HOLDERS Celtic will play St Johnstone in the Fifth Round of the Scottish Cup following this afternoon’s draw.
The Hoops are looking to win the trophy for the third time in succession – something the club have never achieved in their history.
Brendan Rodgers’ men will have a dress rehearsal with the Perth outfit at Parkhead on Saturday when Tommy Wright’s men visit on Premiership business.
A goal from Leigh Griffiths gave Celtic a 1-0 win over the Saints in the Betfred League Cup at McDiarmid Park earlier in the season to keep the unprecedented treble treble on track.
The champions hammered the Perth outfit 6-0 in the league in October when James Forrest slammed in a four-goal first-half salvo.
The Hoops have claimed the silverware in the previous two campaigns with a dramatic late goal from Tom Rogic giving them a 2-1 victory over Aberdeen in 2016/17 and Callum McGregor and Olivier Ntcham were on target as Rodgers’ side overwhelmed Motherwell 2-0 at Hampden last May.
