Yes, I know they will be up but will they be up because of the two games or will they be up over the full Season?

In other words will those that have stayed away buy their Season Ticket or simply buy tickets for the two games against them?

If they were going to be up because the Mineshafters want to come and watch the Zombies, I would much rather they the invested in a Season Ticket rather than tickets for just two games. That way there would be more money brought in, rather than the average attendance increase as a result of two games. I would especially like to see their bums on seats for all games, to show they are willing the Team to do their best week in week out to ensure we win every week to show how far ahead of the Zombies.

You will probably gather that I do not want a Zombie Team but if it has to be, I want us to show how far we have come and that they cannot come anywhere near us.

I do not like talk about oldco or a Zombie Team, I will not rest until the Bulldozers move in and until there is no Team playing in the same colours. Unlikely to happen but until it does, to the World they WILL have existed as one entity. You, me and every other Celtic Supporter knows that not to be the case but to the World…well you know the answer. I get so angry when I have to refer to oldco and the impending arrival of the Zombies, my mate CM67 and other mates will tell you how so. If average attendances go up, all fine and good but let it be for the full Season and not just because we play the Zombies twice, although only two games I believe the average for the Season could mathematically go up.

I won’t comment again on the pros or affect a Zombie Team may or may not have on our average attendances with exception of replying to SFTB response to my original post to him.

Again, the account on KDS that Ronny “was not happy with the signing policy” is not entirely accurate.

A questioner pointed out that we had signed a lot of players in recent times and not many were of sufficient quality to be deemed an automatic pick for the team. He was of the opinion that it would be best to sign 1 or maybe 2 players who could immediately command a first team spot.

In his response Ronny agreed that we probably had signed too many players and that hopefully in the summer we could add 1, maybe 2, of sufficient quality.

For what it is worth, and this is only my opinion, Ronny does have the final say on who we sign.

In another question “why did we sign Colin Kazim-Richards”. Ronny said that he had been very impressed when he watched him playing for Feyenoord in last season’s 6 Europa League group games and against Roma in the last 32 of the competition.

He had spoken to the Feyenoord manager about the player and then spent 2 hours in a face to face meeting with Colin.

This scenario is consistent with the one outlined by Ronny at the last meeting of this kind I attended (November 2014).

On that occasion, in response to a question about player recruitment Ronny said that he would not sign a player without meeting him face to face.

He always looked for 3 things in a new recruit :

    1. Attitude.

    2. Run (basically is he fit).

    3. Intelligence (an appetite to improve)

  8. Cowiebhoy

Dena is fine, our wee mum has been a bit under the weather recently and was in hospital for a few weeks so Dena, with all the other sisters, has been visiting her daily so no time for CQN or games. However she is home now so hopefully she will be 100% soon and Dena will be back to her proper place.

  9. CRC…

Now now..You know that you were done by a fine piece of skill

Seen reds given for that type of tackle! ;)

  10. Is there a beauty to the Internet?

I have no idea, my worry is that in most occasions , the people who shout loudest are always the ones who want to change the status quo.

They are not always the winners or are the correct decision makers.

No need to worry about what will happen to Celtic, our club, we have no input. Why worry about something we cannot influence ?

We just have to make a call on what we do with the ” product” we have put in front of us. I am one f the 30,000 or so who will turn up anyway . In the last twent years 10,000 have pissed off, I don’t blame them. We watch third rate players for second rate prices in a poor environment. We have a ruling body who will fail us at any opportunity, a referee fraternity who despise us and a board how treat the fans like shite on their shoes.

To return to a point, amongst many,we as a support have to decide whether to piss or get off the pot.

Do we shout loudly or do we actually take action?

Do we stage walk outs, it worked in a small way for Liverpool. I get the feeling the Liverpool board will not be out of pocket n that one.

I fear that our current manager is holed below the water line and the MSM will, feel tha it is mission accomplished.

My hope is that we have a strategy, which I alluded to a few weeks ago. I feel that we have no option other than to give our current board another spin of the wheel. As I said in para 4 here, what other option do we have?

    Hail! Hail!

The BBC in Scotland ran the interim accounts story with the spin

“ BUT we are in profit only because we sold VVD to Southampton “.

Good that it’s annoying somebody, and keeping us semi solvent at the same time.

Scottish football is broken ( Who Broke It?) and what happened here is turning Celtic supporters off by the bushel. Some label it ‘downsizing’ when it’s a financial reality, in an ever deminishing cycle.

We’ve not got a sustainable transfer policy and we’ve been lucky finding diamonds in the midden, because it’ll always lbe ikely to throw up three Pukki’s for every Wanyama.

There are no players ready from the development side last year, the year before, or the year before that. Keiran Tierney being the promoted token, we’re still using our vastly superior but still meagre resource including state of the art Lennoxtown poorly.

We’ve bought too many players, and developed nothing, the squad is a bloated mess, with not one star player.

Fair play to every man, woman and child who goes, but as cold as it was yesterday that drives more people away than any Chief exec or manager, play March to October, stuff the rules, let people take their kids during the summer holidays, make it worthwhile, any parent who took a kid yesterday needs their proverbial head looked at, it was blinking baltic, when it hits December families have Christmas to pay, we hit January and if you are like me you need to pay for Christmas with the Visa bill….. Why not try and entice people back, summer holidays the wee yins are off school play every Saturday and Wednesday from March to October and Friday night football is magic, okay to our strengths make the best of the product we have, don’t try and compete with Rupert Murdochs lovechild….. The EPL is gash but it is marketed to its strengths, am already looking forward to the Sky snowman and I don’t even watch that mince !

Disappointing to read so much negativity about the club. It has been a poor season so far in terms of progress but I’m a glass half full sort of ghuy so I’ll be cheering in on the team next time I’m over.

I would prefer zombie games were excluded from next LMS.

One of my earliest memories as a child in Partick was asking my mother, “What is that roaring noise mammy?” She replied, ” The only fitba team in the world who will never sign you because of your religion have scored Garry.” That sentence fae my mammy will stick with me forever.

  23. BSR

I agree te squad is bloated with average players, I really don’t know who that is down to, but I would doubt it’s the coach, as has been alluded to, he would rather have quality, so I can only read between the lines on who is responsible.

Had Izzy not been injured, I doubt KT would have been given the chance, so I don’t hold with there is nothing coming through, unless they are given the chance, how will we know what they can or can’t do.

I watched the U19s the other night, there was a couple on show that I would give a run out to, you never know, they might just grab the chance, if they don’t no harm done.

Gordon, thanks for that. I’ve been on this planet long enough to know that some people hear what they want to hear and see what they want to see.

    My predictions for this year:

    1. We win the league

    2. The magic hat fella has already woken up and smelt the coffee. He ‘reluctantly’ accepts a job elsewhere, full in the knowledge that he cannot sign any quality players and is up for a pumping every other week.

    3. McInnes says he has taken this Aberdeen as far as he can and takes his dream job with the huns buying into the same team shite/myth.

    4. Celtic win their first 2 ECL qualifiers and mysteriously blow the group section qualification round.

    5. The Mineshafters continue to Mineshaft and the Happy Clappers continue to Happy Clap.

    6. In November I change my moniker to Bruneibhoy.

Of my 6 predictions I think number 6 is the least likely despite the fact I am likely to be living in said country as of November.

    Hail! Hail! PMTYH.

Best post I’ve read all day you all sing about 10 in a row but let’s just get behind Ronny and the team to get this one over the line can’t believe fans want tic to lose so they can say told you so I went through the years watching when we had poor players but still backed them you don’t no when we are well off

  27. OK,I ask again ,why does the Scottish media want Ronny sacked ?

And why do some Celtic supporters follow follow them ?

  28. GERRYFAETHEBRIG on 14TH FEBRUARY 2016 8:00 PM

Whilst I have no control over the weather I do have control over when I go to watch my beloved Celtic as I can afford to and I live close enough. I just have to wrap up, have a couple of Bevvies and grin and bear it. What would help me keep warmer would be a style of play and Players that would get me excited…:)

Of course, I appreciate that you were only making reference to the KDS post. In response to your question regarding Ronny’s comment about transfer policy, please see my later post.

    THE_HUDDLE @ 7:24…

    Thanks.

It would be unfortunate if it was deliberate mis-representation. Sometimes the message does get distorted to suit agendas.

We have enough people trying to de-stabilise us without our own lending a hand.

While on the topic, I may as well offer my view on the other KDS reported comment about the Scott Allan question (i.e. why is he not in the team – “always trying to play the killer pass”.)

As I recall this question was asked right at the end and Ronny was asked why Scott was not in the team. His response was fairly brief to the effect that Scott was a very talented player who was developing but had some improving to do to in training.

I am sure Ronny did not make any mention of “a killer ball”.
