Livi will need to win at least 2 to be in top 6. One of those is again at us.
Dundee Utd have easier games. St Mirren has a game in hand. Hibs also easier games.
I still reckon it will be st Mirren and Tannadice for the league decider. 4 of my favourite ever Celtic league wins have been vs these 2 teams. 3 of those were away from home. Hearts / Livi or Hibs and Huns will be out home games.

That felt comfortable tonight despite a fairly frustrating first half , partly because St Mirren were even less of a threat than Hibs were ….. something I thought I’d never see .
Another thing I thought I’d never see is us scoring from a corner!

Nervy game.
Hard to break down 10 defenders, but thats what we have to do.
There was a lot of running off the ball, but our defenders didn’t chance the longer pass.
Back four were decent, Taylor is certainly improving.
Juranovic is the real deal, top class.
McGregor is at his best when he plays forward, Bitton is the man to play behind him.
Hatate has to earn his way back into the first 11.
Rogic (did well) and O’Riley (decent game) have nw to fight for a place.
Maeda doesn’t seem to be the answer, but Gio and Kyogo will be looking to get back in.

His crossing is shocking — more chance of taking out someone in the stand opposite than creating achance.
JF’s one mistake tonight was his attempt at a cross from a breaking ball.
Looked shocked that the ball had reached him and ballooned it up in the air.
Good win but we get pushed about too easily by thugs like Gogic.

The control over the game was absolute, as it was on Sunday. But the place is a bag of nerves and anxiety because we quite simply lack individual quality in certain areas. There full backs don’t offer enough going forward, we get into good areas but end product is poor. Taylor takes too many touches on the ball and ends up passing backwards because he cant sort himself out. Its a huge problem and affects the flow of the game. Maeda works so hard but looks very average and powderpuff between the sticks. O’Riley isn’t influencing games enough, too passive and not enough end product. Too much of the game is in front of him, he needs to break the lines more and get in where it hurts. Hatate has lost his way, too many stray passes and poor body language.
Kyogo and Turnbull could make a difference, particularly the former.
Sunday is massive now. We need to find a way to dig out 3 points.

Starfelt was excellent tonight. Yes we huffed and puffed a wee bit at times but St Mirren offered nothing and I was always confident the goal would come. No way were we gonna have 2 no scoring draws in a row. Same type of performance and result on the plastic pasta abomination and I’ll have a beautiful Sunday.

A far better second half…..the team visibly lifted after the first goal ….a neutral would have thought it was easy and only a matter of time !!
Its natural to worry….but sometimes its just a little bit mad ….
Torturous to watch when your opponents tactics are simply to stop you from playing, with little effort to play football themselves whilst 0-0.
I can’t say I was surprised by how tonight’s game played out (having predicted 2-0).
I thought Starfelt had a solid game tonight.
Some of our flair players (who we rely on for creating opportunities) struggled against the packed defence.
Unlike some, I don’t think the subs changed the game. Goals change games. By going 1-0 up, St Mirren then had to change their tactics completely. We could also relax more, knowing that we had the lead. This, opening goal, changed the whole perspective for both sides. Then we brought our subs on – which helped us stay in control, by replacing tired legs with fresh legs.
Hart was never troubled, remember.
Onwards to Sunday, and another, different challenge. I don’t expect Livi to sit as deep as our opponents did tonight. Livi will be in our faces more. Physical challenges. Ball in the air a lot. Livi will punt the ball forward and look to muscle us out of the fight for 2nd ball. Pitch always seems to play narrow at Livi, which limits the space that we often crave. Not to mention the plastic surface which I’ve never seen a technically gifted side flourish on. It’s not conducive to playing silky, skilful football.
Sunday could well be another torturous 90 mins viewing. 3 pts the prize (again).
I’ll take another 2-0 win for us, like tonight.

Eight of of the twelve teams in the league are now playing the way St Mirren did tonight – ten outfield players behind the ball 90% of the time and retreating to have ten in the last quarter. We find this hard to overcome. Credit is due that most times we do, but it is infuriating to watch. It is these types of games, starting again on Sunday, that will ultimately decide the title.
Until the goal tonight, it looked like the chore of coming up against these packed defences was draining the confidence and blunting the skill of all but our back four, who had virtually nothing to do but continuously recycle the ball.
Goals change games, if only we could get more early ones.
The Japanese Bhoys are struggling they’re not alone. Calmac only started to influence the game when he changed position tonight.

Interesting heated conversation between ex Rangers (1872 – 2012) player (Sevco rep) and present Sevco player agent as to why “they’re not trying a leg”. Agent makes clear FIVE of the current squad want to walk off during an away fixture to make the point re racism. Ex player and agent argue about “racism”. They then calm down and agree it’s not racism but sectarianism! Agent claims the continuous “**** the Pope” chanting is having a negative effect on at least five of the Catholic Sevco players who want to walk off on one game before the end of the season to make the point taking the knee is not just a gesture. Conversation then turns back to racism v sectarianism. You heard it here first.

We got better as the game went on which was encouraging, finished looking assured at the back and confident and likely to score more. Important players to come back, others showing improved form.
Long way to go still but at the moment they say they’re more likely to drop points than us, they’re playing poorly and turning on the manager, which we most certainly aren’t.
Big game for them against Aberdeen on Saturday, the pressure is far greater on them than us coming into the weekend.
At risk of being accused of obsession, I must confess 8 can’t resist checking the sevco starting lineup and bench for signs of A Ramsey. Missing in action again tonight. Down to 9 league games to go. Half the amount of league games they paid £2 million to have him play. Good grief. Good night
You seem to know everything and anything to do with Celtic anyway even from that distance over there in your 3rd world retreat.
