The Scottish Media has a set Broken Celtic Crest Agenda, regardless of managerial competency, they want that turmoil Headline.
Very sad when Celtic fans unwittingly or otherwise align themselves with Scum, on the basis that they know better than Celtic, cos they know their coach, from their PE teachers.
Get behind Celtic with eyes on the prizes, and we’ll see if Desmond can talk a mad a**e Keane round next time

Obviously Macca is as daft as he looks, in the centenary season he played right back as much as centre forward but Jenny B flashed her thrupenny bits and Macca was off like a rat up a drainpipe so obviously Celtic were lower than a sewers drain to frankie boy the castlemilk tic diehard
The problem with the “Give the player who is poor in training a chance” is twofold.
First, it gives a disincentive to those who do train hard and professionally and it rewards a sloppy unprofessional attitude which will seep into team play.
Secondly, some of the guys who play poorly at training are likely to be poor on match days too. How do you know which ones wil bring their training form to the pitch and which will transform on match days? Ronny gets to see more of the player than we do and has more of an evidence base on which to base his selection decisions.
We see only 90 minutes per week and, for some players, only 10 or 15 minutes against a tiring opposition. I know Scott Allan tries to play earlier passes and tries to be creative but that is only one of the things we need from him. If he does not provide enough of the other skills in the skill set required, he has not earned the right to the jersey, at the expense of a Rogic or a McGregor or Johansen or Commons or even Christie.
As a support, we tend to over-estimate the ability of those who have yet to be tested (Henderson, Janko, Allan and Christie) against those we have seen regularly and see as journeymen (Johansen, Armstrong, Brown) or inconsistent (Bitton, Forrest, GMS). That is the supporter’s preference for new bling over tired tat.
When I was a young player in my sport, I could not understand why a coach would not give me a chance when one of the starting selections was struggling. Only when I became a senior player and then a coach did I understand better. If the guy whose place I was after was a regular 7 out of 10 but was playing like a 5 out of 10 player, why not try me as I could be 5 out of 10 on one of my good days? The coach knew that I could be a 3 out of 10 on an average day so he did not reach for me until the selected player was playing as bad as my average.
We have always argued and disagreed with manager’s picks. Nobody understood Big Jock’s reliance on Tommy Callaghan’s work rate. I used to worship Davie Hay and could not quite take to the likes of Harry Hood who did not tackle as ferociously and was dismissed as a sand dancer. But, after I saw the state of Harry Hood’s legs after the Atletico game, I knew it was me that was young and wrong and callous in my views. Only brave players survived the kind of treatment they dished out back then and Harry Hood was undoubtedly braver than I had given him credit for.
Let the manager pick on his criteria. He cannot pick fan’s favourites because no two fans have the same favourites.

Naw. Ronny is doing some great things at development squad and all teenage Celtic team levels. You accused others of being Philistines about obscure Dublin historical knowledge. You have not got a clue what Ronny Deila is doing daily at Lennoxtown. I do and I back him to the hilt. Ronny Deila is a five year project. Celtic will have a home grown team in 2018.

I agree with FANADPATRIOT, the game has moved on from the late eighties (nearly 30 years ago!).
McAvennie was an established professional having performed extremely well with West Ham. I am sure Billy was more lenient with him than should have been the case (see Ronny and Stokes).
Scott Allan is still learning his trade and I think that this is what Ronny was alluding to in his answer. I do think he rates him.
PS WIll you be available for Saturday 5’s or are you out on the tiles with Frankie boy?

Like everyone else I’d love to be watching Celtic play next season in a league which includes the marvel of a 4 year old club going for its 55th title, with the full backing of the football ‘authorities’, cheerled by the media, and with no publicly dissenting voices from its opponents.
But I don’t think the new farce o’clock kickoffs will suit me.
