I stopped attending games in 2008, main factor being my outlook on life had changed, since that year more important things in my life than Celtic have taken precedence, I chucked CQN last Sunday (7 days wasn’t too laughable) I have read many differing opinions about renewing or whatever…..if my wee girl gives me the green light I will be the happiest guy in whatever section we are in, I don’t care about Desmond or Lawell just like growing up I didn’t care about Kelly’s or the Whites … By the way for the few that think these are bad times ???????? Away gie me peace
I want Celtic to be the very best bs win every game, but am afraid what we want and what we get are a wee bit different

I came out of the game today thinking, how poor we are . Don’t often agree with the GB , today spot on for me.
Incredible to think we have almost won 5IAR and yet we are shambles, today felt like a pre season friendly.
Next manager has a big big job on his hands.
PL must be getting bit nervous about sending out ST renewals with a 50-100 quid increase through the post in the next few weeks.

Not at all . Copied direct almost word for word of an internet site- much quicker. You just stood in for poor James Fennimore Cooper. I think the vitriol fits better for your unique brand of overheated fantasy. Old JFC was just the Jeffrey Archer of his day- fairly harmless.
You, on the other hand, can cause great harm when there are vulnerable groups to scapegoat and abuse, you can always validate your own inadequacy against that.

Weird situation to be drifting to a historic title with apathy all around. We have been rank for a while with some key players like Brown, Lustig and Biton offering little, although to give him his due, Lustig’s faults aren’t a due to a lack of application. He just looks like he needs to share the season with an apprentice.
Anyways, the positives:
Gordon-solid although shit kicking
Sviatchenko-after a wee wobble 10 mins into the game he was solid. A leader.
Tierney-Not his best day but stuck to his task and always looked to contribute.
McGregor-Lively. Always looking to pass and move quickly and willing to shoot. Our “Spanish” player.

Thanks for the endorsement.
However not mad on your criticism of HT who strikes me as a good Tim.
Happy to debate and always happy to defend my opinions but not keen on personal attacks.
I wonder if you and other CQN ers would indulge me a bit…?
One of my incessant complaints is Lawwell’s total lack of vision. Therefore I am going to send one to him.
How I’d like to go about this is engaging with other fans to build a vision of Celtic in 2020.
I will send him a narrative that will be written in the present tense as if from the year 2020…
All suggestions welcome-
But here goes with a starter for 10
”After a challenging domestic season that saw Celtic claim our second 9 in a row- we are now poised for our assault on European football again.
Having made the last 32 of Championsbleague in the last two seasons, hopes are high that we can take a step in to the last 16 in 2021.
How has this been achieved? Careful management of squad means that Ctic are now viewed as one of Europe’s leading development teams.
The club is now the club of choice for aspiring top level players. The policy of 18 month loans is now well embedded. This has been a contributory factor in Celtic now having a waiting list for season tickets as fans are eager to watch the development of emerging top level talent.
However with a squad now capped at 33 with a stratified 3 player/ position policy, which has built in succession fans are also eager to see emerging home grown talent that occupies 3rd choice in every position. These players are paid Ā£3k week a third of their number 2 and a 10th of their 1 st choice- providing enormous motivation to develop and improve.
Off the field income generation has also rocketed with Celtic controlling all TV rights to their home games. In 2018 Celtic entered a collaboration with STV to film all games. Celtic control
All broadcasting rights.
Sales of merchandise have also rocketed and again this has been achieved through shrewd partnership working with key producers and suppliers. Again Celtic retaining distribution control has paid dividends.
The Board now has 2 fan representatives via election from season ticket holders and shareholders. Main shareholder Dermott Desmond does not have a vote but retains the power of veto.
To date this veto has not been exercised.
Key to achieving much of this has been investment in fan engagement and consensus building around key values of the club which are not too far removed from the principles of the founding fathers.
Looking forward what’s next for Celtic?
Leading the development of a world class ladies team has allowed Celtic to maximise the potential of the biggest growth area in modern football. Women league football has been timetabled for summer allowing Celtic fans year round interest and critically year round income for the club.
The next step is to cement plans for Celtic teams in the Indian, Chinese and US leagues.
Three short years ago none of this seemed possible but with a conserted effort to develop a terrace to Boardroom alliance- the potential seems limitless. It is expected that the commercial strength of Celtic will soon prompt an invite to join the EPL..”

Another positive:
