17s beat the huns 2 nil Could have been 4
We ran out of steam the last 10min. They had far better players than us due mostly to their pace and ball control.
How many times did it look like we were through on goal in the second half only to stumble over the ball or make the wrong move, drives you mad watching that.
Big transfer window coming up,Mulgrew,Stokes need to be replaced, MacGreggor lost form.
But at the end of the day we have Europe after xmas.
KTF bring on the Jambos
lhads and lhassies, well we lost at home to a damn guid side. We are in the last 32 of the competition and will play euro footy in the new year(not by our own doing
). Time for ronny now to consolidate and look to bring in a couple of experienced pros and cut the deadwood. If the board get behind him , i think he has a good chance to progress, but will have to be backed in january window.

You know the wider financial perspective as well as I do.
With no change in playing environment we cannot break through the glass ceiling no matter what we spend.
I would rather watch a team trying like tonight than Sutton and Thompson as over paid Impostors in the post Henrick era.
No real drop in standards as we only qualified post Xmas twice in MON era. Both in Europa.
Tonev worth a run – can keep the ball, two footed and a decent turn of pace
Richardson says it’s strange how Chris was critical of Celtic when they were winning, but is praising them in defeat!
Think Chris’ summary was spot on in fairness
Thought we played well in the second half and disappointed with the late sucker goal. Probably in a minority of 1 here but big Virgil looks great in Scottish football but step up a level or two and he struggles a bit. If Arsenal bid £8 million take it and buy a couple of half decent centre backs because the defence is woeful, but would Ronnie see any of the money?
Hail Hail from a sunny Bondi Beach. Firstly happy we are through.
Secondly I dont accept losing 3-1 at paradise. Defending was a shambles, Ambrose is a bombscare.
I’m not sure what to make of the team as it really is hit and miss. Is RD the problem or is it the lack of investment?
I have no idea but I don’t think we are a good team at this moment.

When i read your posts, all of them ,I thank God I have an electric shaver, oh, and a belief in my club, CELTIC!

How boring it would be if we all agreed on everything. Ha ha.
We have a post Xmas European draw to look forward to for only the 6th time in 34 years.
Pedro
Hehehe there are still a few good tims here -like yer good self
Pog
Good point. Probably not. naw definitely not

Burnley78 as ever can’t see straight. We would laugh at th Huns for that sort of blind loyalty.
Ronny the luckiest manager in celtic history? But is just a disaster waiting to happen.
Everton Spurs Liverpool – the dreaded cliched Battle of Britain methinks
Next round Last round. Bye Bye Celtic Goodbye We are Shite
Well, apart from the score, I thought that was a really enjoyable game. Poor start, but we controlled the game last 15 mins of first half and first 30 mins of second against a very tidy side. Wish we were a bit more clinical last 3rd, but we’ve got JG now.
Callum worked away, but was ineffectual, Griff ran his arse off. Broonie an Johansenn had good games, charlie – a few woeful balls but we underestimate the strength he brings to midfield, which told when he came off I thought.
Izzy mom for me, he’s tireless, never hides and plays that wing very well.
I have supported Ronny all season as I am sure you will all have noticed.
This upcoming window will be his watershed.
Get the players in YOU want

Hear! Hear!
Congratulations Lawwell fans, well played tonight.
Celtic Park shown world wide with top teir shut and shown up by an Austrain team while our captain is unable to do a thing about it or was expected to be able to do a thing about it.
Well done Lawwell fans, tonight is all about you, thanks for supporting this power crazed ego maniac mad man.
You have supported the death of good football over bonuses while distracted by an irrelevant now dead club.
F sakes, CQN, I expected better.
TimJim
Bye bye you are shite as well!
Now, don’t post on here again.
You have been warned. Rant tomorrow and the manager isn’t getting it.

Everton Spurs Liverpool – the dreaded cliched Battle of Britain methinks
Bring them on Spurs first.
Well, Tonev gave the guys a spark when he came on.
Beat but through. Again:)
MULGREW NO MORE .
Chris Sutton saying we deserved a draw nearly praised the team.
We did on 2nd half performance.
Go on the tic
You’ve got to keep a grin on your face when this blog is bursting with huns pretending to be tims complaining about how bad we are as we sit proudly at the top of the league, still in both cups and with European football now guaranteed into the new year. We have a new manager who is implementing a complete change in football philosophy at the club with financial constraints that managers in the last 14 years have not seen.
Meanwhile over at castle ‘webuyanyclubs’ well… I don’t really need to go into it but lets just say that they ain’t doing well.
We ARE getting better, it will take time, we are Celtic and we are going to absolutely pump you when we meet you… and you know it.

Only 6 times in 34 years have celtic appeared in post Xmas euro action.
Good that even in such relatively successful times Celtic still allow you scope to vent your anger.
Jimtim,
Is your name traynor ?
Philbuoy, a bit harsh and testimony to why i post less often.
Good for you if you’re happy with what you’ve just seen. The manager’s stock is deeply damaged after the the CL qualifying fiasco and erratic performaces since. We are through to the latter stages of the Europa league and if we’re top of the league and he beats the Hun covincingly at the end of January he’ll give himself some breathing space. If fat Sally’s team beat us (remember the ref is a helping hand) RD’s position will be untenble.
Just my opinion.
p.s. would love to meet up so you could call me a fanny to my face.
Best etc.
The blogger.
Part of our problem is that when Denayer or VVD get injured we have little option but to play Efe in the middle. That is not what we would choose to do but our lack of depth restricts our options.
Our only other choices are Mulgrew, who is no better really, especially on current form, or Lustig, who seems to lurch from one injury crisis to the next.
Unless the purse strings are loosened in the next window then that won’t change.
With what we have we can probably clean up domestically and go a bit further in the Europa if we get any good fortune at all in the draw for the next round.
In all honesty that is probably not a bad return for RD’s first season in charge.
Just my 2p worth.
Guidetti, Lustig, Denayer, a fully fit Forrest…. Added to the team will make a difference …
Hopefully for Xmas , there will be a couple of January signings.
On tonight’s showing Tonev is possibly worth some game time.
Burnley78
Yes we remember when getting bye Christmas was a rare luxury
From small acorns…
I think McGreagor is fine with the basics. He presses well and picks up good positions, but he rarely inspires. Forrest came on and he was immediately taking on players and playing forward passes. Having him back will help us a lot.
Tonev should get a run out left. Stokes isn’t involved enough.
thomthethim for Oscar OK
22:06 Good to read a sensible comment, thanks. You know I thoroughly enjoyed watching that,a great game of football which we lost but both teams had a go and loads of pace and skill on show. Some folk just love to moan..
Some folk on here have genuine concerns regarding our plc managed downsizing, on and off the park. Others like to point out there’s no Huns in Europe.
The Huns died, we need to focus, change the plc slide strategy and effin grow as a club.
Sick club needs change CSC
Philbhoy
So you were happy with that tonight
Wasn’t happy with VVD tonight. But TONEV was a surprise… a good one. Maybe even better to come from him.
