    As a child of the sixties and weaned on the Lions, Bertie was and still is one of my favourities and I know he loves the support as much as they love him. However, I think we have a fair bit to go before we can re-claim the title, “best supporters in the world”.

     

     

    Not since 1994, has the disconnect between vast swathes of the support and the club been so wide. Unless something fairly radical happens in the boardroom soon, I can only see that gap growing wider. This is what happens when the plc bit of the club takes over and regards the supporters as cash cow customers to be milked at every opportunity.

    It’s a strange one standing on the cusp of a Historic 5 in a row that 20 years ago was an impossible dream & still feeling like sh*te.

     

    When the Title is secured I probably will feel a bit different but for the first time in my 68 years on the planet, I got absolutely no joy in watching that game today. I stayed watching almost out of a sense of duty more than anything else.

     

    It scares me to think that I might fall out of love with Celtic , but the doom & gloom bhoys have finally wrecked my head.

     

    They say that sometimes things need to get worse before they get better and I’ll hang on to that thought until Swinecastle & we will see what happens then.

    Inept, abject, dire, abysmal performance today. Deila’s ridiculous stubbornness and unwillingness to learn to the fore. He can pick who he wants – what can they do to him? – yet he picks Brown and Biton, who were absolutely dreadful against DeadCo. The atmosphere was silent, funereal, the stadium half empty.

     

     

    Contrast that with Leicester – stadium absolutely rocking, players running full tilt for 90 minutes, speed, off the ball movement, manifest effort. They will destroy us in the international champions cup in July. They actually look as if they re trying to win a league – what are our team doing?

     

     

    Ronnie should go now. He hasn’t corrected even the smallest faulty detail. For 2 seasons, we haven’t had a man at the back post for corners – so if we don’t put it straight to the keeper or can’t put it past the first defender, it is completely wasted. I have watched us lose the ball from our own throw ins hundreds of times in the past 2 years. Do you EVER see Barca, Bayern, Juve, PSG do that? In fact, do you ever see a good amateur team do that?

     

     

    I don’t envy the new manager one bit. He has a huge amount to do in a very short time, as currently we are simply dreadful to watch. The apathy and ineptitude is such that winning the league will be met by huge relief rather than unalloyed joy.

     

     

    I don’t subscribe to the view that “Ronnie is a nice guy – don’t criticize him”. Simply put, he has been an utterly dreadful manager, unable to adapt to changing circumstances, completely at sea, with inept decision making. Last week’s result was the worst for decades. The Board should shoulder the responsibility for selecting such an inexperienced neophyte. Let us see if they go for the cheap option this time.

    Peter Lawell has received max bonus over last 4 years. In 2012 he actually received a long service bonus of over 600k. Added to his 400k bonus he earned over 1.6m in 2012. Obscene as he has deliberately down sized our Team to reach his bonus

     

     

    He made an awefull decision in the wilo window that cost our club about 40m in lost income

     

    He made another awefull decision in the player scouting. Under 25 EPL within two years was the remit our Chief scouts had This cost us huge amounts in wages. This scattergun policy has loaded our wages bill up and we have a massive squad of zero value players

     

     

    Then the Ronny decision. Taken our club back 25 years. Lost about 10000 fans and 40m in CL income

     

     

    And Peter Lawell is still there
