were nervous as kittens in the first 20 minutes but after Armstrong’s goal we we’re ok no more, no less. Poor play, Sinclair and Dembele worst game for Celtic; in saying that the final ball was truly appalling all day.

Madden is a top class (sic) hun and a cheat. Listening to wee Gordon on it really disappointing, how does he know the hun with the whistle was unsighted? What about the hun with the flag where was he looking? As for McCann an odious we poor excuse of a man.

  21. one point nearer the title onwards and upwards ,the title is what matters that will hurt them and the smsm more than us having a bad performance 6 down four to go COYBIG

  22. Win next week and take the title at the brothers of Williams ground.

Still proud to back a Tim

    HH

  23. I know how everyone feels at the moment and I would agree with the comments about our defending and use of the ball during a greater part of the game. But…would you prefer that we won a game or surely you would prefer the situation as it is. Whose sitting at the top of the league?

  24. ....PFayr ..SACK THE BOARD on

What about the tackle on Roberts by Holt ….leading to his chance …

  25. Still unbeaten in the league. Did not play to our usual standard. Still they could not beat us even with a little help from their friend (Madhun). Just have to hump them at Hampden and their slum. Maybe it was a wee reminder that we cannot take the foot off the gas. Bring it on Hail Hail

  26. Brendan has just said that Armstrong substitution was enforced. Also clearly said we should have had a penalty at the end.

Not sure how Eric & Dedryck are keeping Jozo out of the team. Also surprised that McGregor is preferred to Henderson. However I don’t watch these lads training, Brendan does and Brendan is a top Manager so he has his reasons.

  27. We can take some positives

    1) We remain unbeaten

    2) They will have taken heart from that match and be more willing to attack in the semi-final

    3) Their new manager will be complacent about the standard of Celtic he saw today

    4) Their new manager will be under pressure if he drops points and there will be a “Bring Back Murty!” campaign.

We suck this up and move on.

  28. Brendan also had a bad day at the office as well as the team. His usual astute reading of the game and tactical subs that generally work seemed to desert him. I am no footballing genius but I couldn’t understand replacing SA with CMG, unless SA struggling. Me – I’d have hooked Eric at 1/2 time also as he was having a bit of a mare Anywho we were really shite today and still didn’t loose. Onwards and upwards.

  29. Onenightinlisbon.

Not sure where you are coming from with Madden. He was awful.

Clear penalty on Leigh, also Moussa is also fouled inside box, he may have been moving away from goal, but he’s is still tripped. The tackle on Paddy is outrageous, it’s a red all day long for the scissors action. He didn’t even give a foul and we all know why. He would have had to send Holt off. Miller two footed lunge, no action taken. He slowed the game at every opportunity which was not for our benefit. The media spin will now be how good he was as they will be desperate for him to ref again. Celtic/Brendan have to be cute about this. I would like Brendan to say, it was obvious it was his first Celtic v Sevco game and the occasion was too much for him. Failing that just say it’s obvious he had a season ticket at Ibrox.. :-)

In saying all that. Dembele and Sinclair had poor games today as did a few others, but they are our talismen . They are of course only human and entitled to an off day.

The,way the Huns celebrated at the end tells you all you need to know. They celebrated as if they had won a cup because they drew with us.

  30. Pf

The tackle on roberts was a shocker, but no suprise madhun blatantly ignored it
