Absolutely disgusting refereeing. The club need to be vocal after Madden’s display today.

gave it to them when our mid went off – not the same with cmcg in the middle, ref was biased – no penalty and not sending holt off is cheating . still we were poor and we drew with the third team

Our team needs a lot of work still

Pretty poor performance from us, playing like the game was over at 1 nil. Sucker punch was coming a mile off.
peterbhoy on
FT 1-1 terrible performance by hoops given the standard we’ve set ourselves this season
1) Sevco deserved their equaliser- they were attacking and more resilient in the closing 10 to 15 minutes till they scored. They had 3 good chances – and the ref only contributed to one- the Holt chance.
2) We were cheated out of a pen chance to win
3) Scott Sinclair had his first poor 90 minutes and Paddy Roberts was poor too.
4) The pitch was awful

Who on earth would want to play that mob ever
Unfortunately we were as poor as Madden
Very poor individual performances….none more so than from the manager … His substitutions didn’t work today …in fact he got them badly wrong
That’s a very kind assessment of Sinclair’s performance out there. I agree with all your points though.

Just like old times when the huns presented a challenge. They deserved their point today. Worst we’ve played all season. Most of the team off form, big players offered virtually nothing and never seen so many unforced errors. We were anxious. The tactic of piling expectancy onto us worked today. Won’t help them in the semi final.
This team have been fantastic all season and owe us nothing. One duff performance against the Huns doesn’t change that.
Hail hail, six in a row here we come (although all we’ll hear now is Hun cheerleading).

I made one comment to a friend who was going to the game.Taking his daughter and proud as punch. He was lokking for a slaughter, and was astonished when I told him no-way. “Why?” quoth he. Simple answer—Bobby Madden.

Poor performances, terrible substitutions but mainly outrageous referee bias
Atrocious refereeing but we only have ourselves to blame. I think the team like a lot on here thought we just needed to turn up today. To many not at the races today. I’d rather it happened today than the semi-final – a wee wake up call.

No doubt that Mibbery cost us the win but the reality is we were very poor today.
That was the real problem, play well and you take the Ref out of the equation. We didn’t play well & the Ref did the rest.
If there is any consolation in today’s result, it will remove any hint of complacency in the Cup Semi Final.
Also we still remain unbeaten in the domestic game.

Today we saw that Brendan is right we have a long way to go if we are to compete at a European level we were out fought by a really poor the Rangers side with a youth coach in charge. No doubt they had a twelth man in Bobby Madden who was a disgrace but as Jock Stein said if you play well and score enough goals you make the referee inefectual. We need more quality both at the back and in the midfield if we are to improve to a half decent european level. H.H.

When over the Hill is on the end of keeper save then there is something not right
.Ref lived up to his billing and if club do not come out against this cheating then the treble is off as the next hun will deliver in the semi.
Erik was awful and never got close to his man all day.Boyata saved him numerous times.
Sinclair and JF never showed up.
Moussa gets a pass as ref allowed them to pull and push all day and despite that won challenges but was then penalised.
Time for Simo and Kouassi to replace Erik and Bitton to add some steel.
We now know what to expect at semi so should start to prepare.
onenightinlisbon on
Madden had a reasonably good game but got the big decision wrong, no surprises there then.

Well all good things have to end however we are still unbeaten. However a poor day for Celtic too many of our top players well off the pace. Our best player was our keeper who made a number of crucial saves. How many did theirs make? How many shots on target did we have? Worst ref I have seen in a while. Millar should have been off, Sevco goal as a result of a free kick that should have been awarded to us and an absolute Stonewall pen denied when Griff brought down when about to shoot. IMO we really lacked some ‘dig’ in midfield. A Vic W type of player. This result gives the zombies belief for the cup semi and we really need to find our ‘mojo’ again.
bankiebhoy1 on
…….so to win Celtic still need to score 3 goals……..against them.

McGregor came on (as Biton was assaulted 1st half) and did reasonably well
Sinclair, Dembele, Roberts and Griff didnt contribute enough.
Still not convinced with Boyata under pressure
That non-penalty was up there with worst decisions Ive seen

Yes, we were really poor today. Unfortunately Dembele and Sinclair had their poorest games.
However, that was a penalty for the foul on Griff. No excuse for not giving it other than he didn’t want to.

When Broony is the only player we have in midfield along with a terrible pitch and a cheating hun with the whistle well that’s what you get.
Cowardly game by a lot of our players today.

If there is a positive then it is certainly a wake up call for the semi, our big players failed to show today very disappointing but it does not take away our achievements so far under Brendan, a sense of perspective required it is a poor 90 mins out of what has been a remarkable season

In real terms , the result is an irrelevance.
My main concern was the fragility of the defence in the last twenty minutes or so.
They really looked rattled .
Thank god for Craig Gordon who had a number of magnificent saves all through the game.
The fact of the matter is that today WE could have been on the end of a gubbing , not the other way round.
