Watched sportscene earlier.
Michael Stewart was ridiculed by the arrogant Thomson and odious Sutherland for saying Odsonne’s header was his goal and not an OG
They both also said Lee Miller scored for Livi against Killie yet that was deflected in by killie defender.
Poor Michael,he really is up against it those “two balloons” as he called them.

See just so I get my ‘shortly after 10pm post’ correct, is there any official stat to say whether Eddie scores 2 yeaterday or whether his second, the header, has been credited as an own goal? The BBC site says Eddie, the SPFL site says OG, and t’Official Celtic site doesn’t yet have the score shown in the ‘matches’ section!

Eddys header was going in, it’s sad times we live in when the Huns in the media try and take goals off Bayo (Hearts) and Eddy yesterday … it’s his goal … fact
If the Ross County player didn’t touch the ball where would the ball have ended up ?
Edouard 2 goals yesterday

Jobo- Sportscene tonight had Michael Stewart giving the goal to Eddie and Thompson and the wee boy that presents said it was an OG. Michael Stewart called the 2 of them balloons.
I think Michael is correct on both accounts.

On the ‘own goal’ debate, I’ll try to be objective here. I take the point that if it didn’t ‘hit’ the defender it would have went in. So, Eddie’s effort was clearly on target and normally that means it’s his goal. But didn’t the defender actually try to hook the ball off the line but just mad a mess of it, putting it into his own net? I’m genuinely unsure what’s normally given in those circumstances.

*** CQN PLAYER OF THE YEAR 2019-20 ***
RESULTS FROM GAME #10 – CELTIC 6 ROSS COUNTY 0 (ELYOUNOUSSI (2), EDOUARD, McGREGOR, FORREST, FONTAINE(O.G.))
Game 10 was, for me, our best performance of this season so far. The speed and thought of our players, particularly in the first half, was sooooo entertaining to watch and I couldn’t believe we were only 1-0 up. Our 3 goals in 4 minutes start to the 2nd half meant that our scoreboard properly reflected our control of the game.
A pub question in years to come may well be ‘name the one player that didn’t try a backheel during the Ross County game?’!
A big thank you to the 48 who emailed their votes for top 3 players of the match. For this game the votes were spread across 8 players, the 6 that missed out being Forster, Jullien, Rogic, Bayo, Bitton and Shved.
The votes (my own choices are asterisked) were as follows –
Frimpong: 39
Ajer: 1
Bolingoli-Mbombo: 5*
Brown: 7
McGregor: 16*
Forrest: 2
Elyounoussi: 30
Edouard: 44*
Unused subs – Gordon, Bauer Elhamed, Hayes.
So the players receiving points for the Ross County game are –
Edouard – 5 points
Frimpong – 4 points
Elyounoussi – 3 points
McGregor – 2 points
Brown – 1 point
This means that the aggregate total points are as follows –
Edouard – 21 points
Christie – 17 points
Brown – 16 points
Forrest – 15 points
Bolingoli-Mbombo – 13 points
Jullien – 12 points
McGregor – 11 points
Bauer – 11 points
Elyounoussi – 9 points
Frimpong – 8 points
Elhamed – 8 points
Ntcham – 5 points
Bitton – 3 points
Bayo – 3 points
Hayes – 2 points
Ajer – 1 point
Forster – 1 point
Rogic – 1 point
Our next challenge is Thursday’s home tie against Lazio. Voting will reopen just before 10pm and run through to 10pm on Friday evening.
A very good weekend is almost at a close.

Saw a rewriting of the facts and reality today on STV news. When describing the Sevco 1-1 final score, the female presenter (don’t know her name) stated – “Alfredo Morelos goal in the 39th minute was cancelled out by Meshinos strike in the 6th minute!” Eh? WTF?

I see Hearts are “investigating” racism towards wee Alfredo … did they ever investigate Neil being assaulted ? This is not whatabouterry but canny remember any condemnation from wee Budgie … maybe Neil brings it on himself … and Bada was spot in earlier the refs are letting Morelos away with everything so it looks like he has sorted his discipline… still can’t believe when we pumped them at Ibrox he came on and stood on Juliennes foot intentionally and not a word said … I actually think he isn’t the worst footballer but our refs now give him so much leeway … for the avoidance of doubt he wouldn’t get a jersey for the champions :-)

Hello again all you young rebels.
The aul heid is a bit sore this morning after a fantastic day in
rebel town.
Our CSC and Mornington packed to the gunnels, amazing to see
all those visitors, tourists ect. trying to get into our rather small
meeting place and dancing about to big Richie on the rebs.
Don’t know if some of them knew the words to the tunes but they
didn’t seem to care they were Celtic for the day lol.
Also we had the added pleasure of a young 10 year old ghirl doing
a solo on the fiddle, brought the house down, future star.
The only downside, PADDYMACOZ didn.t make it, that must be one
nasty virus to keep him down.
And whats this i’m hearing? Celtic are top of the league again, well
Quality always shine through in the end.
Just makes it all the harder for me here trying to find a hurtin hun.
