Ciftci is being made out to be a worse player than he actually is. A decent player at Dundee united, surely capable of being better with us. However, like a few more, didn’t really play that often. It’s crazy but I think we actually have too big a squad. Bought all these players that we hardly play, such as Allan. Will we even find out if he’s any good. Really disappointed that Ronny reverted to his usual formation yesterday, though really annoyed at the same time at the treatment he’s getting from the press.
I replied to your question earlier if anyone thot that RD would be our coach next season, I think he will and I gave my reasons why.

If I am not mistaken is the Manager of Celtic and not of Nadir Cifcti
So he should be picking his strongest team for crucial Celtic games. Not to accommodate Cifcti
Of course the ostrich brigade will tell us Lawwell signs all the bad players.Ronny only signs the good ones.
Its actually funny in a sad way how stupid and blinkered people can be.

Whereas Ronny never get credit for any good signings. Struggling to think of when Ronny gets any credit, serious on this one :O) Maybe he’s never deserved any :O)

Hello My name is Ronny
I am currently struggling to ride the winner of a one horse race.
I used the term ‘go of his own accord’ , as, IF, he does go, it will be presented as him leaving rather than he was forced out / sacked.
As to where he will go next, I have no idea, but with, hopefully two league titles / four trophies in 2 years, and having proven he can work in a foreign league there will be plenty of suitors.
As for our board, a well run organization should always have contingency plans if a key employee leaves.
When NL left, it was fairly obvious we had paid lip service to the concept.
Right now, without going public, we should have an identikit drawn up of the 3/4 must have qualities for our manager, plus the 3/4 additional qualities, so that IF there is a parting, we can get someone in quickly for, hopefully, CL qualifiers.
If our manager is prepared to tolerate the humiliation of taking what he is given, then he has no place managing Celtic.

There’s only one quality that the board will go for if Ronny quits/is sacked, the next appointment will probably be pretty depressing (in my eyes anyway). At least with Ronny there was an idea of trying something different.

I have no knowledge of who has the final say on transfers so will attach no blame to the coach on that one.
But my eyes provide plenty evidence that he has struggled to implement his system no matter who he has had at his disposal.
To create a team from personnel at his disposal is his remit.
Right now, without going public, we should have an identikit drawn up of the 3/4 must have qualities for our manager, plus the 3/4 additional qualities, so that IF there is a parting, we can get someone in quickly for, hopefully, CL qualifiers.
And therein lies the rub.
That’s the way a properly run club may operate, but sadly history shows that we do not have the recruiting capability to match the support.
At present we are 18 months into a long term appointment, and we’ve probably not told Dermot ( if they could find him ) that Celtic Park presently resembles a match day mausoleum.

*we all knew early doors that something was happening when big Dolph wisnae getting his contract extended. Lenny let us and the club down by bailing oot. Mibbees that’s why he was too busy padding his CV rather than bring the younger payers threw. Kinda backfired when naebody decent wanted him. DD has a lot of contacts oot there. IMHO he bit that hand that fed him..
I reckon it was a two way fall out with Neil, that led to his departure.
The shelf life of a Celtic manager gets shorter, because of extenuating changes in circumstance, e.g. Armageddon. Neil Lennon wanted to buy again after some dreadful recruiting Boerigtter, Pukki. and Balde, the board weren’t for it, and they all fell out, just like supporters.
Neil’s personal circumstances would have driven any soccer coach to look for a normal job, any job was a breeze after the of carrying the cross as Celtic manager.
p.s. having seen him play and heard him speak, Dolph would have been on my No:1’s shortlist.
He’s scored twice as many goals as CKR in the past four years?…………oh wait that’s not what your’e after.

I felt a very negative vibe in the home ‘support’ yesterday. More complainers than supporters in Jock Stein lower. It is transferring on to the pitch. Most of our players looked feart and nervous till we scored the second goal. Much prefer our away games these days. True supporters that get behind and support our team, tend to be our travellers.

Just conjecture on my part.
Dolph probably knew that NFL was leaving and I also think the board knew that as well. Dolph maybe left because he knew that he wasn’t in contention for the manager’s position. I think once Neil left that position changed to one of Head Coach.
Ronny I believe is Head Coach and as such will be part of the football department that decides who we buy.
I don’t believe Peter Lawwell is party to the decision making, but, of course, deals with all financial matters relating to those the F. Dept has decided they want.
I would say the Head Coach, his assistants & Head Scout are part of the group any other suggestions? por cierto.

Something that really winds me up about modern-day football. An attacking player crosses from just outside the 18-yard area, the defender turns his back but extends his arms so he will stop the cross, but then there’s a dispute about whether it’s a penalty – it’s always a penalty guys.

I take you point about supporting the team, whilst i don’t advocate booing I don’t have a problem with letting players know when they are not doing it and are not being brave enough. The demands of the support are what makes the club great, would you not agree?

Only guessing, but I reckon they have given him a target, make the CL this season or he gets his jotters.
