Aye Burnley… Is easy to support a team that is about to win the league. But the mark of a true “supporter” is to actually do so when your team most needs it. Your 5.46pm post hit the nail on the head.

where the fupp do we go from here ? Our strategy for 2 seasons + has been to not spend money/not spend sizable amounts – so how can we get ourselves out of this. I’m beginning to think our only chance of ‘success’ is nfl.

Those blaming players are not looking at full picture.
Players are responsible for team and individual performances.
Coach has responsibility to arrange individuals in a team structure suited to players available.
If he is incapable of doing such then individuals performances will be less than their actual ability.
The people who appointed coach are also guilty of giving job to some one who was unqualified for task.
The fans offer vocal and financial support and are entitled to air their displeasure when the coaches,team and directors do not reciprocate.

This is only the 4th time in history that any club or team has achieved this.
Celtic twice before of course.
That they are in this position is in part due to a legitimate financial approach taken post 2004 by our board.
Even when confronted by blatant financial dodgy practise our board and in particular Gordon Strachan and Neil Lennon fought a good fight and enabled what has happened the past 4 years to come about.
The much maligned Celtic custodians have got a fair bit wrong and shown limited ambition in our strategic direction but they have given us a foundation to win 5 leagues in a row and maybe more.
External forces are of course rubbing their hands with glee at the internal war we are currently seeing as many dance the anti Celtic media tune.
As poor a performance as I’ve ever seen,Ross County must be kicking themselves. Here’s my optimistic slant. We will win the league and in years to come the stats will show it and hopefully show a lot more titles in a row. Celtic are shambolic at the moment. The experiment hasn’t worked and accusations of “Cheap option” are everywhere. We played a game on which we could set up a title win and the stadium was empty. This board need to find a good manager and back him financially because no one is fooled anymore.
if rangers were in this league and we were playing ross county to go 11 point clear – the stadium would be packed , regardless of how we had been playing.
The media has devalued the league and supporters have bought it hook line and sinker!
The histroy books will show (hopefully ) – we win 5 in a row, at the same time the board know the fans are not happy with product on the park (low attendance) – now lets wait and see what they do – who they appoint and what funds are made available to bring our standards up.
Lawell knows if he gets this wrong he is finished!
STEBHOY – I agree with you, those banners were at best premature. Once the league has been won fair enough, let them all have it with both barrels, but whilst we are still in a title race now is not the time for the supporters to turn against the team. Suicidal in my opinion.

If other managers want to wait to see if there’s a job in England then appoint NFL. I want s manager who wants the job in the same way I want players who want to play for the Club.

The wiser heads amongst us knew last week that it would be a disaster to keep a manager in the job for the run in after he had been sacked/left; whatever you call it these days.
Celtic fc is in a mess at the moment, a mess created by the arrogant pomp of, both those running the Club & those who pull on the jerseys.
It’s a bloody disgrace & all those involved should be ashamed to show their smug faces in public ever again.

Just back form Celtic Park. Poor Celtic team / dire performance!
However I did not notice any of the board on the park – maybe you had a better view from your seat.

My quick reckoning is that over that period we failed to win the league on 23 occassions whereas we are about to win it for the second time in a row.
No excuse for a bad team or poor strategy from the board however those players are the culprits today.

Some leadership needed. I’m worried that the abdication of responsibility, by those paid to direct the club will see us fail to secure the title. Last week’s decision to continue with Delia, was embarrassing and dangerous. We had similar abdications in January after the County defeat and earlier after our CL/EL horrors.
As it stands a piss poor Aberdeen team is the reason, the only reason why our present calamitous employees could win the league.
Reading between the lines though it seems we are fractured, in management and in the dressing room. Couldn’t be money ie bonuses that is the problem ?
Whatever, we need action, positive and swift. Not in the summer right now, tonight. The rudderless ship is heading for the rocks otherwise. The damage of not securing our fifth title, could just see Celtic’s demise.

On a financial front you are correct. However on a bravery front they have been derelict.
Even when provided with clear evidence of skullduggery they have kept their silence.
That silence has allowed the internal war that our enemies occupy to rub their hands with glee.
Faced with a morally bankrupt rival, a morally bankrupt governance and a morally bankrupt media, we have said nothing. That vacumn of silence gave them ground to occupy rather than slink away in shame.
I can take a Celtic who are not playing well. I cannot take a Celtic lacking moral courage.
If we want to recover we need to start a moral fightback and it needs to start now by revealing the full extent of the cheating that has taken place. No more silence on Res12 no more silence on LNS. There is a clear link between both. There is an SFA needin reform. There is no reason for silence any more.
Their cheating is killing us.

Not sure where you were in 78 when we played Burnley in the Anglo Scottish or lost routinely to Motherwell or St Mirren, or in 80 when we lost 5 -1 to Dundee and then twice at home to Aberdeen to lose the league to them. Or during most of Rangers 9 in a row era when I was driving up each week to see us thrashed by Motherwell in cup semi replays or St Johnstone the night Brady went or loosing 4 nil at Ibrox in 1999 or the Sean Fallon season when Jock was ill or the Hampden season under Fergus ? But standing on the verge of 5 in a row it sickens me to see so many dancing the media tune and pouring fuel on the flames of internal disharmony.
We have a chance of 9 or 10 in a row. That is what worries them most. How exactly have we got to where we are now ?
Piss poor performance from our professional princesses, not for the first time this season, you’d think they’d be playing for their future. So it’s not just down to RD
