Ole is probably too nice for the job he has. He looked close to tears walking off at the end. Spent a career as a real team player, often on the bench when he could have gone to most other clubs and been a guaranteed starter. Must be hard for a guy like that to get inside the entitled heads of the super rich spoiled brats of players he has in his squad. Probably too late for him but man United need to rid themselves of some of the bad apples in their barrel. Pogba for me is the most prominent among them.

Both blind faith and constant criticism are wrong . Balance is possible but the reporting of Celtic in Scotland leads me to favour commenting on the positives about our team.

I agree re the `crazies` but I think quite a few others are just negative Celtic supporters.
They say they are not influenced by the Media et al in Scotland but we don`t live in a vacuum and, whether we like it or nor, we ARE influenced by external `forces`.
In terms of goals conceded, we are currently joint lowest in our division but the general view still seem to be that our defence is a sieve.
Right, just about to watch Sportscene and see how one of those `forces` present the weekend`s games.

Although he has his faults (as indeed we all do) big Souey, to be fair, has always distanced himself from bigotry. However, given that he was losing his hair some 30 years ago, that’s a thumper of an Irish jig he sports nowadays. Looks like he’s had it touched-up since the last time he appeared on Sky. He resembles Dick Van Dyke when he was the baddie in an old Columbo episode !

Brendan out grew Celtic because, Celtic’s standing as a club has been carefully diminished by PL, PLC board, DD, who collectively have to balance “two” clubs off the books, to maintain old firm rivalry as that is the parochial extent of Celtic executives vision for Celtic and its easily milked supporter base.
When I say “off the books” what I mean is, if Celtic fc are required to “throw” the occasional league title to help Ibrox finances then that is what they’ll do.
They have form don’t forget Walter’s 3 in a row, 2009, 2010, 2011, all in an attempt to keep Rangers alive, whilst Celtic PLC board sat in the directors box, “looking the other way” during 3 season’s of “honest mistakes” and of course last season 2021 and fans hopes of 10 sacrificed on the well “oiled” old firm altar !?!?
Probably this current season as well 2022, till Ibrox gets the £40 million European money, yeah?
So, if your Brendan Rodgers, would you want to associate your professional career long term, with a club who’ll “throw” a league to keep their old firm associates (because that is what they are) alive and financially breathing?

Would the attendance figures for the nine in a row season not have shown the Board that the `Old Firm` is not a financial necessity for Celtic? I realise that, without Sevco, TV interest would drop but, as far as I am aware, TV money is not really significant in Scotland.

The last time that happened 30k fell off attendances.
If it happens again for 5 years it’ll be different this time.
This time fans will be aware of Res 12 betrayal, 5WA betrayal, PL pretending to leave, and many many more.
So it might be only 30k actually paying for tickets this time not 53k like last time?
Its a mess, and in 2005 MON warned us that the “Slow Lane” would now be in control with PL controlling “all” finances, transfers the lot.
MON warned us and Celtic fans smeared him as a dinosaur, a long ball merchant.
Yet two years earlier MON and his team had 100k Celtic fans partying on the streets of Seville?
The “Best Fans In The World” had now become curtain twitching sweetie wives.
They are now way worse than that because they have no leaders at the club on any link of the chain of command, the club is effed because fans have forgotten who they are meant to be.
