  1. Hopefully my sleep pattern can return to normal now .

    Thanks Celtic.

    Very relieved.

Don’t know why I was worried

  2. Didn’t we read this week that the police had been given lessons on what songs they had to lift fans for? Cells will be bulging tonight with 20,000 Billy Boy chanters, eh?

  3. The game was robust at times with Celts hounding their opponents but no nasty tackles. Even Elbows Mac gave Kris Commons a nice hug at the end.

  4. Captain Beefheart on

    Excruciating game.

Laughable pitch. Crap stadium. Referee was a joke of course. Tims sounded muted. Sectarian songs aplenty. Polish friend almost fell asleep.

I get tired of those that think referees are biased. They generally do a good honest job. Take today for instance, the pullback when griffiths was clean through, the blatant elbow by elbows on griffiths, Wallace taking griffiths clean out in the box. The push and stamp on guidetti that got thems a free kick…..these are easy mistakes that anybody could make. Wish our support would stop being so paranoid

  6. Lennon n Mc....Mjallby on

Classless Huns and their scabby songbook have the team they deserve.

    Well done Celtic!

  7. EKBhoy

    Not with Thomsons previous.

He was handpicked for this game by fellow hun supporters in blazers.

If they had shame they would be ashamed.

The msm will give him top marks for his performance.

  8. Denia bhoy – it was funny, we bullied them! Just shows elbows and black up for what they are – pretend hard men with no ability. Brown intimidated them. They couldn’t get near biton to foul him.

Lustig and Izzy are both tough enough guys.

    So easy.

  9. Thomson was there to keep the score respectable, as shocking as the state of the pitch. They should be dead, only more cheating which kept them in, it’s in the DNA.

Glad we won but playing them does nothing for us imo.

As my mammy said that hun mob need their mouths washed with carbolic soap.

What has Papa Francis done to upset them?

  17. Pogmathonyahun aka Laird of the Smiles on

I’m of an age to remember being at Ayebrokes when the hun fc (now dead) complained about the performance of the referee. His name was Callaghan and I believe the SFA acted on that complaint and reprimanded/suspended said ref. I don’t think he ever refereed another game that we played against them.

Celtic need to use the video evidence against Thompson and have him banned, he quite clearly saw McCulloch intentionally stamp on JG, never mind the usual suspect’s intentional assault on LG using his usual modus operandi.

You canny beat a winger from the dutch league

    LOL

    ————-

    :O)

Dutch league football is awful, watched it for years now and it’s no better than Scottish football. Strange, as they produce good players I assume all of them leave sharpish for the “big leagues”

  19. For all the Ronny Deila sceptics out there, here is a comparison of RD’s and Neil Lennon’s first 26 domestic matches at the helm…

    Won: RD 20 NL 21

    Drawn: RD 3 NL 2

    Lost: RD 3 NL 3

Scored: RD 58 NL 63 (per game RD 2.23 NL 2.42)

Conceded: RD 12 NL 22 (per game RD 0.46 NL 0.85)

Clean sheets: RD 15 NL 11

Failed to score: RD 3 NL 2

So their respective records are very very similar.

Essentially there has been one match that was won by NL’s team which RD’s team managed only to draw, which we could put down to the 0-0 against Ross County. And that we failed to get the 5-0 win that most of us expected in that game probably also accounts for the shortfall of 5 goals by RD’s team (less than 0.2 per game).

But in spite of losing Fraser Forster and replacing him with a freebie, the defensive record of RD’s team is significantly better than that of NL’s team. Not only have they conceded just 12 goals in 22 league games, but they have yet to concede a goal in either of the domestic cup competitions!

At the moment they are on target (pro-rata) to exceed the SPL record for fewest goals conceded by just 3 goals, but as the team continues to gel and grow in confidence, it might not be beyond the realms of possibility to actually beat that this season!

Keep it up Ronny and the Bhoys.

  21. Colour Blind Bhoy on

Apols if already asked/answered but did we have any good banners at Hampden today to wind up the newcomer fans?

  22. Last paragraph of Daily Record match report:

“However, by then the game was petering out – Matthews came on for Lustig with six minutes remaining – and when the final whistle sounded, Hoops keeper Craig Gordon had not made a save.”

lets be honest they owned us on the park . our team is a disgrace . winning in the stands mean nothing to me ……. im only interested on the park . first half was a disgrace and the 2nd half they took the foot off the gas. reality check for the honest supporter

  24. Did I hear rightly earlier Tom English describe Billy Boys as just a “defiant song”? Someone needs to tell Tom it’s illegal and he’s condoning illegal behaviour.

  25. Looking forward to the Scottish Justice Minister, Police Scotland, the BBC et al saying something about the medley of bigot songs from that support. Pat Nevin, the stage is yours….
