I totally get what you are saying but without prioritising, the Europa is massive for us to attract and even keep players, I think Moussa Dembelle would have stayed another season if we had made the CL group stages but again the league is what matters for the majority of the fans … I would prefer us to win everything but I suppose that’s just me being greedy :-)
No doubt Gerrard will have ‘read the riot act’ to his players

Biggest ‘honest mistakes’ for me were the stonewall penalty (and booking) denied in first half, when Eddie was upended, plus the paltry 1 minute of added time after 90 mins (that’s 1 minute in a 45 in which there were 5 goals and 6 substitutions …
GFTB – I don’t think MD would have stayed and I don’t think French Eddie will after next summer either.
Only my preference to prioritise the league over Europa. I just think if we are fighting on 4 fronts we will not be as effective and never have another chance in my lifetime to win 9 then 10 again, maybe 20 though.😂

I don’t disagree, I think the last few seasons European football has helped us after the winter break as right up to Christmas we are playing midweek then weekend … “if” we make last 32 it gives the players (& fans) that wee extra lift … anyhow one game at a time, roll on Thursday a wee Porto / Celtic double would be nice :-)

In the risk of upsetting a few of you, SG did do a post-match interview and was fair in his analysis. Made no excuses. Said they were lucky not to be 2 down after 10 minutes. Said they did not play well, had no quality in the final 3rd and Hearts played well.

I don`t know why Stevie G was so honest in that interview but honest he was.
I have never met thegi=uy so son`t know what he is like. Were I to judge him on that interview alone, I would think: Top bloke. I wish other managers were so honest.
Whilst on that subjevt, our own manager seems to be a much more relaxed or media aware guy than he was in his first spell with us.
Long way to go in the league but nice to be at the top again if only to stop the constant barage of ` `Gers are top` from the MSSM.

I was just talking of Cosgrove`s effectiveness for Aberdeen but I really don`t think he would be any good with us. The packed defences we play against would, I believe, negate the big fella`s potency.
