Great result for Celtic today, despite the trying conditions. Pitch was a disgrace, also the referee, if he’s the No1 ref in Scotland, I Would rather have Madden, proper funny referee replace u with an a and it would be more the truth, he was one.

Delighted with the win, don’t buy this crapola that we should somehow be disappointed at not scoring a barrel-load. Can’t fault one Celtic performance apart from perhaps Stokes, who I don’t think is suited to that role. Broonie outstanding.
Pitch was a disgrace as was Thomson. To be honest the ref and the bile from the sevco support (which won’t be mentioned by the media – Pat Nevin?) just reminds me how much I don’t miss playing any team out of Ibrox.
Well done Ronny.

It was a comfortable victory for Ronny Deila’s side in the first meeting between the teams in almost three years since the Ibrox club re-emerged in the bottom tier of Scottish football following administration and liquidation.
Stroll in the park today, with only a dreadful playing surface and inexplicable refereeing keeping the score down. Craig Gordon must be wondering what all the fuss was about.

Just spoke to Kris Commons – says he’s close to signing a new deal. Progress has been made, so looks like a 2 year deal #celtic
THE RULE: Any Celtic player who deliberately leaves the field of play without the referee’s permission or puts his hands behind his ears after scoring will receive a yellow card. To observe this rule in action you must attend a match involving Scottish Champions Celtic playing in domestic football. Please note that in European matches, as they have officials appointed by football associations other than the SFA, the rule will not apply.
Observe what happens when a Celtic player scores a goal. Leigh Griffiths today opened the scoring when Celtic played lower league opposition at Hampden Park and seconds later received a yellow card for the specific offence of a player wearing green and white hoops putting his hands behind his ears. Instinctively, like footballers across the world, the scorer may leave the field to celebrate with his team’s supporters. Every week you see on television players with a variety of goal celebrations with the hands behind the ears version being regularly used. But for the SFA, with a huge stadium like Hampden Park with the supporters so far away from the field of play, it is particularly important that the ears above the hoops are not touched after scoring.
So the SFA are clear: if Celtic player indulges in any gratuitous celebrations with the paying customers the referee shall immediately produce a yellow card. The SFA are very proud to champion their exciting new Celtic Rule and would like to encourage other associations across Europe to urge their referees to adopt this rule should they have the chance to ensure that Celtic progress towards Warsaw is hindered in every way possible.
Next time we will examine the Lee McCulloch – Get Away with Murder Rule. The SFA call it the Masonic Blind Eye Rule…

Man of the match for the zombies step forward Mitb Thompson outstanding for a spell the 2nd half it was a foul if when we crossed the half way line.
A few pints to celebrate as I am hoarse from shouting at that ref. how could elbows not be booked. He is so slow it is a joy to watch him an irrelevenance to the match apart from his fouls.

Craig Gordon will be delighted when he wakes up and somebody tells him the score.
Following on from my earlier Ronny v Neil comparison, if the hoys beat Dundee next weekend, Ronny’s team will actually overtake Lenny’s team, who drew their 27th domestic fixture.
Ronny is winning without wingers. He is winning with a solid midfield of Brown, Biton and Johansson.
His ‘philosophy’ was flawed, and hopefully he has learned. Commons and Griffiths getting starts. No sign of Mcgregor, Wakaso, Tonev, Berget, and only occassional sightings of Forrest. Long may this continue.
While I wasn’t particularly excited about today’s game, I hope that it gives the likes of Guidetti some encouragement to stay.
I am probably more concerned about this transfer window than any other before. We don’t have time in June to find players who can be counted on in July for CL qualification.
And….Broonie. A true Celtic captain. What a performance.
I get tired of those that think referees are biased. They generally do a good honest job. Take today for instance, the pullback when griffiths was clean through, the blatant elbow by elbows on griffiths, Wallace taking griffiths clean out in the box. The push and stamp on guidetti that got thems a free kick…..these are easy mistakes that anybody could make. Wish our support would stop being so paranoid

They will not win championship and will need to win the play-offs to get to the Premier. They don’t look good enough.
With no money, no team, no youths, no scouting, they will soon have poor attendances.

Praecepta, I’d take issue with the statement athe Ref was inept.
I think he controlled the game to minimise embarrassment.
How on earth Griffiths didn’t win a penalty was astounding.
Biton and brown were magic thought both full backs and stokes were below par .
