I thought the subs tonight, gave us a bit more energy, which is a wee change for me

  2. Well done Celtic.good 3 points

Well done Ange.great put down in aftetmatch interview.

    Hail Hail Brothers

  3. Burnley,

Your very welcome to it.40 YEARS,I followed them everywhere,so deserve my view.Anyway,as I said,it was for Brian F,but you are welcome to show your fekin jealousy as well.

3rd world country .Lol. How is your life. You would swap mines in a minute,ya clown. After your vaccine crap,I figured you as a clown.

  4. Hard game on Sunday. They are playing well. Will be jubilant if we take 3 points there. It will go a long way.

  5. !!Bada Bing!! on

Shelley Kerr looking particularly attractive tonight, I’m sure she will be back at the same barber, before her shift on Sevco TV on Saturday

  6. Jeez that was a long day,6 to 6,then onto my brothers pre game for 5 mins and a walk down thro Tollcross and Parkhead X and down by the forge to meet up with a few cqnr’s at the corner

A drench night and and next up am in beside the madskwad in my row in 106.

we were not playing 1st v hun full jugular mode(am I a supporter or a spoilt ginning bassa?) but as glendalys pointed out we controlled the game.i would like to see more shots, but I was content at half time thinking Tom may be on.Tom did make a difference imo,I know big ccv got goal and motm, but I felt starfelt is getting more confident as game went on,ach loads to be smiling about,we got a 2-0 victory and looking forward to Sunday.

    Ta Mr&Mrscrc for lift hame

Lot to be positive about in football sense.

    :-)

  7. Thought Shelley was Teuchtar.Dons or something like that.

Rob Mc Lean was the biggest shock for me.Aberdeen fan.Commentator on Reds TV,into the bargain.

Dearie me,how wrong can you be.Listening to him commentate on Huns games,I could maybe be excused.

  8. Never mind Livi.Ross County not a gimme.Hoping the Don’s get a shock at the weekend. You can hope.Did not expect the Well result.Dons usually lift their game,so here’s hoping.

  9. Few unconnected thoughts.

    MotM – Juranovic.

Read back and see comments like, this isn’t working. We need a plan B.

And yet plan A has got us to the top of the league with most goals scored and least goals conceded. It works.

5 sub rule. Allegedly favours the big teams. However, if your tactics involve 10 men behind the ball all running like mad to close us down, while our tactic is to wear you down, then being able to make 5 subs actually helps teams that park the bus.

  10. Just back from a 2 generation, locally owned restaurant The Fish House. Best fish in Louisville and it was mobbed tonight.

    I blame…..

On the conversation about attending games it isn’t really quite fair. I’ve watched Celtic in maybe half a dozen countries, been to most major (ha!) grounds in Scotland, have, what I believe might be an unrivaled collection of Celtic t-shirts and ran downstairs with tears and snot dripping to tell my good lady we were spanking them 3-0 at half time.

I do love it over here but the hardest part is not going to the games week in, week out. OK, that and family who all still reside in Scotland but……

As maybe one or two of you know that is why I have been a regular lurker, occasional podium chaser since year 1, a Celtic TV subscriber since day one, and the first fan to build an app with the fastest goal and updates via push notifications, something I did for free.

I know much of this seems to stem back to the ‘you at the game today caller?’ quips but while game attendance is the holy grail it is not the only measure of being a fan, more than a fan, part of our beating hearts.

I’m on here because, well, we are a worldwide family now and us Scots and Irish get everywhere. Regular game attendance, while an obviously massive part and the 12th etc etc is not the only measure.

    HH!

    Ps Enjoyed this tonight.

    Free Big Jimmy.

  11. Raised our performance slightly from the last poor show but still 3 or 4 off it tonight

The subs especially Rogic and Forrest asked a question of a tiring St Miren but we don’t have a balanced front three.

O’Riley and Juranovic and Jota were best in the first half. In the second, it was the defence with yet another clean sheet and 2 goals contributed if you count Callum as our 3rd CB

Interesting heated conversation between ex Rangers (1872 – 2012) player (Sevco rep) and present Sevco player agent as to why “they’re not trying a leg”. Agent makes clear FIVE of the current squad want to walk off during an away fixture to make the point re racism. Ex player and agent argue about “racism”. They then calm down and agree it’s not racism but sectarianism! Agent claims the continuous “**** the Pope” chanting is having a negative effect on at least five of the Catholic Sevco players who want to walk off on one game before the end of the season to make the point taking the knee is not just a gesture. Conversation then turns back to racism v sectarianism. You heard it here first.

Hi mate.can you give a clue where you listened to the above? Time?

    Thanks Sionnaigh

  13. From above article.

Violating the maxim of relevance is actually a pretty common form of bullshi**ing. The result is bullshi* not merely because it isn’t relevant to our lives, but because it introduces noise into the communication channel. It crowds out the information that you are actually looking for.

  14. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

    Enjoyed the second half.

Juranovic, Carter-Vickers and Starfelt did well for me.

    Job done.

I’m not particularly worried about Sunday.

We were a struggling team when we lost there a long time ago now.

I also quite like playing teams on form away from home.

They come out just a little bit more.

  15. This might be the comment of the night:

I also quite like playing teams on form away from home.

They come out just a little bit more.

  16. Let me be clear, I don’t go to every game at Parkhead. I no longer go to away games.

But there are supporters that do. Imo the match day experience is everything. Number 1 priority.

We cannot do much about away games, but we must be able to improve the Parkhead match day experience.

That was an absolutely washed out affair tonight. It proactively encourages fans to watch the game in the house or the pub.

Transport costs, Unsocial travelling kick off times for fans, transportation infrastructure etc etc.

We must look at our options and summer football must be back in the equation,

    Good three points.

    HH, the journey continues.

“if you want world class performances every night go to the ballet.

back in the car, stuck, what a lot of shite people post, privelage to be at the sporting event that celtic won.

    roon yeese tornfaces.”

    —————————————

Hi SAINT, As one of the aforementioned tornfaces ( face like a torn melodion, as one of my mates used to say ), 😊 let me offer this in my own defence.

Reading the blog back after we know we’ve won is very different emotionally from expressing yourself live during the game, as any anxiety you had is drained away, and you can focus on the victory and three points. But consider this – even through the medium of Hesgoal channeling Celtic TV from 3,000 miles away, the first half anxiety of the crowd came through loud and clear. Even Tam Boyd was becoming anxious. We just played 2 games without scoring a goal, or even coming close, so I think some anxiety at the lack of scoring opportunities generated is quite a natural reaction. I’m sure all 42,000 at the game weren’t thinking during the first half, “Nae problem, scoosh case, never in doubt, easy peasy.” No?

P.S. I forgot to me mention – I replied to one of your posts at 7:43 PM.

  19. Bada Bing, Shelly Kerr is actually Karen Dunbar. Not in real life, Karen only plays Shelly’s part on Sportscene when requested. Take a good look at the make up, not the acting, which is real.

  20. Given where we were back in September, having already lost at Tynecastle, Ibrox, and Livingston, many a limb would have been gladly sacrificed to be three points clear and a +10 goal difference from the team in second, with only nine game to go.

Granted, we have been helped by our main rival’s inconsistent form since the winter break but that’s football, the league campaign is long and, at times, tortuous.

If I could be greedy and ask one last favour from Broony on Saturday afternoon. Leave that Ibrox pitch undefeated (again) and we will lobby for an honorary league champions medal to head in your direction.

  21. Good morning all from a wet Garngad

A wee update on the gathering tomorrow.

I have not been quite sick this week (thought I had covid but negative) been in bed for 3 days. I am 50/50 for manana.

Big Jimmy is not feeling to good either.

It’s going to be a late fitness test for us in the morning.

I will update in the morning as early as possible.

    Sorry Ghuys

    D :)

  22. Working last night and only heard it was 0-0 HT and the Huns were 1-0 up

Total delight at final result. Well done Celtic, on to Sunday

  23. BBC site:

`… Rangers remain within three points of the leaders after a 2-0 win at St Johnstone.`

That must have been a particularly late second goal.

Miind you, if they can lie about the name of their club, lying about the score is chickenfeed.

  24. what were the odds on 2 Callums scoring last night?

    super-callum-fragilistic? 😎☘
