As the game unfolded, a steady stream of policemen marched around the perimeter of the pitch to take up their sentry positions. On the field lunging tackles went in, with Scott Brown, a brilliant, psychotic Celtic captain, forever amid the rammy.
And, alas, old sores resurfaced. The Rangers support exhumed their dreaded songbook of old. Chants about the Pope, fenians, and many of their other demon-figures all featured regularly. That said, this Rangers support cannot go anywhere these days without being goaded.”

DERRY City’s Michael Duffy is set to join Celtic after the Scottish Premier League giants agreed an undisclosed fee with the Brandywell club today.
The 20 year-old Galliagh lad had two trials with the Hoops in recent weeks during which he impressed Celtic coaches by scoring twice in an Under-20 game against Newcastle United, who had first-choice goalkeeper Tim Krul in nets.
Duffy, who netted 15 league goals for the Candy Stripes last season had also spent a week on trial with Championship side, Brentford who were understood to be keen on offering the Derry lad a deal.
The winger is understood to be currently discussing personal terms with the Scottish club.
His imminent departure means Derry boss, Peter Hutton will now be handed funds to pursue further transfers to strengthen his squad ahead of the 2015 campaign.

My wife who doesn’t really comment on the games . Said the same that craig Gordon’s Jersey wouldn’t need washing . With regards the game , had it been a boxing contest , it would have been stopped . Now for all the guys on here who rattle on about 5 ft 8 inch hardmen, Lasley . And black , discount black from now on , I think he messed his breeks today . Huge well done to the whole team , we did have some who stuck out more than others , but hey ho . If the score being only 2-0 instead of what our play deserved 5 or 6 -0. Calmed the hoards and let one of our own home safely then great stuff , cos they got the message alright . Ronny your starting to get the picture here son , my one regret from the match , as the commentator said ” vvd strolled through the game with a cigar in his mouth ” . This lad will be a huge miss and a set back to us . If it’s only about money , please pl give him it . What a player this lad is . Hail hail . Away out for an orange juice
