    What a sad indictment on this country that our manager may feel the need to move elsewhere to protect his son from the hatred and vitriol he has been subjected to. I really do hope that this is not the case.

    Moyes supposedly getting £33m at Man Utd and pocketed over £18M from his time at Everton. Isn’t Neil on that rolling contract that MON devised so he could go to a top Premiership side? Neil got the job only because BTM made such a mess of it and because he was cheap. he has proved himself as a manager at a huge club and he had had to deal with stuff that no-one else in world football has had to. I’d get him on a five year deal. He could take us deep into the champions league. Maybe I have been influenced by spending most of this week working on Willie Wallace’s fabulous book and appreciating what our Celtic can achieve.

    While we are speculating about who our next manager should be can we discuss a replacement stadium, replacing the seats with blocks of Turkish delight and hover cars to take us to the game replacing trains and buses- or are they just fantasy?

    What exactly is Andy Walkers problem with Celtic? Serious question. Must be something I missed. His comments today re the elbowing incident were just too ridiculous to be considered as simply uninformed. “The Celtic player should be experienced enough to protect himself from an elbow to the head?” Wtf?. Walker is an odious creep. No idea what his issue is. Perhaps trying to ingratiate himself to the dark side? Why?

    hate when people throw in nonsense about lenny’s concerns for his own and his family’s safety. funny how its not an issues before the speculation i.e. its not something driving him away, but when there is speculation be might leave this stuff surfaces. if lenny was so concerned he would have left already

    If that happened to any of us we would be concerned for our family’s safety.

    Don’t know if its already been mentioned, but the guard of honour from St Johnston was a disgrace. Half the team stood with their hands behind their backs.

     

    After the elbow incident, don’t know how Fraser Wright manages to stay on the park any time he plays against us, will he be pulle up by the beaks since it was replayed a few times, or is it just our players who get done?

    so you’d give him a five year contract, I don’t disagree the longer a manager is at a club the better and lets be honest winning the league for the next 5 years should not be beyond him.

     

     

    I don’t know lenny’s salary but I would guess it is heavily incentivised i.e. on league, cup and European participation. I don’t know the going rate but I would be surprised if he is earning less than 500k per year before bonus.

     

     

    don’t think celtic would go beyond 800k per year, which would see him walking away with 1 million + a year after bonus payments

     

     

    is that the going rate or should we match the wage everton etc… can offer?

    Noticible when singing the National Dirge at the FA cup final, the cameras never passed down the ranks of the two teams.

    So you can qualify that it’s none sense then,

     

    There are people on here I trust, and one of them told me last night that Lenny’s son has been made aware of the hatred his father has to deal with.

     

    I don’t know if its fact, but I’m willing to trust the source, now if your kid was getting dogs abuse from other kids about you, how would you deal with it ?

     

    Now to the crux, my intention is not to excuse Lenny if he goes, cause IMO he has earned the right to do exactly as he pleases, needs no excuse, I will also be clear I think wild horses wouldn’t drag him away, but if reports are true, then a greater force than wild horses is tugging at him, so don’t be surprised.

     

    And as I said earlier I tip this new comer NeilLennon as our next manager

    I don’t know what measures are in place, but I’m guessing there will be some. As recently as this month Lenny has had threats, albeit on Twitter, but given the background I’m sure the authorities will be taking that seriously.

     

     

    What may make a difference is if his wee one feels more constraint as he gets older and begins to take in more of what’s around him and, possibly, what other people say to him. Someone mentioned this earlier. It makes sense. Pressure on the wean means pressure on the parents. Same in every household.

     

     

    As I said earlier, the obvious answer, as far as I can see, would be for them to live somewhere else within easy enough reach and for Lenny to commute. It worked for Lou Macari.

    if it was due to serious concerns for his families safety he would not wait two years and until he got offered a job in England with better money, he’d already be away.

    What a difference our captain and James Forrest make to our team. Here’s hoping they are both playing in the Final, along with Kris Commons. We played some class football today. Augurs well for the Final and next season…

    Delighted to see Broonie back today, IMHO he makes a massive difference to us.

     

     

    Dont know how many Title days I’ve been at but today was just as if not sweeter.

     

    Before I went into game today I had the priveledge to meet some Bhoys from “The Kano Foundation” in action today.

     

    I think they arranged to get 47 kids to the match today, the joy on the faces of the kids as the got their parcels and waved their flags on the way into the ground was a joy to behold and is everything that our club and celtic family is built on.
