  1. West End of East End on

Saint Stivs – Cheers, forgot about the taxi’s, worked with him a few times during the years, could be a PITA some days, great guy the next….

  2. Stars

    Just cos I do.

You wouldn’t believe me if I told you, anyways, I have posted many times how it works and still there is the ones who believe the coach decides, tho I have to admit, it does seem to be changing, which imo is a good thing, our scouting system has been pretty woeful for some time.

  3. Dallas

Scott Allan’s accurate passing could make the difference for SS when he returns from Getafe. Did my second team get beat by Espanyol tonight? Last I heard Villarreal were down 2-1.

  4. What is the Stars on

    Tricoloured

    Paddy madden? ?

Saw a fair bit of him when he played for bohemians in the league of Ireland a few years back ,celtic looked at him then and decided he was not good enough. I agreed. However it’s possible that he has improved

I am pulling your leg, we all want the best for the hoops, by the way av got a daft fiver on CueCard to win the triple crown jockey thing…..in your opinion (when it comes to horses there is none better) can Cue Card win the Gold Cup ?

  6. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Gerry, that’s why my blood pressure is higher than it should be. My glass is always three quarters empty.

  7. What is the Stars on

    Exiled

Tell me how you know and I will tell you if I believe you.

I personally think you can’t possibly know. ..but you could convince me

    Delaneys Dunky

I read back this morning, like yourself I wanted Aberdeen to win, keeps our team on their toes, I would prefer Aberdeen to win every game because I know Ronny & the bhoys will kick on, don’t like the 10@row song but at least I know it will be 5 and that’s more than I have witnessed (so far)

  9. west end ,

Agreed , later day huns ie souness era were the worst , superior wee ara peepul

stuff seemed to come to the fore wi them , guys who went before that were ok ,

  10. Dallas

Maybes, some players just don’t seem to settle, as I said earlier, he didn’t want to be here in the first place, he was all set for a move to Getafe then it fell through, he got his wish in the end tho.

Madrid or Glasgow, no a hard choice for most footballers.

  11. Happy to report that I survived the Blane Valley Casuals’ attempts to Talliskerise me beyond blooterism and arrived home safely. Enjoying a nightcap at the moment.

Thanks to all for a lovely day. Will post tomorrow.

    Oíche mhaith.

  12. Tricoloured Ribbon on

    Now this will be controversial.

People who went to St Aloysius from Clydebank always, and I mean always, thought they were a cut above you.

For those who don’t know,it was a private school.

I dare say there were a lot of good lads at it.

The ones I knew from Clydebank were balloons..

    St Pat’s Dumbarton……now yer talking….

    Cue card ,5 at 100/ 1

Excellent bet. Of course it has a chance.

It’s a very open gold cup

  14. Stars

With mucho respect, I couldn’t give a toss if you believe me or not, I know what I know, and that’s good enough for me, I trust the people who told me how it worked~works.

One works for the club, the other heard it from Lenny.

  15. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Bada, I have a real bee in my bonnet about McLean and Murray Davidson , particularly , after their non-applause in their guard of honour in the last game of the 2012 /13 season.

    Very disrespectful to fellow players.

  16. Celticrollercoaster supporting Shay, our bhoy wonder along the way on

Congrats on getting out of BV reasonably sober :-)

Aye mate, I always moan even when we win its just sour grapes when we moan about refs and lose. The Club sits on their hands game in game out when we get cheated in every game. The Bhoys sit next to me must just sit and say “shut up” we know. lol

    WITS,

    Hope yer well comrade.

I mentioned O’Halloran might be a late developer.

I think Madden may well fall into the same category.

    Two brilliantly executed goals today..

As a wee bam my mother (who I know was the best person put on this planet) used to threaten me she was sending me to St Al in the toon……we hardly hard two coins to rub together , although I didn’t know that then, see if she could have worked the hours St Al would have been her 1967

  20. GFTB

I was born in 1965, the first nine years of my life Celtic won 9 in a row. I thought that was just the way it is. :)

  21. Is this just banter or are they really speaking to Mick’s people. Never done much today tbh,

  22. West.

Pats glory days were definately dalrymple street.

Cookie was a curly haired stinky real Hunnish hun.

Good footballer by the way. But his life was rangers.

He was working on the kitting. Me and pat feeding the lines.

    Quiz time.

    Cookies turns to ask.

Who was the youngest player to score the winning goal in a league cup final ?

    Derek Johnstone.

What is the record attendance for a home game in Scotland.

    Rangers 118000 beating Celtic 1937.

Who scored the goals when rangers beat dynamo

    Blah blah blah.

    Pat.

Ffs cookie rangers rangers rangers. Do you know anything about football . or only rangers.

    Cookie.

Pat I am a rangers man. Thats what I know. I know more about rangers than you know about Celtic. Ask me anything.

    Pat.

OK. Who scored for rangers when they got beat 7 – 1 by celtic

  23. Winning Captains, enjoying their pain:-) hopefully a good striker will be with us by weeks end.

Almore, congratulations, s fine feat of endeavour, getting out of the BV in one piece is impressive sir.

  24. CRC: Very judicious use of the word ‘reasonably’!

Enjoy your year with the AICSC:-)

Hamiltontim: Hope you enjoyed the umpteenth anniversary of your 21st birthday. Congrats on the Celtic Trust recruitment drive today.

  25. DD, I remember running around the school playground singing,

    “It’s magic, it’s gonna be 10in a row”

Didn’t know what loosing a league was.

  26. Gerryfaethebrig on

    KLV

I moan more when we win, the penalty Collum gave for Broadfoot was a total joke but we got beat so don’t like complaint, but in any other country the ref would have been hounded for giving a penalty with his back to the blinking incident, maybe that was him climbing the ladder, he taught at St Ambrose and my wee niece who knows heehaw about fitba said what’s Mr Collum doing at the Celtic game he told us he doesn’t even like football ……

  27. Tricoloured Ribbon on

    Saint stivs,

Who scored two goals for Morton against Celtic and was on the receiving end of a 7-2 thrashing?

    Hahahaha

  28. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Brogan, i had to write ad majoram deum glorium, in the margin before I did any written work in my jotter. I think we only had to do this in first year.

You are right about ad majoram natus sum.

I hope you are keeping well and your cowboy boot collection continues to grow.

Tricoloured Ribbon , there were three guys in my year from Clydebank, one lived round the corner from St Eunan’s school and the others just off Mill Road. I wasn’t particularly pally with them but they were ok guys. I think they were more bothered with me being from the Drum (smiley thing)

  29. Saint ,

ha ha can imagine patrick giving that answer , by the way , whos cookie ?

    do i know him

  30. Doc: It was difficult saying goodbye:-) Great crew and true Celts. Typical of all the CQNers I have met.
